I have a story I can share. In the mid 70's I was living in California and I had been meditating for several years. I became interested in the paranormal and astrology at the age of 13...so I had been exposed to various things by that time. Anyway....I don't know if you've heard of Uri Geller--he made spoon bending famous. You might want to look for his books. There was a program on the radio that he was hosting...they had this eerie kind of music playing. He had the audience go into meditation. He said we could either try to bend a spoon or get a watch that had stopped to start ticking. It just so happened that I had a watch that stopped 2 weeks prior. So, I chose that exercise. He got to the end of this meditative exercise....and he said "OK, now BELIEVE that that spoon will bend....BELIEVE that that watch will tick." I held the watch in my hands and believed with all my might. And I swear to God this is true! The watch began to tick. It ran for 2 weeks after that....then it stopped again. There's a book "Positive Magic" by Marion Weinstein. I don't know if it is still in print. She makes a reference to Uri Geller and spoon bending. She has a spoon that he bent that she has always kept. Good luck to ya. Let us know how it goes.

My psyche really responds to music such as "The last Temptation of Christ." At first I thought it was really scary, but after listening, it seemed to give me an energy...IP: Logged |

Ahhhhhhh, we now have search. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |
