..... I have no idea of background...
but, in the position of a "moderator"... you should refrain from making personal comments..since you cleared that You ARE responding to this thread as a "moderator only". it is not abt winning or losing an argument.. MODERATOR is a neutral placement... THINK Again.. regards, Highly Inflammable.

Highly Inflammable, I told Mirandee I was no longer communicating with her. When I responded to her in that post, it was purely as a moderator. It was not personal, and I made that clear. Nothing I said in that brief reply was personal.
I never said I was responding to this entire thread only as a moderator. But in that one post I was specifically wearing the moderator cap. I made that distinction only because it was necessary in that instance. I do not think it is generally necessary to make stark divisions between the things I say for myself, and the things I say in my role as moderator, since, after all, I was made a moderator in the first place precisely because the things I say for myself are, for the most part, relatively objective and fair-minded, - or, at least, because Randall believes so. I'm sure I will not be a better moderator than I am a person, or a worse person than I am a moderator. It's all me, and I will not excuse my bad behavior by saying that I was not speaking as a moderator, nor will I rise to the occassion and be fair only when I don the moderator cap. To my mind, that way of thiking reeks of something sinister. sincerely, hsc

nice... I can see how randall must have been impressed by your capabilities..... qte impressive.... seems perhaps I dont have any chance of ever being a moderator... which by no means is a bad thought, for it is delicate balancing act which requires a lot of input, clear conscience as well as plenty of patience with time. Good of you to demarcate the post where you were and where you were not wearing the "mod cap"... nice easy flexible gear it is ... one day with the advancement in techonology, perhaps LLand will assign different colors for it,, which will save a lot of hassle on both ends. Good Day. Yours truely, H.I. PS: since I am leaving for vacations tomorrow morning,if you feel the need to reply back or you could not suppress the urge to reply back.. ?? IP: Logged |

Well, speaking for myself, as the only Taurus in this I haven't been on this thread in days. Been beating the dead horse at FFA instead. Besides, Taureans are notorious for beating dead horses. It's that tenacity we have. Scorps can be ten times more stubborn than Taureans are so maybe that's the problem? This Taurus knows "when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em" so you will be happy to know that it ended tonight on the other thread, BR. Hopefully on a bit of a good note. IP: Logged |

i tried to post these last night. this is the box i checked to delete the post. when you edit most of your posts this box apears by itself, but when you edit the first post in a thread, a warning comes up that it will delete the thread. I didnt see this warning when i checked the box, but i definitely see it now.
