Ok, I want to have a go at this. I've only read the rhymes as a child, so I'm having to read them again online, but I'll post what I think they mean, based on what I know so far.--------------------------------------------- 1. A wise old owl lived in an oak. The more he saw the less he spoke. The less he spoke the more he heard. Why can’t we all be like that wise old bird? --- this one is kind of self-explanatory if you've read Star Signs or Gooberz. The wise owl learns to listen with his inner ear. And listening more in general makes you wiser. -- 2. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men Couldn’t put Humpty together again! -- Now this one is very interesting because Humpty is always depicted as an egg, but the poem never says he's an egg. Back then the term "humpty dumpty" meant a short, clumsy person. Lewis Carroll's illustrator was the first one to depict him as an egg in Through The Looking Glass. The version of the poem above is the most modern version. To find the esoteric codes, we might have to look at the original version. The original is this: Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. Four-score Men and Four-score more, Could not make Humpty Dumpty where he was before To me, "Could not make Humpty Dumpty where he was before" sounds very different than "Couldn’t put Humpty together again!" A simple search for the meaning of sitting on a wall reveals the most obvious answer: "It means to hesitate over an answer to a problem between two opposing solutions and refuse to commit to either one or the other. Another term is sitting on the fence." And I think that's probably what this one is about. The danger of not committing to a decision or taking action on a problem. You will be thrown into chaos and no one will be able to put you back together as before. The other more esoteric meaning might be describing the Earth cataclysms or the Earth's fall, which some people think because of the egg depiction. In that case the original version of the poem fits better because we're still here but not as we were before ... ----- Ok, I'll have to do more later. This is pretty fun!

3. Itsy bitsy spider climbed up the waterspout. Down came the rain and washed the spider out. Out came the sun and dried up all the rain and so itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again.-- I think a lot of these rhymes are deeper lessons for us. This one is about persistence. Spiders are a wonderful example of that. They build a brand new web every night and if it gets destroyed while they're building it, they'll just start over from scratch without missing a beat. ---- 4. Jack and Jill Went up the hill To fetch a pail of water. Jack fell down And broke his crown And Jill came tumbling after.
-- Jack and Jill are Twin Selves. They went up the hill to find the holy grail to be spiritually nourished. Jack had a fall and lost his divinity, and thus Jill fell with him. ----- 5. Ring-a-round the rosie, A pocket full of posies, Ashes! Ashes! We all fall down. The cows in the meadows Eating buttercups A-tishoo! A-tishoo! We all jump up. -- This one seems like it's about reincarnation and the carousel Linda talks about. Ashes and falling down is death and jumping up is coming back. I mainly did the more obvious ones. Other ones are way more obscure and will take a lot more time to figure out. It would be cool if others tried it too.
