I see much energy. Buddha took 6 years BTW.

If he is enlightened, can he really help much of the world, without knowing how to speak in english? I don't think he is an reincarnation of Buddha we came to know. He is unique as Gautama was unique and you and I are unique. Buddha means the enlightened one, the wise one the highest intelligent one. Not the intelligence that we qualify as 160 etc or as some Obamaphiles claim -- off the charts but of a different nature. It is the only intelligence that you need in your way to go back home. Pyhthagorus was a man who gave us great knowledge on numbers and was also enlightened himself I think. He too went to a mystery school.

RATANPUR, Nepal — The teenage boy revered as a reincarnation of Buddha sat silently in the jungle as he blessed his devotees Wednesday with a light tap on the head, which they consider the touch of the divine.

His face was still, his long hair spilled over his white robe, and he never said a word.

The followers of Ram Bahadur Bamjan, 18, believe he has been meditating without food and water since he was first spotted in the jungles of southern Nepal in 2005, when believers say he spent months without moving, sitting with his eyes closed beneath a tree.

Bamjan re-emerged this week to meet his followers, who have come by the thousands to see him in the jungles of Ratanpur, about 100 miles south of Katmandu.

"I got a chance to see God today," Bishnu Maya Khadka, a housewife, said after receiving Bamjan's blessing Wednesday. "They say he is Buddha, but for me he is just God."

Bamjan was expected to address his followers on Nov. 18 and then retreat again into the jungle for meditation, said Kamal Tamang, a Buddhist priest.
Bamjan received the pilgrims from atop a podium covered in yellow cloth and placed before a massive tree. He looked healthy and strong and showed no signs of starvation or dehydration.

Buddhism, which has about 325 million followers, mostly in Asia, teaches that every soul is reincarnated after death in another bodily form.

Some Buddhist priests have been reluctant to accept Bamjan as a true reincarnation of Siddhartha Gautama, who was born in southwestern Nepal roughly 2,500 years ago and became revered as the Buddha, or Enlightened One.

"Meditating without food does not prove that he is the reincarnation of Buddha," said Min Bahadur Shakya of the Nagarjuna Institute of Exact Methods, a Buddhist research center in Katmandu. "There is much study needed to be done."

The devotees who have flocked to visit him have fewer doubts. Colorful prayer flags fluttered and incense filled the air Wednesday as the pilgrims silently approached Bamjan, who was surrounded by a line of Buddhist monks.

"I have no doubt in my mind he is a God," said Meg Bahadur Lama, a local farmer. "He has been meditating without food and water and no human can achieve such a feat. I used to hear about such miracles in the past but now I got to see one."

>>>What did he really do the last three years while he disappeared? Just wondering

Meditating. He is known to have taken breaks after many many days during his meditation in search of food . It is very very dangerous, people die if help does not arrive in time or if the pull of this beyond world is so blissful that they are ready to give up their body. This is the first time he has been seen interacting with the public for this long.

And I don't know much abt his experiences-- he is supposed to address his people next week. How is he able to meditate without going to any school is a wonder. Not that it is impossible but with a teacher near you, he guides you and props you and it does not become arduous or fearful. I am as curious to know myself more abt him.

I don't think it is necessary to have a teacher. The kingdom of god is there, already, inside us. We just need to look for it.

Or maybe not even look, but feel.

God does not turn his/ her volume up to be heard...we must turn our volume down to hear.

Yes they are not necessary. But it is not so rosy when you seek. When you go hands on you need someone who was hands on. Teachers are hands on and will encourage you and be your critique, etc..

Even the best athlete has coach , don't they But not necessary everyone should.

You can take birth again and again several times until a door opens up or work on opening the door in the presense of a teacher. There are many fake ones out there though. Many new age ones especially.

I would still advice a teacher. Just to keep the tradition alive for future generations. Many will be enlightened in the future and knowledge must not be lost.

Nepal 'Buddha Boy' returns to jungle

KATHMANDU (AFP) – A young man believed by followers to be a reincarnation of Buddha has returned to Nepal's jungles to meditate alone, police said Saturday, as scholars cast doubt on his supporters' claims.

Known as the "Buddha Boy," Ram Bahadur Bomjam, 18, became famous in 2005 after supporters said he could meditate motionless for months without water, food or sleep.

"Bomjam went back into the jungle late Friday and all the devotees have left," police officer Gobinda Kushwaha told AFP from Neejgad, a town in Bara District, 60 kilometres (37.5 miles) south of Kathmandu.

The "Buddha Boy" reappeared earlier this month after supporters said in March 2007 that he was going to meditate for three years in an underground bunker, although he was spotted on two occasions.

For the last 10 days, he has been blessing thousands of devotees who came daily to the site in dense jungle close to Neejgad.

The president of the Nepal Buddhist Council said claims by his supporters that he was a reincarnation of Siddartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism, were not credible.

>>>Nepal 'Buddha Boy' returns to jungle

I wouldnt advice people to go to forest.

Take the middle path.

Krishna was the earliest known master who taught how to live in a material world and also be spiritual. He is very unique and still misunderstood to this day. The future generations will understand him better -- i.e The God who can dance, play his flute, flirt, fight, messenger of peace , teacher, etc... It is why I say that he is an Avatar before birth unlike many masters we have known to date. If any one of you are wondering -- My name is derived from him, but is not the reason why i am singing songs of him.

Gee, matter is not evil. Get over it buddhists and islamists and whoever

I thought he was supposed to address his followers on the 18th, before returning to the jungle...

Any word on that?
