Sue... Most Native Americans I know have a good sense of humor too.... My dad with a Sagittarius Moon had a GREAT one...always joking around even tho he was a serious Cancer. I'll give you an example of how "differet" the Native humor is.... There were a couple guys, Goober and Gomer Pyle (lovable rednecks), on the very popular Andy Griffith Show, which orginated back in the 60's and is still going strong on cable reruns here..... These guys would never say "hi" or "hello." It was always "Hey, Andy" "Hey Barney" etc...and in our family we always kind of do that too, for the fun of it... Well now to the Native humor part...My son Tom who works for our tribe has a new Native room mate named Al and when Tom and I were talking on the phone, I told him to tell Al that I said "HEY.." Tom told him and then said, Al says to tell you "straw." I know it's kinda "off the wall" but it sounded like something my dad might say.... IP: Logged |

Aww Sue.... ....about the "childlike quality".......so true.. ....and I hope I NEVER lose my "inner child."
I am so glad that, like a child, I always have this sense of wonder....and take delight in new things and discoveries.... I believe if people lose that, they become "hardened." Know what I mean? Oh yeah, I believe in leprechuans too Love, Rainbow Ps...here is a picture of me and my granddaughter Tianna when she was a baby...(she's 12 now).....but I was in such AWE of her (especially never having had any daughters)...and still am...(she's a little Scorpio!) jwhop's response in reference to my calling bush "the shrub"..... quote: It's supposed to be belittling to the president but really, it only shows the braindead quality of the minds who hatched the term and repeat it at every opportunity. When I intend to insult someone, I go about it directly...and truthfully. I call them what they are...brain dead morons, twits, "accidental Americans" etc., etc., etc.
Okay, jwhop..... bush is a brain dead moron, a twit and an "accidental American." Is that better?

I like that equally as well Rainbow.Bush the brain dead moron has a nice ring and it sure conjures up an image of leftists too....as being so mentally deficient that a brain dead moron has been beating the best candidates leftists have put forward in elections for the last 14 years. So Rainbow, if Bush, a brain dead moron is kicking leftists rears in every election AND Bush has a higher IQ than John Kerry...which he does, then should leftists be termed brain dead imbeciles? Perhaps I've been giving leftists too much credit by elevating them to moron status. And then, there's Dan Blather, so mentally deficient he went on a national news show with documents he had been told could not be authenticated and was also told the type face was suspect....and accused Bush of National Guard irregularities in his military record. Duh, how smart is it to totally destroy what little remained of Blather's credibility and the credibility of CBS News by using forged documents to attack Bush? IP: Logged |

Two prime examples of why the lying left is losing elections. Mirandee and Rainbow continue to push the bullsh*t that Bush lied about WMD in Iraq. All this when it's been shown repeatedly that the entire world believed Saddam had WMD, when WMD has actually been found in Iraq, when about 20,000 pounds of WMD from Iraq was interdicted by Jordan which was to be used by terrorists to attack the US embassy and Jordanian government. The leftist story continues to be Bush lied, people died. That's the same failed campaign strategy which lost lying leftists the last election, along with losing more House and Senate seats in Congress. Supposedly, Bush should not have believed what other governments believed about Saddam's WMD, including Saddam's Arab neighbors, that Saddam had WMD. Supposedly, Bush should have thrown George Tenet, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, out of his office when Tenet slammed his palm down on the table and said..."it's a slam dunk Mr. President, Saddam has Weapons of mass destruction". To hear lying leftists tell it, Bush should have known the head of his Intelligence service was either a bungling, incompetent hack or a liar. Tenet was a holdover from Commander Corruption's administration. Nevertheless, whether leftists believe their own lies or not, I would love to see the lies continue. It makes it crystal clear to American voters that leftists are either too stupid to recognize the difference between a lie and a mistake or alternatively it convicts leftists out of their own mouths of being the lying leftists I've always known them to be. In neither case are leftists ready for prime time or to be anywhere near the levers of power in the US government. IP: Logged |

once again...... Tenet's 'slam-dunk' He was told the "things" the Iraqis were moving and concealing were probably WMD. Finding that "less than convincing," Bush asked for a more detailed briefing by CIA Deputy Director John E. McLaughlin, which took place on Dec. 21 , 2002. McLaughlin's version used communications intercepts, satellite photos, diagrams and other intelligence. "Nice try," Bush said when the CIA official was finished."I don't think this quite – it's not something that Joe Public would understand or would gain a lot of confidence from." He then turned to Tenet, McLaughlin's boss, and said, "I've been told all this intelligence about having WMD, and this is the best we've got?" "It's a slam-dunk case," Tenet replied, throwing his arms in the air. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=38198

Yeah, they've found 500 WMD munitions in Iraq since the invasion. That's 500 more than Iraq was supposed to have. According to leftists, they haven't found any and Saddam destroyed them all after the Gulf War.Surely, you remember the WMD from Iraq destined for a terrorist attack in Jordan. Sufficient WMD to kill 80,000 people...according to Jordan, their estimate not ours. IP: Logged |

Jordan foils Al-Qaeda chemical attacks Officials say plot involved attacking intelligence department, Prime Minister's HQ, US embassy in Amman.
But officials did not provide details on those last two targets nor specify the type of chemicals they said the suspects behind bars had bought on the local market. Four other suspects were killed last week in Amman. A source close to the investigation said the chemicals consisted of "70 chemical agents, some of which were pesticides, which mixed together could have produced a formidable chemical weapon never used before". http://www.middle-east-online.com/english/?id=9803 IP: Logged |

New Intel Report Reignites Iraq Arms FightBy KATHERINE SHRADER The Associated Press Thursday, June 22, 2006; 11:11 PM WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of chemical weapons found in Iraq were produced before the 1991 Gulf War and probably are so old they couldn't be used as designed, intelligence officials said Thursday. Two lawmakers _ Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., and House Intelligence Chairman Peter Hoekstra, R-Mich. _ on Wednesday circulated a one-page summary of a military intelligence report that says coalition forces have recovered about 500 munitions with mustard or sarin agents, and more could be discovered around Iraq. "We now have found stockpiles," Santorum asserted. But intelligence officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the subject's sensitive nature, said the weapons were produced before the 1991 Gulf War and there is no evidence to date of chemical munitions manufactured since then. They said an assessment of the weapons concluded they are so degraded that they couldn't now be used as designed.
They probably would have been intended for chemical attacks during the Iran-Iraq War, said David Kay, who headed the U.S. weapons-hunting team in Iraq from 2003 until early 2004. He said experts on Iraq's chemical weapons are in "almost 100 percent agreement" that sarin nerve agent produced from the 1980s would no longer be dangerous. "It is less toxic than most things that Americans have under their kitchen sink at this point," Kay said. Intelligence officials said the munitions were found in ones, twos and maybe slightly larger collections over the past couple of years. One official conceded that these pre-Gulf War weapons did not pose a threat to the U.S. military before the 2003 invasion of Iraq. They were not maintained or part of any organized program run by Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/22/AR2006062201475.html IP: Logged |
