I recently did a reading for a very special friend of mine and the general theme was about a great loss of confidence and 'footing'- being in a very unstable place and seeking solace in the material world- not necessarily the best choice. Anyways, the 'outcome'- well I don't really think of it as outcome but more as general potential, in the distance, future, possibilities, etc.- was The Empress. It threw me off somehow- I don't know why. I know she represents the mother archetype. I just didn't understand how she went with the flow of the reading. The "other" card, however (I think of it as the mirror, the world, someone important to them) was Queen of Cups reversed- I feel there's a nurturing/mother thing between those two cards, just not sure. Ok, I would appreciate any help/thoughts. (I know it's a little hard out of context like this, I guess just people's thoughts and experiences with The Empress. I sort of have trouble with this card). Thank you!IP: Logged |

The Empress for me, represents love, marriage, and fertility. The achievement of womanhood to the world. Love and LightIP: Logged |

Whiterabbit, I had a thought, you said Queen of Cups reversed, she is a polarity, a paradox in Pandora's box. She is the opposite. She seems to be coming up everywhere...IP: Logged |
