Am not sure if she could be a "real" friend or not, so it fits. As for the Scythe, I usually prefer to see her far far away from the Heart in ANY spread (unless I was masochistic or sadistic and wishing for heartbreak and possible break-up or painful separation-scenarios). Similiarly I like to see the Mountain and the Tower far away from the heart as well. Anyway, I did a line of 5 for me, as I was curious about a guy, and just, semi jokingly, asking the cards about his "role" in my life. I mean why has he come into my life (though his role will be just a fleeting moment, a snapshot of a certain time-quality).
Well I pulled
Star - Storks - Flowers - house - Woman I share this, cause I thought it was just such a nice looking spread. I hardly get these with "serious" questions.
Maybe the why of his crossing my path is just this pleasant nicety symbolized in the flowers. A break from any kind of emotional severity that I apparently needed.
Have you been spending a lot of time at home? That's what jumped at me woman + house - and he came to your life to give you some excitement (stars + stork + bouquet ) - something new as your life was a bit stagnant maybe? IP: Logged |

I pulled three cards for tomorrow’s energies. I got Heart-Birch Rod-Mouse. I think this could manifest in two levels. One is health related, the other one is relationship related. Health-wise, there could be tension in the heart which will cause anxiety, stress and worry. I hope it’s not anything serious. According to Iris Treppner, when the Mouse comes next to a negative card it cancels out the negativity, so with this, Birch Rod-Mice mean the diminishing of tension in the heart and everything is getting back to normal there. Relationship-wise, there could be tension, conflict, strife in the relationship which will cause much stress and worry. This could happen with any close relationship, because there is no card to suggest this is about my partner. Any other thoughts? IP: Logged |

Well I had been rather tied up with my homelife and responsibilities at work, but that week I had scheduled two short trips nevertheless. and yes, he brought some excitement, you are right about that. But actually just as a katalyst, someone else was involved, and he was more or less acting as "messenger". IP: Logged |

what is dice?Anyway, with the scythe, coffin and ring together, are you thinking about quitting your job? Or if not maybe some decisive action will be necessary to put an end to something within the job, that did not quite work out? The clover is also part of the spread, so it might be still a bit of luck or positivity in it. IP: Logged |

since my fortunately really long summer holidays will start next saturday, I was pulling 2 cards for each week of the holidays (thought the last one is already mixed into work again).1st week: flowers - sun 2nd week: Storks - tree 3rd week: heart - fish 4th week: scythe - Moon 5th week: birds - mice 6th week: Ring - cross I think I very much prefer the first three weeks, the last ones seem not so nice.
I am not so sure about sythe/Moon. Also I am going to be on a concert just on the beginning of that week. Hmm maybe I will be doing a line of 5 on that particular date. IP: Logged |

Whip and flowers. ( sexy dancing ) but you will have a good time. Fish - mice and ship made me think that it might just be there will be an abundance of people who all try to leave at once when concert is over. Because the ship is at the end it is traveling away from the situation. One other thing that came to mind ... Whip argument flowers - friends ( have to check that one ) Fish - drinking Mice - problems Ship -car So a friend might drink to much and want to drive but you say no way . IP: Logged |

Yes, it happened. A very minor one though, and the stress didn't last more than 10 minutes. IP: Logged |

Another three cards for tomorrow: the Ship-Cloverleaf-Crossroads.Hmm, this one puzzles me as I know that there’s no possibility of a distant journey for me in the near future, because today Summer term has started and I have a class on Wednesday. It will last 8 weeks. So it can’t be about a journey, and I think additional meanings of the Ship card has to apply here. Any ideas? IP: Logged |

Vesta, your first interpretation resonates. Makes ssense, yes. I probably will be in a hurry, too; actually I will have to preorder a cab, but am not entirely sure when the concert will be ending exactly. Might make for some stress and anxiety. As for the other interpretaion, well I am going on my own, so it is unlikely I will get in an argument with friends about drinking.
Can flowers symbolize friends? I always thought that was either the dog (close friends) or sometimes the garden, if you are just gathering with people. IP: Logged |

Well, the day has passed and I have no clue about this spread (same as yesterday) - there wasn't much luck but I guess I had a lucky break I was a bit more free in the morning and then in the afternoon work piled up like crazy - maybe that's the scythe + coffin combination .. Before going to work this morning I asked again and again got scythe and coffin in the mix.. hmmm Not sure why the cards were so dramatic with scythe + coffin - I was worried there might be an accident or something... And I just looked at my spread for last week, it also had scythe and coffin, maybe it's because I'm so exhausted... IP: Logged |

Ceri,
I looked it up and the flowers can represent a gift like offering help / assistance. Also they are a symbol of friendship. I am not so sure about it representing actual friends. I agree with you on that. That is why I needed to check on that card. IP: Logged |

Well I thought the flowers represent a friendly gesture, like a gift or showing one`s appreciation, but not necessarily friends.Could well be a nice offer though. We will see.

Star,no clue about scythe and the coffin. It looks so final to me. like an ending or termination of something. Do you have a certain dateline to keep? IP: Logged |

Ceri, that is the book I have I like it very much. I have it on kindle It helps with understanding the cards, she uses examples from her own life experiences so you can see how they play out. And breaks things down Into catagories for each card. It is a great book I think you will be very happy with the purchase. IP: Logged |

Star2013, Was there a dangerous situation in the last weeks prior to the Scythe-Coffin combination started showing up in your spreads? Something that is still making you feel on a knife-edge (the Scythe). I’m asking because maybe the cards are trying to tell you that the danger has ended and that now you can relax. Here I’m reading B as a descriptive adjective modifying noun A. IP: Logged |
