That was neat how Joan talked Andy into staying (based upon what she had learned). A bit predictable that he would show up with Kevin, but very impacting nonetheless. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Greetings...Yes, true enough about the predictability... but I think poignant. I think this show gets better with time and as they feel more comfortable allowing God to "come through" as it were. Greetings...Well, it is hard to make every show a winner all the time, for sure. God knows in Life nothing is ever all tied up within the 45 minutes alloted to dramatic television. I think also it was hard to come back from where we were left last season finale, with Joan in torment and questioning if not "abandoning" her faith. And I think like all new shows, the characters have to sort of "find themselves" and create believable relationships etc. All in all though, I think they are handling a fascinating concept in a realistic and "buyable" manner. Certainly even with Touched By An Angel, the producers had to walk a fine line with the God concept, and not to lean too heavily on any particular tradition. Though this show seems to have strong Catholic undertones, the subject is dealt with more SPIRITUALLY than religiously, which is its saving grace, I believe. I mean, we can't really have God propounding RELIGION, can we? In the Light... A ------------------ "The ALL is MIND; the Universe is Mental." *** The Kybalion IP: Logged |

I agree, as always. In one episode God even said that all religions are just different ways to reach Him (or something like that). ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Hi Aselzion!I hope life is bringing lots of good things to you too! Life is taking me to Paris on Monday. I've never flown so far and out of North America before. So it will be a fun adventure with just a backpack and an umbrella. Love, Aphrodite IP: Logged |

Hey Mighty...Paris... that's wonderful! I haven't been there... yet. Someday I hope to do a good deal more traveling than I have so far. Have a marvelous time, and come back to tell me all about your travels in the "city of Lights". Love and magic... I think this was the absolute best episode of Joan ever! To see joan coming into her own wisdom... *sigh* And what a tear-jerker when Kevin walked and when God explained about what a lie does and how important truth is. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Greetings...It was in the top 3 I'd have to say! Definitely a tear jerker on several levels. Is it my imagination or is Joan's hair more red now than brown? I think it always had a reddish cast, but now I think there's more red than before. Amber Tamblyn, Roma Downey... both Taureans... both in shows about God! Very interesting! In the Light... They did electrical impulse therapy on Kevin, and he walked. Audrey was railroaded. I will miss her. Seeing Kevin with the ex-nun was nice. And he kissed her, too. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Greetings...Hrmmm... yes I think Kevin and the nun could be fun. Anyone think that Adam and Bonnie may be the next "item" on the menu? Just a hunch.. not that I WANT to see that happen, just seems like something that might creep in. I love that Grace took Luke to that restaurant! Gotta Love the way God works, eh? In the Light... Yes--on all counts. I thought Grace looked really beautiful when she smiled as she surprised Luke. Hello there...Yup, she looked particularly good there. I don't think that she's unattractive, I just think they play down her looks for that role. She has "something" about her. In the Light... A ------------------ "The ALL is MIND; the Universe is Mental." *** The Kybalion IP: Logged |
