Sooo... If your true love was the Spirit from above, what do you think you might receive? Wasn't that play written at the command of the Queen? "On the twelfth day of Christmas, my True Love gave to me..." (As opposed to "A MidSummer Nights Dream" no doubt.) IP: Logged |

Okay, St. Ephanie...I just ran across the place in "Star Signs" where she is talking about the manuscipt, and it might be about Evolution. I always thought that is a Key time of the year to bring things to a Higher Level, sort of like a Door... IP: Logged |

I think this might be what you're referring to, Ellynlvx...from Linda Goodman's Star Signs (pg. 113-114): Whether you consciously realize it yet or not, you've enrolled yourself by choice (on the level of your Higher Self) in a spiritual classroom. And the school of Karma (macrocosm to microcosm) is just like any Earth school in most respects. In Earth schools, when you graduate the fifth grade, you move on to the sixth grade (the next level)-and if you've reamed particularly well, you may even skip a grade or so. But should you fail the fifth grade, what happens ? You remain right there where you are until your teachers feel you've learned enough to be advanced to the next grade (or level). You don't get plunked back into the fourth or second grade or kindergarten, just because you failed your fifth grade exams. And that should end the confusion about transmigration. Likewise, you don't get plunked back into the body of a grasshopper or a kangaroo when you've failed a certain grade (level) of human existence. You remain in the same general type environment, life after life (incarnation after incarnation), until you're ready to pass your tests [Like in the movie Groundhog Day...but instead of a the events of a single day repeating over and over...think of it as the events of a lifetime repeating over and over.] and advance into the next grade-or level of enlightenment-equipped with a body temple made of finer substance (cell regeneration), a more evolved mind and illuminated spirit with which to meet the challenges of the higher grades, all the way up to the spiritual "college courses." Eventually you receive your "Master's" degree. If you're wondering whether or not the spirit, in the long- forgotten past, ever chose to incarnate into mineral, insect, or animal form . . . reflected in the poet's musing ... "when I was a tadpole, and you were a fish" .... and should you also be wondering why half the astrological signs are represented by animals . . . why animals are on Earth, and what manifested them here, eons upon eons ago, know that there is an answer to such PUZZLINGS. They are all matters relating to a personal enlightenment and esoteric instruction I've experienced . . . part of the true story of Genesis. It still needs more support from the teachings of one far more illuminated than myself, and I feel that such full verification is several years away. When I'm sufficiently instructed and prepared, and when I'm told the time is right, I will write about all these "twelfth night secrets." But it's a delicate and complex subject, and considering the controversy it could create among both the sincere Bible Fundamentalists and the Darwin disciples, it might have to be presented as science fiction. For the present, it's sufficient for you to realize that there is an explanation for the animal enigma, and that it does not necessarily contradict or oppose either the creation theory or the evolution theory, but rather enriches and expands both, bringing them together in harmony. *************************************************** I think it's do able...makes sense to me. That is such a cool album cover... "One more time to live and I have made it mine, Leave the wise to write for they write wordly rhymes." ~ Moody Blues Every GOOD Boy Deserves Favour The title is taken from the student mnemonic for the lines of the treble clef: E-G-B-D-F. These notes are heard played on piano during "Procession." Axial precession Etymologically, precession and procession are terms that relate to motion (derived from the Latin processio, “a marching forward, an advance”). Generally the term procession is used to describe a group of objects moving forward, whereas, the term precession is used to describe a group of objects moving backward. The stars viewed from earth are seen to proceed in a procession from east to west daily, due to the earth’s diurnal motion, and yearly, due to the earth’s revolution around the Sun. At the same time the stars can be observed to move slightly retrograde, at the rate of approximately 50 arc seconds per year, a phenomenon known as the “precession of the equinox". In astronomy, "precession" refers to any of several slow changes in an astronomical body's rotational or orbital parameters, and especially to the Earth's precession of the equinoxes. See also Great Year ***************************************************** And that's just to name a few... IP: Logged |

