Funny you mentioned the soul-recognition from right away in that spread. That surprised me, but after I thought about it, it would make sense. I have read an article about which energy recognizes the TF first, masculine or feminine? Well they say it's the feminine so I always believed I know the connection but he doesn't. However, in reality, Even though I'm the female, I have the masculine energy (fire and air) and he has the feminine energy (water and earth.) So maybe he really did recognize it first! I actually pulled cards asking who recognized the soul connection first and pulled: moon-man-clover.

That's a great post, Tgem. I think this is how it works: the water one is the one who's supposed to feel this kind of thing first (man or woman) and I can attest with some examples I know.

This "first impression" thing is very interesting, and I have something to say about it later on. It's interesting because it's retroactive, verifiable, so it's an interesting way to check how Tarot cards speak to us.

So I thought about another intriguing theme (I think): asking about things in the past (or present) you couldn't grasp, couldn't understand. Those moments from the past when there was confusion and you couldn't get what happened, what the other was thinking, what actually happened etc.

If you're in, let me know!

But we continue the first impression too, if and when there are any more takers.

Okay, I got:
- magician
- ace of pentacles
- world rev

at the very first i got the feeling that R's view of the world has been shackled.
Also, he/she may have wanted to come across as the artistic/spiritual leader + wanted to receive a lot of money but both things put together don't work.
THEN: when I wanted to put the cards aside one card slipped away: *EDIT* 7 of CUPS not pentacles. Mabye R. is greedy for money & fame
