Glad you decided to post these, Fayte. 10 years old! Oh, wow...what a magical little girl you must have been. I've always felt such affinity with the Dove. I have a Dove tattoo on my back (got when I was 16). The association with Dove goes way back in time for me. I once had a very special and magickally profound dream of being at the edge of a peaceful pond in the middle of a forest and seeing a reflection in the still water of a pale Blue Dove flying overhead ....as it circled above, such Peace and Euphoria filled my heart and soul, that I have never felt in this world. I always felt the dream was a glimpse into the expansive realms of the range of potential feelings the Soul can feel. Maybe we are restricted to feel it in its entirety here and now. Mourning Dove...yes, I would say it is so fitting to our story. IP: Logged |

I had a pet mourning dove named Tesla. She rode on my shoulder when I walked or rode my bicycle. I was 9-10 then. I had other doves..domestic..white-grey-and a rare black one. I did not know about Tesla the inventor until many decades later. I was delighted to discover that he too loved doves...and Ritz Crackers...amongst other things I too love! But I just dreamt of my mourning dove's name..and Tesla was the name I got. I had rescued her when she was a barely feathered little thing that had fallen from her nest after the barn got struck by lightning! I carried her about inside my shirt and fed her until she could fly. But she refused to leave me, until the day she quietly died. IP: Logged |

Lialei, are you a Sag, too?AG, if you think Sags are a bit easier to get along with than other fire signs, it could be because Aries and Leo are usually described as being egotistical, and, for the most part, Sags are not, although we do have our moments. *Just a note: the above was merely a generalization, not intended to place Sags above Aries or Leos, or to put myself up or anyone else down. I don't have a lot of Leo friends, but my Aries friends are so full of themselves... that's not an insult; it's part of their charm, and they would say it themselves if I hadn't said it, and quite proudly, I might add! In fact, on the few occasions I've been shocked by some of my Aries' friends self-glorification, when I call them out on it, they take it as a compliment! Very few of my friends believe in astrology, and the ones who tolerate it see it as some sort of parlor game. Aren't these types the most fun to analyze astrologically?? Case in point: My fave Aries friend has a favorite line. Wanna know what it is? "I win!" Yes, my dear friend always wins... Sorry to digress from the topic. IP: Logged |

I guess I need to hang out with other Aries more often, because I don't think that I glorify myself that much ~ I could give you a laundry list of my faults (one being defensiveness lately ). I don't feel that I know how to communicate well with people anymore, yet I was told a couple of weeks ago that I deal with people very well. I'm not about winning, and only occasionally get competitive ~ when I do it's not to beat somebody else, but to improve on something myself; the knowledge that I could do it makes me feel good. I know you weren't being mean, so please don't think that I'm ticked off. There are definitely times when other traits of my sign show (since starting to write this, I've remembered a few times when I thought something wasn't right, and really made my opinion known). My Mars is in Pisces, so maybe that has something to do with it ~ toning the energy down a bit. Angela P.S. Maybe I'm glorifying myself by posting this? Ah, I don't know. Sorry for the intrusion. What a tender story of Tesla, Fayte. I've been wondering...since you are Native American as well...what are your totem animals? I believe that we have life-long destiny ones...but also others that are meant for particular moments of our life. One of mine is the Polar Bear. It's one of destiny, but also very important to this time in my life.Hello future Yes, I'm a Saggy too. I could relate very much to what you wrote. I'm that way myself and oftentimes don't fully relate to all of the traits of Sagittarius...although much rings true to me as well. I do feel very sensitive...sometimes too much so. And more inclined to be romantic and devoted. Verrrrrrrrry Idealistic romantically. IP: Logged |

Thank you teaselbaby Lialei Thank you also! Totem animals. Some odd ones. I had a Raven and a dark Toad for years. Then fierce little Hummingbird came. The last two to show up are odd...not native American! The Asvogel(a type of vulture) and a very humorous small fat Crocodile. Not all animals I would have chosen....but totems come when we need them....and are the ones we need not necessarily the ones we like the best. I have had living animals as pets..such as: white 3/4 wolf 30pound 6ft. Iguanna Many cats and lots more kinds! But the totems are odd I think! But Cool! PS.There are other creatures I love! the Moth(any type) the Monarch butterfly the Frog the Dragonfly the Cicada(which folks call in terrible error..a locust! It IS NOT!) the Snake the Turtle the Scorpion(both the poisonous and large black non poisonous type) Many others!

