Dean, thank you! You are a wonderful Elf to us all I have traded the texts in for contemplation. The mind gets too busy when the Soul should be flexing it`s wings instead . Meili`s statement quote: The battle between light and darkness always begins and ends in the soul. It is not an external battle against an external enemy
is a perfect mirror reflection of but ONE which I contemplate : ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

Yes, I've read every David (and sometimes his wife Leigh's) books. The ones of which I speak were called the Balgarion and the Mallorean. There was an eleventh book entitled the Rivan codex which held a lot of the info used in the previous eleven (actually there were two more, but I digress). In the end, it didn't make too much sense - the religios ones looked for signs in the rocks. etc to determine what was light, and what was darkness, as one of them had to chose at some point. This was the underlying plot - to know the difference. But as David said, all plots are basically derivitive and as an author he was pretty amazing (until I read another of his recently which has turned me a bit). These fantasical stories took up a large chunk of my mid teens though, as they truly formed a great tale.Hey Juni, did you notice that Contemplate contains Complete? Plus no though, so maybe contemplation is a form of searching for perfection. However, contemplation is an even bigger word containg more letters, and hence more lexis With Love, Dean. IP: Logged |

Meili, Lathander and bauschd I was reading the first page and couldn't resist to add my 2 cents.
First Lathander, you might recollect in quantum mechanics about Schrodinger hypothetical cat. We would never know if the Cat is alive or dead. If we open the box the cat is dead if we do not open it, we can contemplate that the cat must be living. So what I gather from this is unless you transcend yourself, that is be an observer as well as one observed, you will never know the truth. The only one right now in this universe who is capable to do that is God himself. Everyone else are either on this side or that side and therefore never knows the reality. Hmm, interesting, I wanted to put that thought before it fades away. Also regarding free will. I believe that its neither totally preordained nor totally free will. God observes and gives to each how he sows. God governs man, prayers govern God. Every suffering in a few days of time will make you realize what had happened. What we see everywhere is only works of God. He has numbered every hair on our head and every drop of blood. He knows you. All right let me read the next few pages.

Hi Meili, I do not believe souls could be extinct. "Soul cannot be destroyed. It didn't have a beginning because time was not born yet" Please read my post for the origin of creation: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/001147.html IP: Logged |

Greetings Meili, can you explain why there are people that are insane? Who gets the lesson? The one experiencing madness can't work through his/her sickness so is it for family or perhaps the people that care for them? I know there must be a purpose but I am not understanding it. Blessings.
