I have a few rather vague ideas - I usually let a GT sink for a while, keep looking at it, I don't always spot stuff the first time.

So, the four corners were rather nice: Flowers-Clover-Ship-Bear. Are you planning to take a trip together? Hmm, it's neither of your birthdays, Flowers can also be about a gift. They're pretty positive IMO. But I don't get why you are worried and can't grasp right now what is it about this obstacle in your happiness' way! He has Mountain in front of him and you're sitting in the house of the Mountain, facing the Clouds, which means worry. Are you worried about a more formal commitment? This is what Ring+Tower mean to me. Tower is an institution of some sort; it could be the city hall. He's knighting the Ring so he wants it too, no worries.

Your present looks ok, with the exception of the Whip which crowns your Pluto Man. He's kind of the one in control, seems to me (well, I guess you don't call him Pluto Man for nothing lol). The Whip is sitting in the house of the Tree - does he have an illness or is he in any sort of physical pain? Because he is knighting Coffin and Scythe and also the Tree.. Is he having surgery? He's sitting in the house of the Child, which also is in your present, on the FATE line, in the house of the KEY - are you pregnant??

You are knighting the Heart (aww, you're so in love!! He is too, no worries, Heart is in his diagonal ), Mice (minor losses), Birds (discussions, possible arguments), Sun, Fish and Cross (hmm.. what is going on here? why this trouble in paradise?? It looks external, in any case, I think you two are solid.. but there are some issues that I'm not yet figuring out)..

The Fate line is interesting: Fox-Letter-Child-Anchor. It seems to me like the start of a new job or work project - do you work together btw? OR.. the job of becoming parents. It would fit with the Anchor as last card. You will be linked for a long long time and it will bring stability, whatever this new beginning is.

In that case, yes, he is in quite deep gloom right now.. I won't lie. I wouldn't say depressed but close. He is definitely ending something, I think he wants to pull through and this is what matters. He's very serious about you btw. But needs to overcome an obstacle it seems.. and produce a change (Mountain is in the house of the Stork). I think this change will be a good one.

I will be honest - he might have to struggle a bit with this. Mountain is the last card in his future.. I hope he will be able to overcome it, because the Fate line looks optimistic to me.

I hope the girls chime in, maybe they see some things I missed. In any way, I am glad it resonated and that I was able to lift your spirits a little bit!

Not really, it seems that child + anchor brings certainty of a new start, and the issue was exactly about this.

You don't have to worry, DM, it's amazing how your spread describes the situation, and considering it's such an unusual one.

Sorry I edited my post describing the story a little more, I usually hate when people do that hahahaha it was just too personal and I wasn't sure you'll get to read it. The main issue was I have to decide if I include him in the project, because it is up to me.
We had a fight, hence the painful cards in the spread.
I did a little research on the cards and it seems Fox plus Letter already happened - there was an important letter between us with strong Fox flavor lol
I don't think the future looks that bleak, and maybe your initial feeling was right I will tell you!
I'm saying it doesn't look bleak because Sun + Mountain indicates a delayed success (it seems the Sun brings a strong positive influence even to more negative cards -although Mountain isn't always negative - it does indicate an almost unreachable goal or obstacle). Sun + Mountain is also an indicative for passion and exploding, coming out like a volcano. - this fits the situation too.
Ring + Tower is a possible indication of a contract, an official agreement, of being the authority in a matter - and it fits because he would work for me if things go that way
Child + Anchor apparently is described as a very positive combination as the two last cards, especially since what I had on my mind was the beginning of a new life.

I was thinking about completing your interpretation - which I feel to be spot on - as a practice for the methods I've been reading about.

The corners:
Flowers + Clover - this seems like a very positive combo, an invitation, chance, celebration and success.
Clover + Ship - a lucky short trip
and I also considered
Flowers + Bear (since it seems like a full cycle to me) - financial success, possibly coming in relation to a man

Since this hasn't happened yet, I assume it's related to the outcome or the next stage.

