I did a reading for myself yesterday while my mind was in utter turmoil. I've never felt so jumbled inside while attempting to draw cards. But I decided to do a spread anyway, and I felt really terrible about the reading. It's something I was dreading and expecting. If I'm guessing what the result is, does that affect the reading? But ever since then, I've been pulling cards for other people that don't make sense or apply. In the past I've been pretty spot on. My confidence is completely gone. What to do? Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciated. IP: Logged |

Do not worry. It's just a bad period, I really believe you should wait for another moment.IP: Logged |

Thank you for your responses. I just realized today that I am pretty sick, so maybe that's why? Anyway, I'll put the cards away for a while. Thanks again IP: Logged |

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm attempting a reading for another person after a year of not "getting it". I pretty much know why readings started to go sour for me, and I'm hoping with this stressful year finally behind me that I've got my groove back. IP: Logged |

I'm going to be completely honest. I have no idea how to handle a deck of tarot cards but I have a hunch that if you find an optimistic attitude, create a sort of balance(meditation) within yourself, and radiate hunks of confidence, everything will be fine again! ^-^ IP: Logged |

Sometimes there can be a block on the Reader's side, but it can also be the Querant. <<<Did I spell that right?------------------ "To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing." Aristotle IP: Logged |

It may help to sit a clear quartz on top of your cards, and focus on your dreams for the time being. See if you can garner any messages from your dreams, keep a diary for a couple of weeks, when you have an ah-ha moment, which you likely will if you pay attention, go back to the cards, and reaquaint yourself, not necessarily by reading, but just by touching, holding, appreciating their art -- try to resist interpretation until you feel the bond strengthen.IP: Logged |

R, I think it's "querent"...I find taking a break from the cards until I'm drawn back to them, helps.. Hope you're feeling better! Sunshine IP: Logged |

Applegreen,Also, in my (limited) experience, being too attached to the outcome of the reading can affect the cards you draw. I do horary as well, and I think the same rules apply - when you are feeling relatively calm and detached from the outcome, ready to hear the answer whatever it may be, might be the best time to try reading. Alternately, you may want to have someone else read for you.. Suggesting, Sunshine IP: Logged |
