The judaic religion says in their book - the people asked Jesus "24 prophets have talked about you. are you the one?". Jesus replied "you talk about the dead while the living stands before you." [paraphrased]

24 is a significant number. In jainas too that number is quoted in their religious texts as having only 24 enlightened ones. In hindu scriptures too I think. Perhaps the universe allows only 24 people to be enlightened between two great buddhas who arrive and depart from earth.

Jesus and Krishna like figures are believed to have been enlightened even before the moment they are born and they remain so until their death and after wards. With Krishna I am sure that he was enlightened from the past. With Jesus on what I read , I do not think so. He studied in a mystery school and even went to the east to study spirituality perhaps with buddhists. There are several books that talks about it.

I also read somewhere that there are some buddhas who are waiting to go beyond are always available 24 * 7 to us if we could only listen. Some in the mountains where they previously practiced spirituality , in caves, some near rivers etc etc ...
Krishna , Jesus, etc once gone merge with the All. I don't think they would return.

Wasn't this whole Obama the antichrist episode a trip down the memory lane for us to seek the true christ within our heart?
My purpose was to heal broken hearts. To reach out to 42 millions who didn't vote for Obama. To give them hope.

And Oprah Winphrey should be called Oprah Windbag. She is promoting all false spirituality on her shows. I mean she has an axe to grind. She stole votes for Obama from her weird liberal base

But I am glad that the race part could be put behind forver in Americas collective consciousness and people will not have to deal with that in future elections. But one never knows about other excuses: Next they will want an atheist president, and then a gay president and then a intersexed president and then a chinese president and then a asian indian president , etc etc ..... The human mind never stops in their demands.

One particular work invoked the sacred, picturing Obama's great head--illuminated by sunbursts--emerging from the clouds over a bare-breasted maiden who is robed in an American flag and emerging from a volcano. Note that in the lower-right-hand corner an assemblage of people are literally kneeling before Obama.

And I am not that knowledgable about Imam Mahdi that you wrote about. Is he a benevolent being too guiding earthlings to the other side? BTW is that story of Prophet Mohammed dissapearing in air with the white horse, true? Did he return or will he?

When you are "one" you are "one in all" ... you are a drop of ocean ready to drop back into the ocean. Therefore I believe mass enlightenment is not possible. Just as the parable of the prodigal son where the parents waited for the man to come back home. The universe is waiting for us to come back back.

Obama will be a future Buddha who will drop his greed for power and throne and also become one of the Buddhas but not in this life.

Perhaps one of you was a king too , and therefore not mad about power of throne.

You start with the sun body and have to reach the moon body before you merge with the all. W was awesome to watch and I am proud to have become a citizen under him. Can't write more as no time.

I really enjoyed this journey with you all. Was very enlightening personally for me. Peace.

I've only begun to explore the stories describing the Mahdi, so it would be inappropriate of me to say more than the barest minimum.
Just the basics, at least as I understand them - Yes, he is benelovent. He will be make his appearance immediately preceding the time of Jesus' rebirth and, although he does not have the power to defeat Dajjal (anti-Christ) alone, he will "restore the Faith" and aid Jesus in the final battle. Mohammad said the Mahdi would be born of his "Family". Of course, it goes without saying that we can take the notion of "Family" literally, figuritively ... or both.

I would equate the story of Prophet Mohammed disappearing on a white horse with Jesus Christ disappearing into a cloud of light.
