Yep, they must have different writers this season, or something. It has lost a lot of its magic. But I'll keep watching, since I have seen its potential. If you get a chance to see the first season on DVD, give it a try. I feel like it'll pick up. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." It's wasting time, each episode should have different dramas unfolding, this isn't a sitcom where everything can be fixed up in twenty minutes. The characters have to be more interesting, and they have to be encountering serious problems. I mean the whole, "I have an alcholic mother," isn't cutting it. More drama, needs more WISDOM and MAGIC coming from god. I mean the writers can't be like, oh this episode we'll have Joan build a garden, and then the garden will be towed away. The end. -StarLover IP: Logged |

I was totally feelin' it, I knew he figured it was a waste of time! She was so awful, she was even getting on my nerves, and I thought I had a lot of patience and tolerance. Trump was right on. -StarLover IP: Logged |

Okay, I admit it, this episode of Joan was AWESOME! I like the way we got to see how seemingly small decisions can affect others. Everything tied together nicely.I also saw that Judith is attracted to Adam, but I still didn't believe it would go farther--until I saw next week's preview! Greetings...I have to agree with you both.. Joan is getting started a little slowly this year, but I do like the subtle way that God is trying to lead Joan to discover Free-Will, Consequences, and the "ripple-effect". These are hard concepts for many grow-ups to understand, let alone a high school student! I'm still loving the show and the characters. In terms of Adam and Joan.. I don't think Judith COULD steal Adam away.. she could TRY.. but I don't think Adam has any feelings for her. My impression is that the scene is a mis-understanding, and that Joan and the rest of us will be meant to mis-read the scenario. I might be wrong.... Sorry I haven't been online in a while. Been bnusy, busy, busy helping a friend finish her move. Then it was Samhain... hopefully things will be slowing down a bit!! Hope all is well, and happy Celtic New Year! In the Light... RAJ SHOULD'VE PICKED THREE PEOPLE TO THE BOARDROOM! If he had picked Jennifer to go with him to the boardroom, he would've been able to have Jennifer defend him, and he could've attacked Ivanna a little bit more! I had a secret crush on RAJ. Honestly, Ivanna should not be around anymore! -StarLover

Whoever he picked, Raj dug himself a hole, and he was going to get fired no matter what. Raj was my favorite, he had a lot of instinct mixed with reason. I like Andy now, but it's always the boring guys that make it in the end. I remember the last two finalists were sort of boring throughout the show, and then they showed themselves in the end.-StarLover IP: Logged |

Great episode of Joan. I tought it was funny that God asked Joan where the camera was. Wouldn't He know? What a wondeful last few moments. *sigh* ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Not sure what it was, but just some background info--Adam's mother committed suicide. Adam was one of Joan's first assignments from God--helping him to deal with the pain. Of course, God had bigger plans, and they fell in Love. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." His mother had written him a letter before she killed herself, and Adam refused to open it for years--until Joan convinced him to. Back then, they were just friends. Adam was going to leave school to be an artist, and he entered a project in the school contest that would have gotten him noticed. God told Joan not to let him win. So, Joan destroyed his work. Adam refused to speak to her for some time after that. But it was all part of a bigger plan. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Greetings...What an exciting few days... I've been sick, quit my new job, and am looking forward to bigger and better things... well, after I get better anyway! Loved Joan the other night, and I'm looking forward to next weeks episode. I kinda like that God doesn't always come across as Almighty... makes Him seem a little more human, as it were! Greetings...Well... Joan and Adam have their "first date", get all gussied up and go to some fancy looking restaurant... then something happens to Judith who ends up, predictably, in the hospital. At the scene of whatever it is that happens to her, Joan's father recognizes her as "Joan's friend"... cut to the hospital where Judith is saying that this time she actually wants to live... and then Joan, imploring God for His/Her help... Looks like it should be good! In the Light... A ------------------ "The ALL is MIND; the Universe is Mental." *** The Kybalion IP: Logged |
