10 of Cups + 8 of Swords

What I've discovered with 10 of Cups is that our happiness and the impressions of our own happiness teeter on a very line and often shows the vague shapes of the happiness, rather than experience of happiness. As if the 10 of those cups are too much, brimming, overflowing with emotions and your sensory receptors start mixing the signals.

Given the following card, I am inclined to think that at some point he is "Oh, I should contact her, it'd be sweet & perfect" but there's something in that urge that he doesn't quite get, and it prevents - restricts him from following through his wish. He's sabotaging himself and it stems from his emotional confusion.

However, if I am to derive one meaning from these 2 cards, it would be guilt.

Your friend misses you and feels the loss of you from her life...she does however have a fated philosophy as in *what will be will be*. Did you try and rekindle the r.ship before i wonder? I am not sure if it will be mended anytime soon, but there is definitely sadness on her part. The middle card is similar to 5cups (sadness and maybe looking back with regret). I feel with this reading your friend swings between feeling loss and thinking it was meant to be

She's a Sag, with Scorpio Venus, so she has that type of outlook in her, yes.

I feel similar. I haven't seen her in many years. Actually, I just left. No rekindling attempts either.
