a friend once did this little thing where she somehow found out "my card" by calculating the numbers from my birthday plus the numbers that go with the letters of my name or something and eventually arrived at the high priestess... anyone know what im talking about?------------------ Cancer Sun/Leo Moon/Leo Rising/Sun and Moon in 12th House. Yes.....I learned that if you add up the numbers to yer birthdate and then reduce them down, it works that way.... I got 8...strength....and I am....strong !!! My son is also 8 and my hubbie is 4, the Emperor, and that certainly fits him...!! How did you come to get the high priestess, is this yer name or birthdate. IP: Logged |

Yes the birthdate adds up to three...but it would be the Empress in the tarot....the High Priestess is two!!Are you a cancer female...if so this would figure as cancer woman are known for being nurterers, the mother! Hope this helps!!

I thought for 12 it would also be The Hanged Man before you reduce it to 3 for The Empress, no? ....sign....I tend to complicate things these days.IP: Logged |

Well, using your calculation I got the pope. Errr, I don't wanna be the pope...waaaaaah. *edit*Venusian Love, you are The Hermit Ok, I changed my mind about the Pope......he's the wise guy in the Tarot. But I'll stick to The Queen of Cups or The High Priestess for now. (I switch them depending on what mood I'm in)
On another note, my boyfriend is Force. I love it on him. My sister is The Chariot. IP: Logged |

KamillaYes girl I think you are right...so you would be the Hanged Man? I suppose you only reduce it down to the single digit when you get past 20...would you agree....? x IP: Logged |

SueIt would definitely make sense because otherwise half of the Major Arcana will be missing. But then I looked it up in Anthony Louis book and he uses different approach. Actually I think it goes alone the line with Linda's numerology. I thought I post it in case someone is interested. Also, he suggests calculating personal year number as well as birth number, day + month + year) replacing the birth year with the current year. 1 - The Magician (I), The Wheel of Fortune (X), The Sun (XIX). Astrologically associated with Sun 2 - The High Priestess (II), Justice (XI), Judgement (XX). Moon 3 - The Empress (III), The Hanged Man (XII), The World (XXI). Jupiter 4 - The Emperor (IV), Death (XIII). Uranus 5 - Hierophant (V), Temperance (XIV). Mercury 6 - The Lovers (VI), The Devil (XV). Venus 7 - The Chariot (VII), The Tower (XVI). Neptune 8 - Strength (VIII), The Star (XVII). Saturn 9 - The Hermit (IX), The Moon ( XVIII). Mars 11 - The Justice (XI)(Although in some decks card 11 is Strength). Pluto 22 - The Fool (0) My birth numer is 5. Not my favorite, but , I guess, it does makes sense with Hierophant's teaching/learning stuff and my Sun in Sagittarius, Temperance and Moon in Libra. Mercury is prominent in my chart too.

Hmmm I don't want to argue, but I'm not sure about those associations. The devil is traditionally associated with saturn. The star with uranus, and shouldn't the moon be associated with the moon? IP: Logged |

July 15, 1988.7/15/1988 7+1=8 8+5= 13, 1+3=4 4+1=5+9=14, 1+4=5, 5+8=13, 1+3=4 4+8=12, 1+2=3 Your numerological number is 3. 3 is associated with jupiter/sagittarius. Three is traditionally associated with the world, which represents culimination, satisfcation, accomplishment, spiritual perspective. I'd say you're probably a very generous and caring young woman. Yes but you can't have a 20 in numerology. The sources I've read associate 3 with the world, but the empress probably works too. I see the empress as more earthy though, as more of a taurus type.IP: Logged |

Well, this is an old but interesting thread...the way I learned it is not to break it down until 23 which would be 2 Plus 3 or 5. I am #1- The Magician and it is very fitting. New beginnings, RE creating ones-elf again and again, focus on future & finance in mature years. My life has been a series of "Pick yourself up; brush yourself off; and start all over again" Altho including The Sun and The wheel of Fortune fits well. We cannot leave off half the Major cards! i also like relating to all the ACES of course! i want to hear more opinions on this-IP: Logged |

This is interesting... I always get hung up on the whole 11,22,etc thing. I was born on the 22nd of May so, would the rule apply for doing this calculation? I guess, now that I have thought a bit more about it, ... if there is no 20, then there probably is no 22 Ok, so I guess I'd be a 5...Hierophant, Temperance... hmm,... Mercury would fit my Gemini Sun too. ~ geminstone IP: Logged |
