And it ****** me off! I think mostly because in my last relationship it indicated that I was the giver and basically a doormat. I am hoping in my current case(s) that's not what it means but...ehhhh. So I'm looking for complete opinion on this card (physical, emotional, mental) good and bad as to what it could indicate for how a romantic interest sees you. I will be putting a lot of the opinions in my notes and looking at the outcomes (coming back here) as time passes. Thank you for your responses!IP: Logged |

trad question: which deck? I am going to post a lil bit of classical RWS associations considered helpful
In the first place, if we take note of what is going on, it becomes evident she is holding her treasure and is in the process of contemplating it. She is not searching anywhere beyond herself, her expression is calm and content. This card is considered an "it's all there" card. Queen of Cups is similar, but she contemplates her soul/passions, whilst this one has a certain share of the material/tangible world that makes her secure and content. I would not reduce this to money, even though reductionistic interps stand every chance of exasperating any person who has been told QoP sums up their personality. The rabbit is the symbol of maternity/fertility, not only an indication of a good mother, but also someone protective. Some more obviousness: a practical approach to life (as in capricorn), which doesn't by any means belittle the feminine potential and the talent for love/family life this Queen is blessed with. Plus a quote from the classical classic, book T quote:
A WOMAN of beautiful face with dark hair; seated upon a throne, beneath which is dark sandy earth. One side of her face is light, the other dark; and her symbolism is best represented in profile. Her attire is similar to that of the Queen of Wands: but she bears a winged goat's head as a crest. A goat is by her side. In one hand she bears a sceptre surmounted by a cube, and in the other an orb of gold. She is impetuous, kind; timid, rather charming; great-hearted; intelligent, melancholy; truthful, yet of many moods. If ill dignified she is undecided, capricious, changeable, foolish. She rules from 20 Degree Sagittarius to 20 Degree Capricorn.
and Crowley, to be taken with a massive pinch of salt (I disagree about limited intellect and alcohol, disagree about lustful and debauched too). I only read him in the hope he might have retold something classical golden dawn works don't contain but he pinched from GD for the pleasure of everyone. quote:
Persons signified by this card possess the finest of the quieter qualities. They are ambitious, but only in useful directions. They possess immense funds of affection, kindness, and greatness of heart. They are not intellectual, and not particularly intelligent; but instinct and intuition are more than adequate for their needs. These people are quiet, hard-working, practical, sensible, domesticated, often (in a reticent and unassuming fashion) lustful and even debauched. They are inclined to the abuse of alcohol and of drugs. It is as if they could only realize their essential happiness by getting outside themselves.

Lol. None of the Queens are bad to get. There's good and bad traits to humans and Courts represent people, so.. Queen of Pentacles made me think they appreciate you and your value. Men see you as useful, someone with a lot of common sense. IP: Logged | |
