I used to be an atheist. It's tough not believing in a Higher Power when you keep seeing synchronicities that continue to defy rational explanation.

Yeah, Ranch is great on just about anything. But I prefer French on salad.

I'm not sure what I believe. I just know that I don't believe in the bible.

Your life sounds alive

I think agnostic is what I'd use if I had to label myself. As such, I can do with believers and non-believers alike as long as it's not too extreme, I don't enjoy extremes.

I like the idea of people having faith but not a specific religion, sounds like a good compromise to me, something easy to interact with for me

If you keep on sinning and he's gotten all religious, somehow there can be balance made from that too

Dressings to me are for special occasions, I'm very simple with my salads most of the time.
But, I think the game is imperfect (or culturally not adapted to my taste buds lol), as I truly believe jalapenos aren't made better by ranch (even though I agree ranch is pretty amazing)

I meant to get custard mix at the world market! Damn. I still have an apple pie in the freezer, that we need to eat.

*Edit. Sorry, you've just reminded me.

I don't go for ranch dressing, but I don't mind the nachos. I have a scone mix in my cupboard, but need a food processor to mix it up (everything has been breaking around here). Also, my clotted cream went over the sell-by-date. I'm so disorganized.

They're good with cream and jam. They're supposed to crumble a bit, although the ones over here are different from the ones I grew up with England. Aren't you the one who mentioned scones, though? I can't remember.

In England, for a couple of years, I would take the bus with mum, in the morning, and if we had time before work and school, she would have coffee with friends at an underground cafe at the station - I would buy scones, and some tea, sit for a little while, and then walk to school. I'd have part of the large scone for breakfast, and the rest for lunch, just with butter on it. I hardly ever eat them, but get them for holidays, or special occasions. It's a bit of home.

I don't think we'll be speaking anymore. I don't like extremes either, and he's just gone off the deep end with it. I'm wondering where the man was, that I reconnected with a couple of months ago. But if he needs that, then good for him. I just won't have him forcing it on me, or using it to insult me. He did that twice in less than a week. He needs to find someone who believes in that, too, and isn't quite so "rebellious" as he called me. I don't know what he was thinking - he knew me years ago, he knows who I am. Or he should.

But those would fall in the "chocolate" category (even if I wouldn't always agree )

@Randall
I'll go with teasel on that one, scones are naturally dry and meant to be eaten with cream and jam, it's one of the reason I'd never have them from a shop but only fresh, at some fancy place with posh afternoon tea (afternoon tea ). A proper scone, with only butter, that's a distinct taste. Out of that big symbolism, they are not my favourite, tea and biscuits is a national treasure of its own and it can be easily recreated abroad Also, mince meat pies, even from the shop (think M&S) can bring me comfort on a sour day

I do love the sound of scones and peppermint tea, even though together as an actual thing, they are not the best The words sound nice together

@teasel Awww, something about your words just make me want to give you a big warm comforting hug It does sound bad, I mean extremes rarely feel lovely.
O my! Yes!!! People do love that, don't they? They spend time with you, you actually give them something, you open up, you're honest and they repay you with not knowing yourself at all, either by blaming you for intentions you'd never have or expecting you to speak or act against all your most intimate truths.... Something about people, whether willing or not, that makes them rarely appreciate getting to know others; that gift we all have and can decide to give, to let another in; tis so often repaid with blunt indifference and the confused face of someone who's convinced they haven't seen you (or you haven't let them!) and are just sad you're not that image they had decided you were...
