that is the dress btw

I am just so unsure as to what really suits me, cause in a way I have to get to know myself (or my shape) from a new.

Anyway was asking how I would look in it and if it would suit me.

Queen of Swords - Devil - 8 of swords

I used the RWS deck so of course the image of the 8 of swords made me laugh a little, seeing that the dress is a little, "shaping"

Altough I like the image of the dress, this feels highly uncomfortable for you. Like the single queen just seems to think to herself all the time: "I'm portraying my sexuality here" (yet don't feel it, I'm the queen of swords & not sure I want to flaunt my goods actually & doesn't it scream 'desperate'?)
Not saying that it is like that, but wearing the dress does not feel like a nice thing, creating an overly awareness. So I would just leave it in the closet

that was interesting.

I put the dress on (and no, much much much too bright for my taste, like flashing a neon-light and too long, too) to have it worn at least once, before burying it in my wardrobe, and my Dad was actually taking a picture of it, though this as well will get buried deep

My mom wholeheartedly hated it, and my dad loved it. LOL

Yeah, definitely too flashy and neon-sign-like for me to wear, though I like the upper half of the dress.

The 10 says yes as do the 6 (comforting/happy) but the 5 I'm thinking is speaking of money issues? For me this card always represents faith, it sucks now, but have faith that things will get better.

What do you guys think?

Remember these shoes? Well I'm kinda regretting keeping these now. I may just keep them in my closet somewhere but not for daily use as they've quickly fallen apart on me. The lining on the bottom of the shoe has already unglued and it's made of this plasticy kind of material that makes my feet smell, and makes my feet black for some reason. It's really annoying. I'm very disapointed with these. It's made me think of the 5 of discs to mean "hanging by a string" and possibly something that needs to go.

The happy but poor shoes? I remember. That s&cks! Maybe the 5 refers to the shoeless people in the cards instead of the money. Don't understand the other 2 cards then though.
Can't you go back to the store & complain. It's ridiculous that they are already falling apart.
I have done that when really expensive clothing doesn't pan out like their reputation.

LC,

that is really a shame!
Shoes should have a better quality, but yes I think that confirms the meaning of 5 of pentacles as "lack"; but really you should complain about that, maybe you can exchange them for other shoes or getting at least part of the money back.

Remember the awful dress? (to be honest I don`t think it is really that awful anymore, just does not suit me as a dress, too long, pretty much overkill. lol)

Anyway I just came back from the tailor and she will cut it to tunic-lenght, and I was wearing slim black trousers when she was making her marks on the dress (where she cut it) and it already looked so much better. And yes it is orange, so what? lol

So coming home I was pulling some cards as to what impression I will make wearing this one.

8 of wands - 2 of wands - lovers

I think that might have been the better choice.

so I have to make a choice now if I am going to wear the pink blouse or the red tunic to the open air on saturday.

pink blouse:
7 of cups - Wheel of Fortune - 9 of swords

red tunic:
chariot - 7 of wands - 8 of wands

What would you pick?

What kind of look are you going for?

Looks like the pink one may be a bit sexier, and the red tunic will give you a sort of take charge attitude.

I am actually undecided. lol

What makes you say the first one would be sexier? Why do you think that?

The idealism of the 7 of cups. The fantasy indicated. The wheel could be that while you like it it may in fact be a choice you regret, that maybe others would find it inappropriate. The head in the hands indicated by the 9 could be an anxiety moment of "oh no why did I wear this!?" It could be the reaction of others as well.

Yes, the red one.
Doesn't the pink one look like someone will spill drinks on you? Lol, sorry, that was one of my first thoughts with these cards.
But with the chariot they see you coming.

^agree.

It's like two 7s = 8
So your willpower in this case is successful. (Also forgot to say that I don't know what an open air is) If you feel more confident and comfortable in the red tunic that's also likely to shine through. Both the chariot and 7 of wands show a struggle of opposing forces, sometimes forces within ourselves, the 8 of wands shows the shining through after that struggle or competition.

Ah an open air is a concert that is taking place on a stage outside. In this case near to a castle, in the form of an amphitheatre (the visitors are actually looking DOWN on stage - well I will, cause I intend to stand in the background. lol), surrounded by trees, and hopefully blue sky.

