LOL, this is such a superficial post but...Will the USA beat Germany in the futbol match tomorrow!?!? I feel good about our chances even though most people say we are going to get destroyed. No one expected us to even get a point, but we have a chance here to win the group. IP: Logged |

Lol, I like to use the Portuguese version.  Honestly, I really like the German team so if it wasn't for the fact they are playing my home team I would want them to win. I hope they go far in the knockout stages. I want both of these teams to advance, so even a tie I will settle for as long as Port doesn't get blown out by Ghana for some reason. Ugh, I really felt for Ivory Coast, to let a goal in that late and lose. The worst. I'm Greek. Naturally I'm happy that we advanced and travesty is not the word I would use to describe it. This is one of the few things that the country and it's peoples can actually be happy about considering it's economy and many losses since they won the Cup years ago. Similar for Portugal. It was why I was rooting for Portugal against the US. As for the actual cards. I'm not sure if it's a yes. It looks like it may be. Like the teamwork will be emotionally full filling and they will be back for more. It could even be a tie. A close match. IP: Logged |

Well, you should be happy! I don't think anyone predicted you guys would advance. I was just saying its tough to lose last minute, I didn't have a horse in that game. I'm a fan of Ronaldo, so its hard for me to watch him play injured. Its unfortunate he probably won't win a cup. I want Port to beat Ghana tomorrow, but I get what you are saying. Honestly, I would settle for a tie. Germany is a great team and no one gave the US a chance when the group was first drawn. I'm proud of what we have accomplished. IP: Logged |

Germany has it all - individual talent, team talent and they play beautiful football. Unlike Greece. Portugal seems divided, they boo Ronaldo often (and he *is* the leader of their game). Another remarkable team is The Netherlands. Just like Germany, and I'd love for them to actually do something palpable, win something. Their fans are lovely, in orange. Every time I look forward to the African teams and they disappointed me a bit - this year, save for Ghana and they don't go to next round. Argentina is blah... (and Brasil didn't exactly wow). Uruguay and Italy... Heh, there's always respect for them. I don't think that biting should have gone unpunished. Tie sounds cool. Satisfaction on both ends (King). At least, they will listen to their coach closely and the tactics (3 of Wands) will yield results (3 of Pents). Or they'll turn around their back to the plan (Wands) in order to score more. In situations like this, they would be playing safer than usually. The USA coach is German, so it will be interesting. Klose scores (because he's GOAT). IP: Logged |

Watching Costa Rica - Greece now, and I don't think I can handle another set of penalties in such short notice! (possible penalties) But, boy did I rage at NED vs MEX. Unbelievable.

I watched the end of the Greece/Costa Rica game and I have to say both teams looked a bit sloppy. Maybe they were tired. I don't watch soccer all the time so I can't say. But the way the Costa Rican players seemed to be falling everywhere (at the end and overtime) reminded me of Lebraun James. I pulled Lennies and asked what would happen at the game, would Greece win? scythe-coffin-choice

Both teams played horrible, but they put on a clinic on shooting penalty kicks (looking at you Brazil!). Oh lawd, Costa Rica is going to get blown out by the Dutchbags (sorry I can't stand Robben and most of them!). I am 100% team CONCACAF, but it will probably be ugly. France + Benzema= Overrated. LOL, that pic so accurate, I love the European teams but they never play well in South America. I just pulled some cards Venus, so how will Germany do today?
