When i have a specific question, he doesnt always answer right away, and while i have heard his voice once audibly, the rest of the time the answers i get from him come through other people, or from scriptures i may felt drawn to or any other way he choses to communicate with me. Its just a matter of having a open mind and heart to our creator.

Neale Donald Walsch wrote a trilogy of books that I feel every seker should have in their library called: Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue Books 1 - 3

In one of these, and I believe it is Book 1, God says: " I do not speak to only special people.. I talk to everyone, all the time. The question is not to whom do I talk, but rather, who listens?" That's a bad paraphrase, but I think it makes the point.

In these books, also, God frequently tells us that we are ALL God, so technically, anytime you speak to anyone.. you are conversing with God. Even when you are alone and looking in the mirror.

Try those books and see what you think.. they certainly made a connection for me.

And I note the first replies said "talk to", which ofcourse is totally different.

When learning to "listening" the hardest part is to discriminate.
Is it God who speaks? Or your own ego?
Or the make-believe devil ?

Or is it perhaps an awareness of the interaction of your right and left brains.

Before we can hope to communicate with anything non-material we must first integrate and understand the flow of communication bewteen our two brains.

When you can sign your name forward and backwards with both hands, you will be on the way......

I have no problem with your Mother / Father concept, as I am an ordained Essene Minister.

But maybe you demonstrate your lack of understanding that this symbolises the need for polarity integration of one's own mind.

For a moment consider WHY "your God" gave you two brains inside your skull.
And try using both of them !

All enlightened beings stand stable at the focal point of their mental see-saw.
Something which very few on these pages seem able to demonstrate.

But maybe you are right and all Spiritual disciplines are really a waste of time.

Many simple souls in LL occupy their energy and time in search for their mysterious twin soul, out there somewhere.

The Alchemical marriage is with yourself.
The resulting child is the one born again who may enter the Kingom of God.

Maybe, A possibility ? None of us should be so arrogant to think we personally know what is true or what is nonsense.

Even HPB who is often misquoted. Why not go to her teacher KH

It is so easy to write "nonsense" .
But unfortunately that usually implies that somebody just disagrees but does not know why.

And if you can not explain why, then you have not established your own case.
So "nonesense" itself becomes meaningless nonsense.

Also, I have found when speaking to God, to talk to him like he is your best friend in the whole wide world and your one and only friend. Open up your heart and soul and you will be surprised as to how His all consuming love will overcome you. It brings tears to my eyes to have that much love for me. Just writing this brings tears of joy.

One day when you are out looking at the Dogwood trees and know their meaning, God will talk to you.

Remember, Faith is like a mustard seed, it can move mountains.

Very moving and very topical with the material I have been studying recently in Occultism and Qabalah.