Angela, glad you gave your thoughts. I'm divorcing an Aries right now, so thought it best not to comment. But really...he has a good heart deep down, and I wouldn't have called him egotistical. Virgo Moon perhaps made him more humble than most Aries. Always have to look at the overall chart and each person as an individual first, I believe. Everyone's unique. IP: Logged |

Fayte, good morning to you! Thanks for sharing those. Crocodile...oooooh....really tells you a lot by the animal's behavior. Imagine a crocodile immersed in the water with only his eyes peeking out. They teach one to analyze, scrutinize, discriminate...take all different sides and objectives in before forming judgements. Raven is quite a cool one. The beholders of all the Great Mysteries of the Void. That one kept coming to me again and again the past few years. Love how yours are all so different! They go well with your uniqueness. I had the wildest dream a few months back. In it, a strange dog/racoon creature walked up to me. It had 2 heads on one body. A dog head and a racoon head. In the dream I was talking nonchalantly, about how I needed to integrate the aspects of these with my totem the Polar Bear. And in the dream I felt I should be afraid of the creature, but wasn't. ? When I awoke,it finally set in with me that Polar Bear was one of my totems. I had been dreaming of them for years and years, but didn't really get it. (duh) I think if a totem can't come to you in life, due to not being in your local climate...you Will see it in dreams. It will find you somehow, regardless. Or sometimes You even know by strong emotions or feelings they bring about. Others of mine are Deer, Hummingbird (delicate heart~life without Beauty--meaningless), the Eagle and above, The Dove.

One more I forgot is Spider. I have this kind of fear of them, mixed with a respective Awe. I won't ever kill one. Find them majestically powerfully awing and Sacred. Will overcome my fear of handling them long enough to scoop them up and set them free outside to weave and create some more. IP: Logged |

Hello everyone and anyone! A few folks have e-mailed me and said they'd like to see this thread continue! Sooooo.... Along with anything you want to talk about... Not just the thread subject... How about telling us a fantasy lifetime you would love to have had....concerning love.. Or any movies that triggered something deep within you about love...happy or sad... that you cannot explain by the experiences in this lifetime. I know of many folks who are drawn to historic movies and stories...love or war or just history in general themes... Even if you do not remember any past lives...these could indicate the possibilty of times you did live in! Also gender switching!!!!! How many feel they were of the opposite sex in the past? How many feel like the opposite sex inside..wether straight or gay or bi?????? Ok..this thread has many ways to continue! Have fun! Love fayte PS.Lia! Oooohhh! SPIDERS!!!!! they creep me out and fasinate me at the same time! I like finding a great web....scooting spider out...then spraying it with a clear spray paint or white....and taking a piece of sheared velvet and mounting it on that! Add a few little glass beads or whatever for dewdrops and a fake but real looking spider and you have a strange and lovely piece of "art". IP: Logged |

Wow, Fayte! I love your spiderweb idea. I love making crafty things.Mexico seems to draw me, and if you remember, I told you about a strange experience my bf and I shared regarding some Mexican mental images. (in the "who were you" thread.) I, too, hope this thread continues! IP: Logged |

future_uncertain Thank you! Yes I love to make odd things...out of natural things. Like trolls and all and people...out of things I find in the woods. Apples are great for heads! Take a big apple....carve a face into it! As it drys it will shrink and aquire a strange look almost human skin like! Apply hair to its scalp with glue...make pin holes in the head and insert each hair in small clumps or individually just like a hair transplant! Ad glass beads fo eyes or very tiny glass eyes..be sure to leave only a slit for eyes when you carve it beacuse as it shrinks it will become eyelids and just glue and slip the eyes into the lids and there you have it...eyes with eyelids! You can glue the lids in what ever position you would like. Also this makes for very realistic shrunken heads! Sew the mouth and eyes shut! Add to any head..whiskers...and beards...eyrebrows ans eyelashes! Teest can be added too! Beads..seashells make great teeth..or little pieces of old combs...the tips! Yes..I hope this thread continues no matter what turns it takes! PS. To keep your apple head from overshrinking..soak in gycerin or a preservative that keeps it from drying out too much.

Hi'Ya All Fayte ~ I love reading of your Guides.... I wonder if you might give insight, with regard to your own, personal experience and, interpretation, of Raven's medicine...? I have read from book's and on-line but, would love a more personal understanding... and, I have been drawn to You, in particular, since reading one of your posts, for the first time My interest, in Raven medicine, stems from the first lexigram I had ever done and, I believe that was shortly, before your arrival to LL. The first post, that I read of yours, however, was not about lexigraming.... hmmmm .... co-ink-ee-dink? I like to think not! Anyhoo, if you should like to share, it will be appreciated, thouroghly. My own Guides include, Horse, my Life-er and, like Lialei, I have shared experiences in powerful dreams involving Horse medicine. Cougar is and, has been for some time now, an extreemly uncomfortable and STRONG Guide in my life... I've, not yet, come to understand clearly why but, the MagPie has always drawn me... These birds are funny,.... in an odd, fascinating way, to me... ~ geminstone IP: Logged |
