May I come in? For I seek shelter;
among those who might offer comfort
to a weary traveler  I seek a refuge for a battered soul,
where it might find peace and rest;
for just awhile
I seek a sanctuary free from
the grasping
choking, sufficating black clouds
of
cruelty, crassness, crudeness,
pettiness, anger, hatefulness,
ignorance, greed, arrogance
hypocrycy, and visciousness? Might I find here
in this welcome dwelling safety? and an infusion of
my soul with
love? courage? kindness?
beauty? goodness?
wisdom? selflessness? humility?
tolerance and truth?
Might I find shelter here... Please? Love

so fresh!I greedily draw in deep breaths of
love...unconditional love....and

Now I will come out of the "poet's closet" (for in reality, I shouldn't have been there in the first place)..a poet I am not....altho I LOVE words!Here is something I was inspired to write a few years ago, when I fell totally and madly (Pisces/Scorpio) in love with a singer, and his music... His photo will follow the poem... TO HAL Wrapped in a Rainbow
Spun by the magic of his song
My spirit soars
Amidst the heavenly realms
of the universe

Rainbow, everything that you've written is a testament to your beautiful poetic soul...
I surely do know of whom you speak..."I Know Where Love Lives"..."Past The Point Of Rescue" *Sigh!* I've loved him since I was in my teens when he first made his appearance onto the music scene...I'm an aspiring songwriter here in the Athens Of The South. I know *sigh!* I love this city, If it only had the ocean as well, I would be in Heaven...But it does have an ocean of beautiful, creative souls. ------------------

Charlotte....you've been to my site?There's a lot to see there...probably take you awhile to see everything! But...you'll probably know me a little better for it....hope you enjoy.... I looked at your site too, and saw that you live in Nashville and are a songwriter...and I then KNEW we had a connection...I'm not a songwriter, but my sister and I used to sing country music MANY moons ago..and have been to Nashville many times...trying for that really BIG BREAK that never came along....but we still existed in the music world of the "not so bigs" and it was a fun time in our lives..........and I started out singing with my auntie who was an Aries and who's name was CHARLOTTE...one of my favorite aunts.........so there was another "connection." You are so young, and we did so much of this before you even born.....the Opry was then broadcast from the Ryman Auditorium....and we never made an appearance on the Opry, but we did get to sing on the Ernest Tubb Record Shop Midnight Jamboree, and on a WSM radio broadcast called Breakfast at the Opry, and also appeared on a TV show in WSIX...and Ralph Emery interviewd us on WSM radio when he was a disc jockey there...in our "heyday." I always hated leaving Nashville, when it was time to go, cuz it was our "dream city." *sigh* Oooh the memories! It's a whole new scene now, and the last time I was there was in l996 and it was at a fan club party for Hal...and there were many changes then... Anywho.... I have Venus is Pisces too (as well as my Moon), and Hal has Mercury in Pisces. ...and I came to this thread to "hide" (it's
that Pisces thing)......cuz I was taking a "brutal beating" over on another thread for my political beliefs...*sigh*...hence my beginning posts...and it did feel safe and loving here....I'm so glad I came.... Love,
