Feel free to post your thoughts as you read each Canto. There is a separate Topic string for each Canto.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." HelloHow far is everyone with their reading? There is a POem in Gooberz that I would like to analize and discuss. ------------------ What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us ~Ralph Waldo Emerson IP: Logged |

the lone child cried its cries filled the womb cries of fear, forseeing its doomwith fist tightly curled it cried out its fear as little words of hate crept into its ear then the World gazed upon it with a Great Loving Eye but its fist remained curled and its first word was... why? IP: Logged |

This POem can be interpreted in many ways but what is the unversal message here? We know what we are born into, what trials and lessons await. A clenched fist or curled fist can either mean anger or strength. If we know what we are born into why would that make us angry? We know what lessons await.------------------ What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us ~Ralph Waldo Emerson IP: Logged |
