The truth of love, spoken clearly, is like a great flood that purges the land of all that is merely superficial and unrooted in the natural order. Nothing false can stand in its wake. The mouths of the foolish and the wicked are stopped, and the tides of ignorance and animosity ebb like phantoms in the morning light. Only the truth of love has this magnificent cleansing power. But it must be spoken. It must never be silent.

~ Valerian

Try to do something for your people - something difficult. Have pity on your people and love them... If there is discord among your people, intercede. Take your sacred pipe and walk into their midst. Die if necessary in your attempt to bring about reconciliation. Then, when order has been restored and they see you lying dead on the ground, still holding in your hand the sacred pipe, the symbol of peace and reconciliation, then assuredly will they know that you have been a real chief.

~ Winnebago lesson

A good heart and a good mind -
these are what you need to be a chief.

~ Louis Farmer, Onondaga Elder

You must speak straight so that your words may go as sunlight into our hearts.

Live your life that the fear of death
can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about his religion.
Respect others in their views
and demand that they respect yours.
Love your life, perfect your life,
beautify all things in your life.
Seek to make your life long
and of service to your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day
when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting
or passing a friend, or even a stranger, if in a lonely place.
Show respect to all people, but grovel to none.
When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light,
for your life, for your strength.
Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason to give thanks,
the fault lies in yourself.
Touch not the poisonous firewater that makes
wise ones turn to fools and robs their spirit of its vision.
When your time comes to die, be not like those
whose hearts are filled with fear of death,
so that when their time comes they weep and pray
for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.

Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

"Although it stands to reason that a samurai should be mindful of the Way of the Samurai, it would seem that we are all negligent. Consequently, if someone were to ask, "What is the true meaning of the Way of the Samurai?" the person who would be able to answer promptly is rare. This is because it has not been established in one's mind beforehand. From this, one's unmindfulness of the Way can be known.

"Lower-frequency systems pull energy from higher-frequency systems. If you are unaware of your emotions and your thoughts, your frequency will be lowered by - you will lose energy to - a system of lower fequency than your own. We say, for example that a depressed person is "draining" or that he or she "sucks up energy." A system of sufficiently high frequency will soothe or calm, or refresh you because of the effect of the quality of its Light upon your system."
Such a system is "radiant."

~ Gary Zukov

Everything you need is within you
The Kingdom of Heaven is within you

~Jesus

"Take your hands off the steering wheel. Be able to say to the Universe, "Thy will be done," and to know it within your intentions. Spend time in this thought. Consider what it means to say, "Thy will be done," and allow your life to go into the hands of the Universe completely. The final piece of reaching for authentic power is releasing your own to a higher form of wisdom."

~ Gary Zukov

These quotes are speaking to me.

"Do not discriminate in terms of what you can and should ask and speak about. Just assume and live in the beauty of the bond. Do not fear dependency. What is wrong with being dependent upon the Universe, whether that is your Teachers or Divine Intelligence? You do what you do for yourself and Universe and your nonphysical Teachers and guides are there in assistance. They will never do it for you. Delight in the dependency. Give your guides and Teachers permission to come closer.
When you ask for guidance and assistance, simply assume that it immediately is pouring forward. You may need to work a while to relax your mind into receptivity, or you may need to have lunch, or drive into town or do whatever it is that you need to do in order to relax your mind to hear or to feel, but live in the total assumption that the moment that you ask for guidance it is pouring in.
Try looking at life as a beautifully well-organized dynamic. Trust the Universe. Trusting means that the circumstance that you are in is working toward your best and most appropriate end. There is no when to that. There is no if to that. It is. Release your specifications and say to the Universe: "Find me where you know I need tobe." Let them go and trust the Universe will provide, and so it shall. Let go of all. Let your higher self complete its task.
Allow yourself to pray. Just as the many times human beings find themselves in circumstances where the hurt or the pain is so great that on their own power they cannot forgive, it is enough that they pray to be given the grace, the perception, the elevated Light that will allow them to forgive.
It is impossible for you to come full circle in this way of empowerment without prayer. It is not enough to want to or intend to meditate. You must pray. You must talk. You must ask. You must believe. That is partnership.
Think of what you are doing as entering into partnership with Divine Intelligence, a partnership in which you begin to share your concerns with the understanding that there is an Intelligence receptive to what you are saying that helps you create within your own environment of matter and energy the most effective dynamics to bring you into wholeness."

~Zukov

"When you pray, you draw to you, and invoke, grace.
Grace is uncontaminated conscious Light.
It is divinity."

~Z

Wow, its been a long time. I wrote some lyrics (and a melody in my head) back when I was reading this book like crazy. Its been 7 years or more. The song began playing in my mind again when I was typing. I'm glad I was inspired to pull this book out again.

Oh yep, I am remembering the lyrics now and I know I have them written in a lyric binder too. Hmmm... well, here is the beginning which I remember... *then I went to get the binder for the rest*

***No Easy Road***

There's hard work to be done
in the world today
No doubt about that

And I know that I'm strong
in my own way,
and there's no turning back

Miracles happen
Magic makes sense
Your wishes come true
No coincidence

And maybe in
the next life
things will be
brighter
And maybe in
the next life
my soul will be
lighter

And maybe next time around
people will see

things'll be different
and I'll be free to me

There's no easy road
take the path less travelled
life is a challenge
But at one day at time
and with a deep breath
I know that I'll manage

Have faith in the Universe
Care about your health
Love one another
And Know Thyself

And then...

Maybe in the next life
things will be brighter
Maybe in the next life
your soul will be lighter
Maybe next time around
You'll know what to do
Things will be different
You'll be free to be you

(bridge)
There's a light up ahead (ahe-ehhh-ed)
Only the strong will see

There's a place - a time -
for everything

Everyone's a star (a-arrr)
If they Believe

We all find our way
eventually
(I guar-en-teeeeeee)

Open up your heart
Expand your mind
Prepare for your journey
Its about time...
so...
Maybe in This life
things will be brighter
Maybe in This life
Our souls will be lighter

Maybe this time around
we will see
The truth in our hearts
that will set us free

~by MysticMelody copyright 1999 (gonna party like its...)

I was reading the above quotes again and read these two again:

Destiny? But

What We Think Will Come About? But doesn't that also...
go against..
? hmm

I'm feeling so much right now...

I love you both so much.

I love truth and beauty.

I rededicate myself to Love.

No more scattering my energies to the four corners,
this is the time to consolidate and find my center.

Yesterday, I lifted weights a bunch of times throughout the day, while I was watching t.v. The day before that, I lifted a few times. For the past three days in a row, I've gone for walks and picked up litter along the way. This is all new to me. I'm taking better care of myself. I feel something BIG is coming, is already here. I'm very excited and full of faith and vigor. In a few minutes, I'm going to the health food store, and I'm going to be positively ascetic, lol.

I have to repeat this one, because every time I hear it some profound gasp goes up inside me, it is absolutely moving to me:

Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

I really feel a strong connection to Native American Wisdom these days. That, and the writings of Annie Besant, the Theosophist. I want to read more and more of both of these.

If anyone knows good collections of Native American Wisdom, please share.
Maybe I'll reattempt Black Elk Speaks.

Love to All,

Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit
He took the midnight train goin anywhere

A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill,
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin anything to roll the dice,
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

Dont stop believin
Hold on to that feelin
