I used an online program to pull a card in response to my question:

Is our psychic health causing me to be ill in unison?

(I am NEVER ill and since August I've had some bug or the other. It turned out that J was ill too around the same time with the same condition. So, is his ill-health affecting mine?)

3 of swords could mean a "NO", or it could be saying that the ill-health is being caused by emotional upheavals, broken heart, etc.

What do you think? Could someone pull a couple of cards and clarify please?

Aside from general unpleasantness, 3/S can point to 3 people, simple as that. 3s of P/S/C are nimble like that.

In health readings (which I never give beforehand), swords rarely point to something substantial, ie physical conditions around the illness are rarely explained by a sword card. Really rarely.

Methinks the difficulty arises with a one card read. The question was really asking if a psychic link was strong enough to affect the body, and I am inclined to think that 3 of Swords was a negative. 3 people, in this instance, wouldn't apply.

I think it says no, and then points to physical illness (the pierced heart); it could even point to the area; if it's a cold, it's the chest area, or kidneys, back pain, pain in general. The background could be psychosomatic too, depression, but your answer is no, IMO. 3 of swords is basically a physical pain card, in health, unless we're talking mental anguish due to romance, but this is unrelated to psychic cause, which to be honest, I don't think it exists. You two could have similar transits though, or transits affecting health (your 6th house, 6th ruler, the 12th)

Thanks, Leeloo. Transits are something else to consider.

I've just noticed a mistake in the question. I meant to say "our psychic connection" and not 'our psychic health". Anyhow, the answer is the same.

Btw, do you find that online spreads connect well with questions? Or is it a bit hit and miss? I have been surprised at times by the how well they resonate.
