I don't think I made a mistake
in the feelings I read before
Yet, there's a perceptible difference
in how he and I interact

Gone are the affectionate pokes and nudges
that I looked forward to filling my mental fantasy world with
Still, he made a point to let me know
he has saved every note to him that I wrote

I am so internally perplexed
My feelings haven't wavered but grown
The time and distance that kept us apart
made me realize I want a long-term relationship

He made a few cute, but childish jokes
about kissing, and how I approach my brothers
It makes me want to whisper purposefully
how I desire my first embrace to be him

Maybe I am asking too much
given our fairly young ages
But since he found out of my liking for him
he's yet to let me know how he thinks of me deep inside

I accept we're "good friends"
I need to know more than that
Is how my heart stirs merely chemistry,
or a powerful indication that on all levels we could work out as a couple?

Please give me a little sign
It need not be complex
I'd like an intuitive vibe
of where "we" might head next

Thanks Randall and endaphia.
I was aiming for an overall positive vibe, since that is what I am getting from the person involved. I somehow sense "we" are right, and yet right now the time is wrong, but we are moving in a good direction with the relationship, even if he is relocating to Colorado...at least that's the reassurance my I-Ching deck gave me when I consulted it shortly after writing this poem.
I'd still appreciate more comments from people on the poem itself though.

I will try my hardest, and give listening to that "intuitive vibe" my all (that's the biggest promise an Aries rising can make )
