I think it refers to the Unity inherent in the Creative Name of God. (from out of the darkness, let there be Light, so to speak. )
Speaking of "Out of the darkness" and Hampton Roads, check out what I found in a website today (I saw a white crane unexpectedly near) http://www.sos-walk.org/sos/crane.htm Coincidence? I think Naught! IP: Logged |

And check this out: when I was reading Canto Two, a bit of horsemint got wedged in Canto Thirteen. It was on the page where Linda describes him as a Crane. How sweet is that? IP: Logged |

It's obvious why Linda signed L.G., isn't it? I haven't read the whole thread, so I don't know whether or not it has been discussed. But I will gladly elaborate.I write poetry, and wished to become a writer like Linda is, so when I read what she wrote about her chosen field it triggered me a lot to thinking. Today I don't think this is my vocation, although I may wish it was. But I am sensing that another dream may perchance be more real for me, more contributing. I wonder whether art is really so devastating in a personal way, detrimental to the artist's life. I arrived at a point where I can no longer create like I used to. It's been too much perhaps. Maybe it's a matter of strengh. I didn't know Linda died in her sleep... interesting. After fearing such a death so much... even though many consider such a death ideal... It is very interesting she refers to her descent from heaven as death. I think it's the first time I have read such a description. I am thinking a lot about life after death, and I know already I want to return and do all that I didn't have the chance to do yet. But is it really like dying, once more? I believe a part of us stays "up there" while we are born here. So why is it death? What do you think? I wonder, if this world isn't real, why is coming back here so good? I actually have an answer for it. I'm not so sure Linda will be back, though. She doesn't have to. But if she will, she should find fulfillment in love this time. I don't know if all this pertains to canto one... just my musings after reading. Levitation is fun. I had such an experience, though not quite as blissful and uplifting as she describes. It happened to me when I was a teen and meditated in my room. Suddenly I felt as if someone took me out of my body and swirled me all across the room. It was so much fun! How about you? Have you ever felt levitation?