Copying and pasting this from the "silly question" thread... MNEMOSYNE, source of the word mnemonic, was the personification of memory in Greek mythology. The titaness was the daughter of Gaia and Uranus and the mother of the nine Muses by Zeus: Calliope (Epic/Heroic Poetry) Clio (History) Erato (Love Poetry) Euterpe (Music) Melpomene (Tragedy) Polyhymnia (Hymns) Terpsichore (Dance) Thalia (Comedy) Urania (Astronomy)
In Hesiod's Theogony, kings and poets receive their powers of authoritative speech from their possession of Mnemosyne and their special relationship with the Muses. Zeus and Mnemosyne slept together for nine consecutive nights, thus birthing the nine Muses. Mnemosyne also presided over a pool in Hades, counterpart to the river Lethe, according to a series of 4th century BC Greek funerary inscriptions in dactylic hexameter. Dead souls drank from Lethe so they would not remember their past lives when reincarnated. Initiates were encouraged to drink from the river Mnemosyne when they died, instead of Lethe. Similarly, those who wished to consult the oracle of Trophonius in Boeotia were made to drink alternately from two springs called "Lethe" and "Mnemosyne". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mnemosyne ********************************************** A mnemonic, or MNEMONIC DEVICE, is any learning technique that aids information retention. Mnemonics aim to translate information into a form that the human brain can retain better than its original form. Even the process of merely learning this conversion might already aid in the transfer of information to long-term memory. Commonly encountered mnemonics are often used for lists and in auditory form, such as short poems, acronyms, or memorable phrases, but mnemonics can also be used for other types of information and in visual or kinesthetic forms. Their use is based on the observation that the human mind more easily remembers spatial, personal, surprising, physical, sexual, humorous, or otherwise 'relatable' information, rather than more abstract or impersonal forms of information. The word mnemonic is derived from the Ancient Greek word μνημονικός (mnēmonikos), meaning "of memory" and is related to Mnemosyne ("remembrance"), the name of the goddess of memory in Greek mythology. Both of these words are derived from μνήμη (mnēmē ), "remembrance, memory". Mnemonics in antiquity were most often considered in the context of what is today known as the Art of Memory. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mnemonic IP: Logged |

I did a lot of growing up in hotels and we'd drive to the hotel in my dad's blue Mercedes, so the obvious Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel...HOTEL CALIFORNIA - EAGLES On a dark desert highway, Cool wind in my hair, Warm smell of colitas Rising up through the air, Up ahead in the distance I saw a shimmering light, My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim, I had to stop for the night. There she stood in the doorway, I heard the mission bell And I was thinkin' to myself : "This could be Heaven and this could be Hell" Then she lit up a candle, And she showed me the way, There were voices down the corridor, I thought I heard them say Welcome to the Hotel California, Such a lovely place, (Such a lovely place) Such a lovely face Plenty of room at the Hotel California, Any time of year, (Any time of year) You can find it here Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, She got the Mercedes bends She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends How they dance in the courtyard, Sweet summer sweat Some dance to remember, Some dance to forget So I called up the CAPTAIN "Please bring me my wine" He said, "We haven't had that Spirit here Since nineteen sixty-nine" And still those voices are calling from far away, Wake you up in the middle of the night Just to hear them say: Welcome to the Hotel California, Such a lovely place, (Such a lovely place) Such a lovely face They're livin' it up at the Hotel California, What a nice surprise, (What a nice surprise) Bring your alibis Mirrors on the ceiling, and pink champagne on ice, and she said: "We are all just prisoners here, Of our own device" And in the master's chambers They gathered for the feast, They stabbed it with their steely knives, But they just can't kill the beast Last thing I remember, I was running for the Door, I had to find the passage back to the place I was before, "Relax," said the night man, "We are programmed to receive, You can check out anytime you like... but you can never leave" IP: Logged |
