sometimes I use the symbolic meaning of the cards, sometimes I look at the cards and take it in trust sense of the word.

Having said that, that's why I didn't pully any more cards for his descriptions since I thought that card fits perfectly

I just pulled 2 further cards re. "how you meet":
6 of swords rev and high priestess. To be honest I am know more confused than before. Okay, we have 8 of wands, 6 of swords rev and the high priestess

Re. his job: I pulled 6 of cups and Eremit. We have page of swords + 6 of cups + eremit
Could be a solitarily living farmer who sells his stuff on the countryside?

Those two cards for the meeting suggest silence, pure and simple. A meeting where there isn't much talking or one of the protagonists doesn't speak (shy) he is just staring. My husband completely called him out on his emotional game-playing and general asshattery. It was awkward. But necessary. Not sure about the aftermath just yet. I think it was time, though.
