I has a similar spread (man - x - woman) for one of the days last week - turned out very uneventful I think I was thinking about a relationship a lot maybe that day.. .

I asked the cards if a certain person will get in touch with me today and got
Mice + Flowers + Ship

I really thought the answer is yes - sure I'll worry at first but with the flower seems like a yes - ship well he lives in a different state ...

Cheating from PL sheet, it could mean certain success of a wish or a plan (the Key) of you (Woman) about/with a man. What do you say?

Recently, I’ve been reading Grimm’s Fairy Tales, the REAL one where some stories have not so happy endings. At first, I got interested in reading it because of the TV show Grimm, but now as I read it, I realize how much some of the story titles resemble to emblems of Lenormand cards and how those corresponding stories can give insight into the symbols of cards. I don’t know if you’ve read it before, but if you haven’t, I highly recommend it.

In the book, there’s a very short story titled “The Golden Key”. Briefly, it tells the story of a poor boy, who is forced in the winter time to go out and fetch wood by his parents. This part of the story speaks of a difficult time and a challenging activity.

Almost always, after fetching wood, gathering them together and packing, the boy goes directly to home, but this time for once he chooses to light a fire and warm himself a little before going home. Now, what does this part of the story tell us? He’s trying something different and going “out of usual”.

Continuing with the story, to prepare the fire place he scraps away the snow on the ground, and there he finds a golden key and an iron chest. He feels that there are precious things in the box. From this part of the story, we can understand that after changing something about a situation, a new opportunity to surpass difficulties presents itself.

In the last portion of the story, the boy searches for a key hole and can’t find it instantly. After some time, he discovers a very small, hardly visible hole and tries to fit the key in it, then he turns it once round and the box opens. Here, to me, it says seeing this new opportunity may not be easy. It’s not very visible at first and may even be valid for a short duration. So, if you see it, act quickly!

To sum up, the Key card in Lenormand, in the light of this story, may mean; in times of difficulty if we try a new approach, go out of our comfort zones, change our usual ways of operating, a new opportunity to solve our current problems may present itself. And once this opportunity is recognized, we must act quickly before it vanishes.

News of a journey will be met with obstacles.

Here is what happened today: when I was drawing the cards, at the same time, I was talking to my mother telling her that tomorrow I would go to school and stay the night there in one of the lecture halls studying for my Midterm exam which will be held the following morning, on Friday.

I came up with this idea because the school is roughly 2 hours away from home and I don’t want to lose that 4 hours in total, coming home and going again the next morning to school, on the roads (Rider-Ship).

And my parents say that this is really not a good idea (Mountain).

After I got home, I picked 3 cards asking, “how did the exam go?”. I got Clouds-Letter-Cross.

Before the exam started, I was feeling relaxed and confident in my abilities to solve any kind of problems I was to encounter during the exam. When it started, I first had a quick look at the questions and then started solving from question #1.

As I was solving, I constantly did calculation mistakes. This stupid, weird, causeless confusion; doing silly calculation mistakes, erasing them, and then starting from all over soon began to made me nervous and took away my confidence, and then fear of not being able to finish the exam on time settled in me, and the rest of the exam went pretty much with the same negative feelings. (Clouds-Letter)

I did complete all of the questions. However, I’m not sure I did them all right. After the exam, all I was feeling was sadness. (the Cross).

Then I asked the cards a Yes-No question: Will I get above 90? I got Cloverleaf-Rider-Snake. Cloverleaf is on the positive spectrum, the Rider is Positive-Neutral, and the Snake belongs to the Neutral-Negative group. So, the Rider and the Snake cards cancel each other. I’m reading this line as; it’s possible (there’s a little luck) that I may receive a grade above a 90, but due to some complications (the Snake), which can be an insidious strict grading assistant, this may also not happen.

I drew 3 more cards asking, “Will I get above 80?” and got this time Sun-Man-Child. Both the Sun and the Child cards belong to the positive cards group, so I’m taking this as a yes answer.

I don't do yes/no spreads - at the few times I tried (I'd ask a friend to ask me a yes/no question he already knows the answer to and I'd tell him if the answer was yes or no.. I got it wrong almost every time...)so I can't comment regarding that.

But the second spread does look positive (I like that the sun is there) so it seems you should get over 80%, *fingers crossed*.

I did my daily spread and got - man - ship - park - so curious to see what this is all about.. because I'm not planning on leaving the house today, so it might be talks about meeting (and I'm chatting to someone online who lives in a different state) - so maybe with him? Although that seems unlikely..

And I got too curious so got two more cards out - heart and bridge.

so for my daily spread I got - man + ship + park + heart + bridge

Interesting..

EDIT: so I thought because of the man the day will involve the guy, nope... it was more about my aunt who just came from a cruise (ship) to visit us (park) and it was nice (heart).

the yes-no-spread seems positive, especially if your teacher is a man (success through a man?) and you might be a lot younger than him.

Exactly, content it everything... If I get the ship in the daily spread (and I'm not going anywhere) it may mean public transport not a trip somewhere. If I get a heart it doesn't mean new love will happen but rather something a bit more emotional maybe... or warm feelings towards something.

If you're working today I'd say you'd be very tired by the end of the day - anchor/book working, using knowledge, reading etc

The coffin for me many times represented me being very tired or for someone else having a terrible headache which forced the person to remain in bed...

Yes, the instructor is a male, and I am a lot younger than him. However, I’m not exactly sure if he’ll be the one grading the exam papers. He has 3 teaching assistants coming to our recitation sections; one is also a male and the other two are females. He might leave the grading part to them. Anyways, thanks for interpretation.

Not enthusiastic about that either, well my thoughts were frazzled though and actually I had been thinking about someone else instead of concentrating on my day.

So I did a second draw and got Tree-Woman-Stars.
