I saw the movie, The Lost City, recently. Bill Murray was in it (I really like him ). There is one joke he made that stood out to me. I will try to re-assemble it from memory, but I do not guarantee any elite accuracy... Andy Garcia's character walks into a room where Bill Murray's character is laying on a couch. Garcia looks really distraught and pensive. Bill Murray looks at him and says: "Would you care for some serious advice from a guy who's hardly ever serious?" Garcia: "No!" Murray: "Good, 'cuase that was it." IP: Logged |

When people do not stop and think through certain issues, it does not matter whether those people are geniuses or morons, because the quality of the thinking that they *would* have done is a moot point. -- Thomas Sowell

Even the gods love jokes -- PlatoGod has a smile on His face. ~ Psalm 42:5 Humor is the great thing, the saving thing, after all. The minute it crops up, all our hardnesses yield, all our irritations and resentments slip away, and a sunny spirit takes their place. - Mark Twain I never would have made it if I could not have laughed. It lifted me momentarily out of this horrible situation, just enough to make it livable. -- Viktor Frankl I was irrevocably betrothed to laughter, the sound of which has always seemed to me to be the most civilized music in the world. - Peter Ustinov He deserves Paradise who makes his companions laugh.

Do not meditate, do not reflect. Abide in the natural state." —The Six Rules Of Tilopa "Some there are that torment themselves afresh with the memory of what is past; others, again, afflict themselves with the apprehension of evils to come; and very ridiculously both - for the one does not now concern us, and the other not yet ... I do not believe in God because I do not believe in Mother Goose.~ Clarence Darrow If God kills, lies, cheats, discriminates, and otherwise behaves in a manner that puts the Mafia to shame, that's okay, he's God. He can do whatever he wants. Anyone who adheres to this philosophy has had his sense of morality, decency, justice and humaneness warped beyond recognition by the very book that is supposedly preaching the opposite.

When the rabbits are caught, the snare is forgotten. The purpose of words is to convey ideas. When the ideas are grasped, the words are forgotten. Where can I find a man who has forgotten the words? He is the one I would like to talk to." - Chuang-Tzu
