Are there any tarot decks you would recommend?I am looking for a new one, but those I saw on Aclectic did not speak to me. IP: Logged |

I have the Tarot of the Renaissance. It's beautiful and I think I feel it but...there are a few cards in this deck which are supposed to have a meaning different to the one they have in RW so their pictures are not too helpful. Anyway, good luck!If you're interested I could share with you my wishlist and maybe something would catch your eye. ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

I'm at Barnes and Noble right now. See lots of neat decks: Zombie Tarot, Druid Animal, Steampunk, Animal Wisdom, Vampyres, and Law of Attraction!IP: Logged |

I bought the Tarot of the Vampyres deck, and I've been very pleased with it. I end up using it as much or more than my Rider-Waite deck. Beautiful deck, if you like that type of thing. ------------------ Virgo Sun/Aries Moon/Libra Mercury/Scorpio Venus/Taurus Mars/Virgo ASC IP: Logged |

Oh I gladly would have a look! My problem is that there are some decks I find quite beautiful, but then ther eis always some cards that feel "off" to me. As of now, I have the lover`s tarot; I find the majors beautiful, but cannot do anything with the minor arcanes, because there is no real imagery coming with them. I also have the "Sacred circle" tarot (or something like that). Have been working quite for some time with it. Latly i also tried the "Quest tarot", and it works fine for most part, but it is somehow too "detached" and futuristic for me. For some reason I feel I want more of an earthy tarot. I donīt even know if that makes sense. lol I find the legacy beautiful as far as I have seen it, but maybe it is too much. I donīt know. Interestingly I bought the Dark fairytale tarot a while ago; I never thought I would really work with it, but it turned out to be one of my absolutey favourites. But recently it feels a little too dark for my lighter moods.
Can you believe it, I donīt even posess a RWS-deck. I have the Crowley one, but am not working with it. And actually I also have an Egyptian one and the Decameron-tarot. But the last one, well, not really my cup of tea, and doesn`t feel like tarot to me. IP: Logged |

Beautiful decks, yes, like the darkish ones, but somehow the resonance inside is more of a superficial aesthetical one - for me.IP: Logged |

The Victorian Romantic Tarot The Bohemian Gothic Tarot The Druid Craft Tarot The Tarot of Vampyres The Gothic Tarot of Vampires The Tarot of Atlantis The Shaman Tarot quote: As of now, I have the lover`s tarot; I find the majors beautiful, but cannot do anything with the minor arcanes, because there is no real imagery coming with them.
I would never buy a deck without illustrated minor arcana even if I was advanced. ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

I didn`t know it was without illustrated minor arcana. I find non-illustrated decks rather useless for me. I will check out your recommendations. Thanks. Funnily today I seem to connect quite well with my Quest-tarot again. It is strange sometimes there are Quest-days, and on other days, it will not speak. IP: Logged |

I settled on the Tarot de Paris (and the Witches tarot). http://www.tarotpassages.com/images3/ParisIX.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dKXyg-26V3Q/TwWdQ-rUKLI/AAAAAAAAGWw/KfdWBg0mAEE/s1600/Tarot+de+Paris+2+of+Coins+001.jpg http://www.lelandra.com/comptarot/comptarot/paris5cups.jpg Of course I will only know if they really resonate when I touch the cards