Flowers being in the 1st house, it's not long until Flowers lol or at least, it's actually Flowers triggering the next stage.

It makes sense in the context since the story is related to a possible invitation from my part.
While Clover seems to take some time and involves an ending (maybe an inheritence haha), Bear is in a success house.

Moving forward, apart from what you've described: me being in the House of the Mountain, him being in the house of the Child- a new beginning, him having Mountain ahead (it looks like I'm the Mountain for him in some way and it makes sense lol), I look at the house where Child lies, as you pointed out: the Key - a solution, a stable result.

The only mirroring I can do is with him, so Man + House - perhaps that's why you said his intentions are serious - this indicates a stable, serious man. And the House is in my House! number 29.

We also mirror each other and I'm his Whip lol

Looking at diagonals, I see:

Distant past for him: Cross + Lilly some sexual issues wow! how fitting
recent: Heart
Immediate future: Mice - stress, loss, anxiety, worries
Near future: the direct line we've discussed, made of Moon + Sun and Sun + Mountain
More distant future: Clouds + Fish or Clouds then Fish (I'm not sure about this) - some financial worries, or even the loss of his job, but Fish is in the house of the Sun (mine) so maybe I can help lol

For my diagonals, I see:

distant past: Tree + Cross: suffering, depression...indeed
recent: Key - revealing something significant... yes - Key is in the house of the Birds, so this something was communicated between us, as it happened.
Immediate future: Moon + Scythe - the separation continues for a while. Interestingly, Moon is before him, in the house of the Fox and Scythe is in the house of the Snake and he's knighting Scythe - since this can be read as cutting off BS lol for both of us, I hope this is what it means.
And it is very possible, since Dog is in the farthest future
EDIT: sorry, wrong interpretation here. It seems house 14 - the Fox -is also the House of Love - so Moon in there, before both of us, and later on for me, Scythe in the house of the Snake (Mistakes) - seeing the quarrel as a mistake.
House of Scythe has Roads in it, so it's related to a decision already made.

I'm still not sure if the direct future line is BEFORE or AFTER the future diagonal, but it makes sense the future diagonal to be the furthest in the future. What do you think?

I'm very excited about Knighting since I like to play chess. In chess, the Knight is indeed lurking in the background as a protector of the King and he makes an unexpected move. It's a piece you can easily ignore, as a rookie, so it makes sense for Knighting to point to things under the surface, not explicit, but being on the mind of the protagonists and surfacing at some point. It reminds of the "Things Least Apparent" in I Ching. What those two people secretly think about or wish, their intentions, and perhaps things related to the outcome, as a projection of our thoughts/wishes/intentions.

So I'm Knighting Birds and Cross - there's been some tough confrontation I keep thinking about; Sun and Fish - some good financial news I know about.I also Knight Letter and Anchor which is a good sign.

He's Knighting Coffin Rider - the desire for a new beginning, rebirth - it goes so well with him being in the Child house and all those tough cards surrounding him.
Scythe Ring - our breakup
Tree + Dog - I'm not sure about this one, I hope it's not health related. I read it also means "soulmate" hahaha

I also took a look at the Heart, this love of our lol I see Roads, Moon, Rider and Woman - it seems I have to decide.
The Anchor itself has Woman and Ring in the background.

How am I doing?

When you have a little time, maybe you can tell me what it means the cards both people are Knighting, in common, and what are the other cards you highlighted as being Knighted? Anyone else can explain?

I think if you keep this up you're going to be the most skilled Lenormand interpreter here!
You did a wonderful job! Re knighting if both people knight the same card, I take it to mean they both want the same thing, they have the same intention. I had that with Scorpio, we were both knighting Lilly. Now you're super advanced so you know what we're both after.

It's my board/specialty exam. I am finishing my surgical residency and am about to become a specialist. You're right, I left sudden. Something did happen but can't get into it, enough to say I realized I got in too deep too fast and at the wrong time. Being a control freak most of the time, it is out of the question to let it perpetuate.

I am sorry if I offended anyone or left you high and dry, it was not intentional.
