-> sure, pages means news and it could be unexpected. Okay...we could really see it that way but I was just thinking about relationships and so I thought it's the way you'll be approaching each other

There is however a positive vibe with this card, the outcome is open. Perhaps it depends a lot on him (his freedom) or another man is involved. Or a leap of faith. But the Fool is so energetic and happy, no matter the outcome, something positive will come out of it.

But apart from that I think this is not starting at the beginning, but maybe before the great hurdle came.
And it speaks about him being confused, not knowing what to do, also being moody, and with the 5 of cups, filled with remorse and regret. A great deal of longing is present and sadness about having lost seomthing precious.
Did you mention there was a distancing phase between you? If so this might relate to this
