This wasn't one of the better episodes (it kind of dragged too slow), so I can imagine it wouldn't have been a good one to watch without knowing what is going on. Usually, God asks her to do things that make no sense, but at the end it is all tied together. It's one of the most synchronous shows ever on television. What I liked about this episode is that God showed His humanity--His emotions that we are molded from--in that He was deeply saddened to hear of Joan's choice and would miss her. And then, the walk and wave of the right hand that is His trademark. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Greetings...I actually think that Amber Tamblyn is a very pretty girl, although with my chart, Taurean women usually make me take a second and third look. It looked to me like she lost a bit of weight, and I actually kinda dug the "do". Things that made me happy: seeing the little girl God in the park.. she cracks me up! Seeing God tell her "I'm used to that!" when Joan told him, "I'm ignoring you". The punked out surfer girl nun! That God appears to her in many varied forms. But I like that we see some of the classics over and over again! What made me sad: Joan's repeated denial of God... but I know she'll come around soon, otherwise there would be no more show... right? The book seller's crazy wife with the dead rabbit. That was disturbing. (but I have to admit that my twisted sense of humor made me think: "HOSENFEFFER!" <spelling -5> and that kinda made me chuckle. But I am a nurse, and you do have to have a sick sense of humor for that job!) That Joan and Adam don't seem to be connecting... but since Christopher Marquette finally got his picture in the opening credits makes me think that we haven't seen the last of that relationship! Overall, I generally like the show.. though still not as much as my beloved Touched By An Angel... but I think it's quality TV, and about time that another TV show fearlessly uses the "GOD" word! Blessings in the Light... A ------------------ "The ALL is MIND; the Universe is Mental." *** The Kybalion IP: Logged |

Greetings Aselzion, why do you always say greetings? It reminds me of an alien. Anyway, I remember Touched by an Angel, I was watching that show when I was in the 4th and 5th grade. That was a great show, but I was still to young to discover some of the hidden meanings. Also I liked Joan of Arcadia because it was very unique, the actors are very unlike the actors that I'm used to. Very different set of actors that aren't exactly super models. I thought the show was very funny when Jane's brother and her best friend were making out, and he had to be signing a contract to do so. I liked it when God told Jane he'd be in the Religion Section at the book store when she ignored him. I also picked up on the part where God said, "I'm used to that." The bunny thing was absolutely crazy, and I cried when I saw Jane's crippled brother. The only thing I didn't get, was the fact that if everyone else could see God walking around, then why was Jane still calling God unreal? I don't like the music much, it needs to be softer in my opinion. -StarLover IP: Logged |

Her name is Joan. Adam (her sort-of boyfriend) started calling her Jane, and God did the same just in this episode. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Greetings...Yeah, Joan is Joan to everyone but Adam, to him she is always Jane. And I think that suits them both! I love the over the shoulder wave God does when he walks away from Joan... it speaks volumes! I actually kinda like the music, particularly the opening theme "One of Us" by Joan (a-ha) Osborne! I loved that song from the first time I heard it... I think it speaks volumes; but things containing the Truth always do. I want to get one of thos new flip phone cellular dealies that actually play songs instead of rings... if I could, I'd use that as my ring tone! I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. I think the show is well done, but SUBTLE. Often I pick up on things that I missed the first time through when I see it in rerun.. or if I take a second look while I have it stored on my TiVo. Blessings... A ------------------ "The ALL is MIND; the Universe is Mental." *** The Kybalion IP: Logged |

Greetings...Yep.. when she was in the park, the God on skateboard did in fact call her Jane. I think that was after having heard Adam try to call her back as she was swooping away from him. I thought it was kinda cute. And I think that may have been her father. The guy that usually walks all those dogs... but I could very easily be wrong about that. BB... I haven't sen the show, but it sounds intriguing. I'll try to check it out.I just popped in to give a message to Aselzion...the full moon calls to you these days...look for a sign in your dreams or around something that is connected to dreams. It came on the Blue Moon in July as well. What you seek now seeks you. I know it all sounds cryptic and strange and I really have no idea what it means. I just feel like I'm supposed to tell you that. Good luck! IP: Logged |

Greetings...Dear Sister FishKitten... Thank you for the message. I have just cast a chart for the upcoming full moon, and will try to be diligent about monitoring and recording my dreams for the next few days. I will let you know what comes to me at this time, and again, I thank you for your perspective. And please, feel free to share any more information that may come through, I appreciate any messages that I get. In terms of Joan of Arcadia... I think you might get a kick out of it if you get a chance to check it out. I certainly am a fan. Brightest Blessings... That was such an easy episode! The P.M. was horrible, and she didn't even know it. The man that really stood out in my eyes was definitely Raj. I totally like him. I really hope he wins. I can't see any of the girls winning, they're a complete and utter disgrace. Funny how Stacy J. was a restauranteer, and the girls would have greatly needed her in this episode. Well don't you just love karma? I like how the show was very responsible, and made Stacy J. out to be a scapegoat which was the truth.-StarLover IP: Logged |

Wednesday's episode showed very little in the Boardroom; on Saturday, a full 3/4 of the hour was the Boardroom. It was almost violent. Trump told them he doesn't think the girls stand a chance of winning this. Best Boardroom ever! But I still wouldn't miss the regular episode, because on Saturday they cut a alot of the actual task out of the show. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." They were at each other's throat. Wednesday's episode made it look like it was an easy decision, but that was only after the arguments were said. Jennifer dug herself in deeper and deeper. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Jennifer is facing a lot of real life trouble. She lost her real job over the comments she stated on television. Trump was right, she just didn't know how to shut up. -StarLover IP: Logged |

That was the second episode that I saw on Joan of Arcadia, and I guess none of these episodes have really produced a kicker for me. I want to see more of God talking to Joan.-StarLover IP: Logged |

From here on out, Joan of Arcadia will be good. They had a cliffhanger from the season finale that they had to resolve. Now we will get to see God talking to her again and see the synchronicity the show is known for.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Greetings...I really liked this last episode, but I have been following along since the beginning. This show is much more subtle about things than Touched By An Angel, in that God does not always come out clearly with a revelation for Joan. Many times God stirs the pot, and then let's Joan learn the lesson for herself. Which I think is the way it is with many metaphysical situations... you become a witness to something that you may not necessarily be involved in, and then learn a great deal from the periphery. I'm not thrilled with Joan's friend from razy camp... Judith, I think. I would be very happy if that girl was never seen or heard from again. Her energy was very disruptive. In the Light... I wonder if the show derived the name Judith from Judas? Interesting, you think she's going to stir trouble for the season?-StarLover IP: Logged |
