Greetings...I have to admit that I was a wee bit tired when I actually watched Joan last night... I was out with friends most of the day and didn't watch Joan til about 10:30pm. Thank Goddess for TiVo. I'll have another look when I'm more awake! In the Light... A ------------------ "The ALL is MIND; the Universe is Mental." *** The Kybalion IP: Logged |

Aselzion and Randall, I don't know if I fully buy into that theory. I think there are events which are out of our control. There are events that were meant to happen even before we were born. I think the only time we use our Free Will Tinker Toys is when we REACT to a situation. All events are NEUTRAL, but it is the VALUE we place on it that makes it POSITIVE or NEGATIVE. I think I can only choose to be happy or sad, I can choose to learn or not to learn, and that can change my perspective which in turn MIGHT create a new set of events. Yet even then, I don't think we have total control because our Higher Selves know better than we do, and we haven't proven worthy to attain that level of being in charge. Even Linda believed what happened to her and Robert Brewer was predestined many eons before. Certain relationships are just meant to come into your life. You know? Afterall, if we're not in tune with our Higher Selves, then aren't we just puppets? I would say so! I don't think any of us have cut those strings yet. -StarLover IP: Logged |

I think our stories have already been written; however, like a play or a novel we can certainly change a few lines or scenes we may not like. In the end, I think it's still up to our Higher Selves. Afterall, we are our Higher Selves so we do control. I think Free Will and Destiny interchange with one another! -StarLover IP: Logged |

On a grander scale, do we not choose everything before each lifetime? Would not all of these previously agreed-upon Karmic ties and agreements still reflect our free-will on a superconscious level? And then we use our free-will tinker toys to mess everything up. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Greetings...Well said... both of you. I am of the opinion that we are all aspects of God, here in Physical Reality (or is it all that Real) to have experiences.. and to experience Who We Really Are. Are some things Fated? It would appear that way... but as we have mentioned before, the Free Will or Conscious Creation, is always above that "fated" level. If we change a small piece here, may we not change an entire timeline? Star.. you are wise for one so young in chronological age... keep thinking "outside the box" as it were and you will go a long way! Yes!! One thing that we CAN change is our reaction to events and relationships, this is true. Rather, TRUE! As Randall suggested, I believe that we agree to re-connect with certain people in each "lifetime" in order to accomplish some goal or to have some experience. I think it's kind of cool to "Realize" that we aren't in this mess alone, and that we have "friends" to count on. Even more fun sometimes is to raise above that thought and become aware that We Are All ONE. That sure can make the human brain dizzy! In the Light... Ivanna is the most creative person there. Jenn and Sandy were vicious, but could you have blamed Sandy? Andy will be sorely missed. Him and Raj, awww, why!?! Anyway Kelly will probably win.IP: Logged |

I didn't care much for this episode of Joan. I thought it lacked depth. God's comment on the different religions was good, though. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Star, did you see near the end when Andy was in the limousine saying that he couldn't believe he just got fired on national tv and that he will never get another job again? Then the limousine driver turned around and said, "Yes, you will." It was Raj. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Greetings...As to Joan (I can't comment on the Trump thing, never watch...) I thought, as always that the writers and ensemble took the Path of least resistence in the matter. How can God justify death to anyones satisfaction? I think that stating that there are way more questions than answers was heading in the right direction. And I think that some of the most poignant moments in this episode came in Graces speech apres bat mitvah, and in the Jewish lady (God's) words to Joan... "What if she had never lived at all?" And here I paraphrase badly, "What if knowing you gave her a few more good days than she ever thought she'd have?" Or words to that effect. We don't have the answers to death.. but maybe we aren't asking the right questions, as the Jewish lady God also pointed out to Joan. Have to admit.. it did manage to get me all misty eyed again. Maybe I'm just having a bad transit? In the Light... A ------------------ "The ALL is MIND; the Universe is Mental." *** The Kybalion IP: Logged |
