There are some cards that I seem to draw often, and the 5 of Pentacles is one of them. I thought I understood this card, but I think when it comes up as action/advice in a relationship reading, it's not always clear to me. The questions have been spaced out, but all about the same person/relationship. I want to gently reinitiate contact with this person, but my ego is getting in the way (meaning I think the ball should be in his court, and I'm not sure if he's open to it yet). Any idea what this card is trying to tell me? Thanks. 1. What are his intentions with me? 5 of Pents 2. What outcome can I expect if I do contact him? 5 of Pents (Justice if I dont') 3. What can be done to get this relationship off the ground? 5 of Pents 4. What can I do to bring about and encourage a positive reconnection between he and I? 5 of Pents

Thank you, Twirl….for both your insight and compassion. Sorry for the delayed response, I didn’t anticipate being away from this thread for so long. Yes, I agree with you, as this does seem to be what has happened in our situation. Shortly after posting this thread, I did set aside my pride and “gently” reinitiated contact with an email, but he hasn’t responded, and I don’t expect he will. Actually, I believe the cards have tried several times to let me know that he is sorry (5 of Cups), but that doesn’t change the way things are now. I don’t know that I will give up all hope of some type of reconnection, but I have to let go for now….I just can’t carry it any longer. Ash20, unfortunately, I think it does in this situation. However, I don’t always see the 5 of Pents as meaning someone intends to leave you behind. I think it depends on the spread or the question being asked. I don’t always view it as a negative card. The RWS version, I think, could mean many things. Maybe two people out in the cold TOGETHER, or just hard times in general, but with a light at the end of the tunnel feel. I think it really just depends. How do you view this card? How do other people see it?

Hey Karmic soulI used to pull this card often to a specific person. I thought ( and interpreted it) as someone who wants to leave, at that time. It was nothing of the sort. BUT the person was going through some very tough times emotionally. Just wanted to share this with you. IP: Logged |

Sorry he didn't respond With the 5 cups I would expect him to feel sorry, yes. Perhaps that is of done comfort to you.
I often see it as regret, but no action coming from it. It's kind of like: 'love isn't enough after all'-feeling & deciding to leave that in the past. IP: Logged | |
