Hi!I had an experience a few days ago that really freaked me out at the time and I would really appreciate some feedback on it. This is the experience.. I was asleep, when I somehow realised that I was asleep and I wanted to wake up. I then thought I had managed to wake myself up and as I tried to move my arms to get out of bed, I felt this really intense buzzing in my arms. It was as if all my arms consisted of was this energy that was buzzing, I could both feel it and hear it very strongly. I freaked out, and tried to call out to my mother but I couldn't (I used to do that when I was a kid and had nightmares. I live alone now though and haven't done it for years so I must have been really scared). I then slipped into a dream, I think, and I was stumbling across the room to turn on the light switch, but it didn't work. And then I woke up, this time for real. I've heard that when people experience astral travelling they sometimes feel as if their whole body is vibrating just as they leave it. That has made me wonder about the 'dream' I had, although I don't even know if I can call it a dream since it was so intense. Any thoughts on this would be very much appreciated ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/smile.gif) IP: Logged |

Well, for starters, Ra is awesome at help ing to decipher dreams - over at Astral Realms. Secondly, Welcome Maybe this should've been first ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/confused.gif) Thirdly, I agree, the vibration is prolly something to do with Astral travelling. It seems you are aware at both an Astral level and Physical level which is interesting. Hopefully FishKitten will see this and add something, as she is our resident Astral travelling expert. I just always thought the transition would be fairly instantaneous, but maybe the process could be fairly slow in changing vibrational speeds? Anyhow, my thoughts, Dean. IP: Logged |

Hi cassiopeia,I get the same thing and it's been happening for years. I usually here a wind like noise or a high pitched whistling noise. My body gets this major vibration feeling throughout it. When I'm out of body, my movements are very slow, almost like trying to walk in water. When this first started happening it was very scary but I'm used to it now. I talk more about it here, in a string in Astral Realms. There is alot of info about it out there and people hear alot of different things. You're not alone. There's a great book called Journeys Out of Body by Robert Monroe that helped me understand what was going on. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum15/HTML/000720.html Welcome to the astral traveling club! ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/biggrin.gif) IP: Logged |

Lately, I've been seeing rainbows on things. Tiny ones, I keep thinking my eye is screwed up. I have always had what I call a poor mewmory, and can't recall if I already said or did something. I have like waking dreams. I'll be sitting there thinking I know I'm awake even in the dream I know I'm awake. Is that the same thing as astral travel? I get a lot of "don't you remember saying that?" I'm almost always in my head, it makes doing everyday things very difficult. I am aware of the electrical current in my body. I can tell when it's elevated because I get shakey, like I drank 5 cups of coffee. If you "astral travel" do you know that's what you are doing? IP: Logged |

Wow, rainbows?! Cool! I see little flashes of lights like stars - little bigger than pin points. They are usually blue or white. And at night (this has been happening more frequently lately) I see this orangish glow that goes in and out. It's very hard to describe accuratly, but it's like a vibration. It's like I can see the air vibrating or breathing. It goes in and out. Not scarey at all, it's pretty actually. It's only at night before I go to bed. I can look anywhere in the room and see it. And it's not just the place I'm living at now, it's been happening for a long time. I could go on and on. I've been seeing "strange things" since I was very young. The best were the "things"/lights that used to float above my bed at night when I was young. It would kind of freak my mom out when I told her about them while sleeping in her bed sometimes as a child. When I astral travel I cant control where I go yet. I know some people can but so far - that I can recall at least - I cant control it. You may be going out of body Philly, or they could be Lucid dreams. I wish I could see the rainbows you describe, so cool. ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/sparkly.gif) ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/love.gif) IP: Logged |

They are just like the little rainbows that a quartz crystal might reflect. I'll have to remember to ask myself if I'm astral traveling during one of my lucid dreams.IP: Logged |
