I had a memory the other day, it was quite stunning...it was like something I'd known my whole life but had chosen not to think about it.When I was an infant I remember the beginnings of consciousness, I remember a few things from this time in my life…but here is something that I firmly believe is true. I remember my mother placing me back into the crib and saying, ‘mummy loves you.’ Then straight after that my infant self automatically thought, ‘Oh no I’ve died! I’ve been born again…I don’t want to live another life!’ I’ve recently begun my journey into the metaphysics and remembering and firmly believing this has helped me overcome a lot of negative thoughts that have obviously plagued me from that moment. I’ve always just wanted to die, but after I remembered that I decided that I’m alive for a reason so I may as well get on with it, finish my business and then calmly pass on to something a little more peaceful. Has anyone else ever experienced this in their lives? If so I’d LOVE to hear about it. Post and share! ------------------ No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted. IP: Logged |

------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

my memories in this life are often associated with food, and in past lives, are associated with trauma. the memories of my dreams are actually more interesting than anything in my (normal-aspected) life, and my mind considers those memories more importantIP: Logged |

Yes I always do. Some were very nice. Some bad. My father and a friend of mine so far are the only ones I have recognized while there.
There was one where I was murdered. Strangled. I didn't feel scared though.
My moms friend and her son tried that cd by brian weiss is it? Forgot. Anyways. my moms bought the cd and books I read them. The cd is great.
Anyways back to the point.
Her friend tried it with her son.
When it was over he was like oh my god mom! I was such a bad man! I murdered a woman in my past life!!!!!!!!!!
She stayed kind of like oh. Because when he began describing everything. She already knew he had seen the same thing as her. He had stabbed her to death.
They get along great in this life though.
Guess they worked out the karma or something.
I think he was just a theif who was brekaing into the house. Forgot.

That is amazing!!! I'd love to hear more about this CD and what it can do for you...I forget how exactly I came about remembering my life...I think it just dawned on me one day...After a while I remember more things...I know that I did something terribly wrong and caused a lot of people a lot of pain. I know that I died at sea. This is supported by the fact that when I was a little child I was terribly afraid of dieing at sea. Remembering more is a bit like remembering my childhood trauma, I have a very good ability at tuning out on things that I don't enjoy. Memories are one. I have barely any of this life and its amazing that I managed to rustle up this much of the last one twice. Does anybody have any idea how I could remember more?------------------ No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted. IP: Logged |

I know what you mean about wanting to die- this is a cruel world, seemingly full of injustice- which for those who like to think about stuff, is painful to realise. However, the spiritual path I have been on enables me to see things differently. Have you read 'Star Signs' & 'The Celestine Prophecy'?Past lives? Can't say for certain, but I did have these recurring dreams as a child...kept dreaming of things like searching for long lost siblings...emotions in the dream were pretty intense and when I awoke, I still couldn't shake them off. There was this really cool series over here in the UK a while ago called 'Have I Been Here Before?' in which famous people were hypnotised, then info given during the hypnosis was researched- on a few occasions stuff they found out was pretty uncanny Love & Moonlight IP: Logged |

There are techniques you can do, meditation and things. Google it =D. The thing is, the memory is in there, if you search hard enough, you can find it. Just think of things you feel like you have experienced, but you can't recall how. Then try meditating or the recall methods to try and make them stronger.IP: Logged |

I tried meditating on a past life. To do it, I focused on an emotion I often feel in this life, the cause of which I assumed had originated in a previous life. It worked, but the very brief experience was so emotionally dramatic for me that I was afraid to continue it. Should I not be afraid, or do you think guided meditation is wisest?IP: Logged |

This past weekend i had a very strange calm over me and I knew it was how one would feel upon deciding to commit suicide. Total releif from all pressures. I knew that I probably wasn't going to but i couldn't shake the feeling. Then later in the evening I realized that in another life I had committed suicide and people were mad at me for doing it. This explains why i always feel people are mad at me ( and if you knew this innocent virgo--nobody is ever really mad at me). It definatley helped me get over some present day hangups. It was weird but I have asked the universe to be able to come into oneness with all my past lives so I am at a point where i accept these weird memories or insights or whatever you want to call them.IP: Logged |

I had a flash of what I believe was the US Civil War time-around 1865?-i was running towards a river at night, behind me was a big fire (the plantation where I had lived being burned by the 'Yankees'! There were 'bluecoats' trying to chase me down, probably to rape and kill me- The clothes I had on were so detrimental to my running away-long skirt, petticoat-I am not sure but think I drowned in that river- Also, on board a pirate ship (!) that wrecked somehow, I am floating into the beach on some flotsam and can see some of my mates on shore, in fact I am almost saved when something comes out of the deep and drags me under to my death- There are more but what is all this death by drowning? My Mom says it is related to the Saturn placement in my chartIP: Logged |

I must say, I found all these responses very interesting, thanks to all for your insightful replys.tuxedo meow Your reply was interesting in particular. I always felt like as if I had drowned too, as a kid I was on a boat every weekend, and felt a strong connection with the sea but always felt an unescapable doom upon the ocean. Constance DeCure was a name I associated with my past life after I started to accept everything. And when I learnt about Lexigrams: DECEASE AT SEA although generally according to 'rules' the name has too many letters for any real truth to be made of it. IP: Logged |

Constance_Decour- Bodies of water always sort of 'call' me...it is as if the waters want me in and under. Crossing over them even by bridge used to be very, very hard for me. Yet I love to be by large bodies of water...sometimes when in them swimming or splashing around, I am overcome with an almost terror and must get out onto the shore.IP: Logged |

more to pertain to original question in post. I remember being around my parents before I was born and seeing their wedding! I remember being an infant and being put out on my Gramma's enclosed back porch to sleep in a bassinet. I didn't want to be out there alone and remember my mom saying I was a good baby and wouldn't mind it and me thinking "Well, they think I will be good so I will try to be good as they see it. Maybe they will give me more attention if I am cooperative and please them by being quiet." They did not, yet I scarcely spoke or made noise as a child thinking it would please them. I remember doing a great deal of astral traveling even as an infant and also remember an Indian Spirit dancing for me. His name was something like Rabo sounding like rainbow.IP: Logged |
