I was reading the ants story in Gooberz (the Yellow Wax note), and of course I was in tears, because who can read that and not be, and on the page was a baby ant crawling across it. I say baby ant, because it was so tiny compared to other black ants. What are the odds, huh? I let it crawl to the window sill to be safe. But yeah, ants are awesome.

Remember I was telling you about my ant problem? Some of the ants decided to start nesting in one of my aloe plants. When I would water the plant, ants would come running out of the dirt and up the aloe leaves carrying little, white, ant-baby eggs. I didn't want to use bait and poison with little ones and pets. I had read that cinnamon deters ants and decided to try it. I sprinkled cinnamon on the window sill in a circle around the plant's pot and then watered it. It worked like a charm! And I haven't seen any ants in the house since I sprinkled the cinnamon powder around my ant-prone areas!
