I was able to get a fill-in position at a place I used to work at. It's ok, not much extra cash but still better than just the one job.Asked how my boss felt about me being back and working with me again Queen of Cups- 5 of rods- 10 of cups Not sure about the 5...perhaps a competition for her affection amongst the other employees? I like the look of the 10, family environment in the work place which is always nice. So then asked what was the chance I could move up in the latter, possibly bartend, Queen of Swords- 7 of swords- King of Cups Really unsure about that one. Any ideas? IP: Logged |

First one looks good. I think the five is showing you being able to work with 'struggle' and/of hectic environment. I'm not sure about the 2nd. Possibly part-time bar tending, but my first impression is that's not your bosses intention. The king of cups I can see as a bartender though. But with the queen I can see that's she's likely wanting someone else for that position. IP: Logged |

I would only be available as a part-time bartender but I started wondering (after your input) if I manage to somehow sell enough drinks to make her want to keep me as a waitress...just a thought. I'm just hoping that I can work up to the bartending in a couple of months or so, even part time, the experience would be good. IP: Logged |

Finding good waitresses is more difficult then finding a good bartender. Waitressing asks for more. Or so that's my experiences (been working in bar tending & waitressing a big chunk of my life). IP: Logged |

Asks for more as in money? Or asked more of the person? This place is easy since it's just drinks, no food. Waitressing when there's food involved, I'm not great at. Ive done it a couple of times and I hated it. Even sometimes serving drinks was really exhausting. Bartending is easier and possibly more money, partly why I want to get into it. Also because I want to at least feel like I'm moving up the ladder. I feel so stuck and it's frustrating. IP: Logged |