Yeah I suppose the red one it is going to be.

thanks

That was an interesting take on the 7`s becoming the 8. Yes, I can see that.

I have now decided what to wear, the red tunic okay, with a leggins with leather-look. Which is a total different style for me. But I kinda like the thought for going for something quite different than the usual.

Anyway so I was asking if the guy might like or hate this outfit on me, got

3 of cups - Page of wands - 2 of wands

So I suppose he wouldn`t hate it too much.
(not that this really would have swayed my opinion; I think I am looking quite good in it, different or not lol)

Leather look sounds great. Looks like it's concerns bold, daring & fun. They can see you from afar.

May I send you an e-mail with some (short) Jupiter questions, Ceri?

yes of course, send it.

And this is the trousers I was speaking of (of course my legs are still more chubby than this).

As my mom put it politely, it is a matter of taste and liking (she wouldn´t wear it. lol), but also said that even though it would not be her preference, it is suitable.

And personally I like it. Sure it is very different, but it is that kind of style that feels like pushing my comfort zone a bit, but not so much to make me feel uncomfortable. Well, we will see. lol

Gosh, who cares if she's wearing red or pink, when she does the pose?!

Shoes (heels, I assume you'd find the kitten heel cool enough, 5-7cm) upgrade any look. And especially those pants. And never listen to the mothers; when they look at you they are positively 3 decades behind the present moment - it's a professional flaw, with them.

And, if I may, Ceridwen - embrace the contrast (you fair, dark hair + brightly coloured outfits) and the more hugging clothes : let the curves indulge in well tailored stuff, just like the slim lines love the flowing seam.

That Cups and Page sound like "let's dance the night away.

Venus,

"hen she does the pose?! "
What pose?
The one on the pic? lol I thought it was rather, well a bit of a failed pose.

"Shoes (heels, I assume you'd find the kitten heel cool enough, 5-7cm) upgrade any look. "
You are right I just can`t walk on heels. AS a matter of fact the heels of my boots ((4,5 cm) is the highest I have ever worn. But I was surprised that it was very manageable and feels kinda good.
Those cheap shoes, well my feet will be hurting after 3-4 hours of standing in them, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right?
And I do not want to line up 2 hours before for a run on crappy seats, so I option for standing in the background, at the top of the stairs, as I have done some years before. Gives me space and freedom to move (and to get something to drink during it) too.

" embrace the contrast (you fair, dark hair + brightly coloured outfits) and the more hugging clothes :"
I will do so. So probably that is the tightest I have ever worn. But it doesn`t feel too tight, if yuo know what I mean.

"
That Cups and Page sound like "let's dance the night away. "
It sounded like fun at least. Maybe no dancing away, but fun is to be had. I demand it!

Funny, I was talking to my mom the other day, and she was mentioning my fear of relationships and my social withdrawel again, even mentioning that the "fear of the 4 year old who does not want to be married" still raising its head (yeah, well apparently a cute little blonde boy was telling my mom at that age, that he was going to marry me, and I was panick-stricken, making sure with my Mom that I "do not have to" get married. lol).

Well, we talked about this and that, and at some point I exclaimed that I just wanted to have some fun now.
Which is such a weird talk to have. A weird thing to say - at least my age.
I mean I am not 20, I am nearing 40. But I can`t even remember how it was having "fun". I was always in some exams as it feels now, or preparing for exams, or doing other stuff that had nothing to do with meeting people, especially those I did not know.

But that is just how it feels right now, very 3 of cups like. I just wanna have fun and enjoy this weekend. That`s all.

No promnises, no oathes, no plans, just plain old innocent enjoying music, athmosphere and entertainment.

Sounds like a good plan?

Yeah, I think so.

My daily spread (I always do one before going to concerts. lol)

Lovers - 7 of swords - Page of Pentacles

Theme card/ summary: 10 of pentacles

BTW I find the Page of Pentacles rather fitting, he is so enarmoured/ taken with his coin.Though it seems strange to think that way about pentacles, to me this card is about admiration/appreciation, maybe even a little crush (though more understated like the exaggerating Page of Cups). But it always makes me smile if he appears in a spread. I can see that, yes, I hopefully will find something to appreciate and admire this evening.

Of course I could have done without the 7 of swords in the spread lol. Gotta watch my purse, I suppose.
