I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me decipher these two cards too, or at least let me know if I'm interpreting this combination correctly? For the question, "what can I expect from my relationship with 'x' long-term?".. I pulled two cards: 8 of swords and then Ace of Pentacles. My initial thought was that there would be rough times, and that the querent could feel victimized somehow.. but that things would certainly get better and lead to a more solid commitment (like an engagement, marriage, or perhaps even moving in together.. a tangible symbol of commitment). I know if the order were reversed, it could indicate the relationship not living up to the querent's expectations.. but since the bad card comes first, I'm more inclined to say something like "it will be/seem bad in the beginning stages, but will eventually go in a more positive direction". Any thoughts on this combination in a love reading? Did I interpret this right in at all? IP: Logged |

Right after posting this, I pulled two more cards to get a more in depth answer.. I pulled Ace of Cups and 6 of Pentacles, so I'm more inclined to say that it will be positive in spite of rocky beginnings. I'm still interested in getting feedback if anyone is interested, if for nothing else than learning more about card combinations. Thanks!IP: Logged |

Hey Kay, With the 8 & the ace I do feel you are ready to give this relationship a chance. Ace is not that much moving in together here in my opinion. Nor has the situation been stabilised yet. It's a switch into seeing some kind of (re)newed potential in it. One party seems to be very (or: more) fond of the other, which still leads to some kind of understanding/commitment between you two. ------------------

Thanks for posting your opinion, Twirl! I can see why you say not moving in together.. I was just tryin to tie it to the suit of pentacles, as I've always read it has to do with material/something concrete (also, I think I saw that specific meaning on a website somewhere before). I like your interpretation though. Yours is more clear and to the point IMO.. hopefully I'll get better if I keep practicing on others as opposed to practicing on myself. Reading objectively for myself can be a bit challenging.. But it's good to know this board is here to help! IP: Logged |
