Great choice of colors! She's beautiful!I've recently attempted some linocut for embossing and realized how hard it is to make something like that. How on Earth do you make a duotone one? IP: Logged |

Thanks for the input Noisis . Yeah gotta tell ya, its wayyy too much pre-planning Lol! But hey... the end result is always worth it . quote: How on Earth do you make a duotone one?
Simple; Two Lino-cuts . The positioning of them on the print however, matters the most. So what I do is I pre-scale, measure and cut the print paper out to size and position it on a sort of home made guide for the prints to position on. With Duo-tone, always apply the lighter colour cut first and then the darker one. If all goes well, the end result is worth the work Lol! IP: Logged |

I don't think I've heard of that art style before now. I looked it up. Looks pretty neat. Was this a project for something, or did you just spontaneously want to carve linoleum?IP: Logged |

naiad:Oh, the fireworks... I am touched *sniff* Lol! Fanks babe . Acoustic: Just something random I just wanted to add to my little portfolio . I did a few Linocuts in highschool but they were all Mono-tone. So I decided to experiment a bit and go with a duo-tone one for the portfolio. And well... The results didn't disappoint me Lol!

naiad:As Acoustic said, you said nothing wrong at all . Seems like my little attempted-humour replies don't seem to get warm reception these days Lol! I totally liked your comment . IP: Logged |

I'm not finished with this yet, but this is something I've been working on this weekend: http://www.acidplanet.com/components/playfile.asp?asset=1025254&T=2116 (Temporarily allow pop-ups if it goes that way. It's just a Windows Media player in a window.) IP: Logged |

Node:Thanks. Actually there was a time where it kinda fascinated me but now its just gone way too commercial for my taste. BOE: Try it babe . It would make a nice addition to your portfolio. Acoustic: Hmmm, the link seems to crash everytime I open it. IP: Logged |

Oh bummer. This may work better. It's the webpage address. http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=1025254&T=45 Ohhh. I just realized what it might be. I've been editting it as I go along, so I've been deleting old versions and uploading new versions. I've always tried to update the link here, but maybe you caught it at a time I hadn't updated the link yet. Could just be a pop-up blocker as well, but I'm sure you're smart enough to get around that. IP: Logged |
