I think she was just explaining how it works for those rich guys with no intent, but that it works optimally if done in the right spirit...so no contradiction.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I kind of look at giving as a good thing all around...though it may not return to the giver. For example, let's take Christmas. This is one of the most commercialized holidays--with many people giving for the wrong reasons and to get gifts back in return. But still, I think a lot of good is accomplished during the holiday season, and it creates a certain positive feeling in the air (Christmas Spirit). ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." But anyway, it is best to give in the right frame of mind.IP: Logged |

So, bad motives equal some success. And if we are giving half in order to receive, perhaps there might be some ulterior motives marginally behind that, as well? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." i quite often wonder about this - and it really does define where i am mentally with the concept at the moment... i'm not entirely convinced that giving with the expectation of receiving, even minimally, doesn't put a chink in the chain so to speak... and at what point, if any, does it become only about potential material gain? I feel that at some point, you simply want to give all that you can...not just money, but your time, as well. You forget outcomes, and you simply give. I want to reach that point in my life.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." yes... i agree with that wholeheartedly... this is where i try to be most of the time - zero expectations, but in a positive way... what i struggle with is the happy giving of my time to people but am working on that IP: Logged |

what linda says about fixed signs being organizers, i dont know if i agree or feel it, even though my sun is scorpio and my moon is leo, i do have a strong gemini, equally as strong as my scorpio and leo because of my mercury singleton------------------ What happens on Venus stays on Venus -Nasa IP: Logged |

i give a lot but only to friends and people that have helped me like family, employees, etc.. i'm in number 2 but i'm a taurus w/ a leo moon in the 10th. i'd be willing to do something boring if it will bring in wealth. i'm not sure if i can do something i do not love artistically for fame. i give to random old people. i dunno why. but i do not give to random poor people. i donated my linda goodman books to the public library lol! well they were my mom's so i'd say we. i should buy another one. was too young to understand that one anyway. I finished re-reading Chapter 1. I am number 3 category. I love my work and I enjoy it. I worked for hours on my own wish. Same think I am guiding my son that listen to yourself. He is trying to choose his field. He is Taurus with Gemini Ascendant. Now he is into stock trader. He listens news, gather facts and take actions.IP: Logged |

Yes, today I forget my book at home. I am now at Chapter 2. I was recalling that I read Star Signs first time when I was in India and I visualized Pikes Peak, Cripple Creek all through Star Signs. Today I am in Colorado, USA - How much visualization is effective.IP: Logged |
