blame it on the grimy rain, it stained the white flowers left on the porch, soaked through the envelope and the running ink read "you are inconsequential" instead of whatever he meant to leave blame it on the sullen rain it brought me down from sailing the happy seas, left with a classy frown and two cups of rich tea I was looking for poetry to read aloud but the echo frightened me, ill eggshell wall colour left me uninspired blame it on the deceiver/rain where the skies should be Northern silver they are gypsy black and no leaves stuck on my shoes, only wet and the scarf is too much, but the winds too cold blame it on the fickle rain what vivid songs and thoughts danced lascivious tangoes through my mind and washed my strained and broken thoughts clean, left delicious whiteness, but the sneaky rain came and went I blame it on the callous rain it's not warm misty romance weather when the drops blow to and fro with no grace and umbrella cover does little for these pygmy hurricanes and nobody, not anyone can hum sweetly with wet socks.
