When I first became interested in travel, the first place I desired to go was New Orleans. I have no idea why. The only thing I knew of it at the time was that it was a place to drink and party both of which i've never been too interested in with my virgo ways.Besides at the time I wasn't even old enough to drink. I just felt a feeling of homesickness for New Orleans and needed to be there. A year later when I arrived there, every thing seemed familiar like I had been there before. And I knew that I had a past life there. Does anyone have any suggestions or referances for me to tap into these memories? IP: Logged |

How about regression? Welcome BTW! I also think as in everything to go with the flow. The more you are attracted to things, I guess the more they should be explored. I could imagine astralling to New Orleans and kickin up an awesome jazz sesh with our astral instruments... Dean. IP: Logged |

I haven't yet learned about regression. Doesn't it have todo with hyptnosis? If so got any referances? Yes, the jazz also, not something that I would go buy cds of or anything, it just strikes a harmonious tune in my soul.IP: Logged |

I always had dreams abt mountains and visiting this specific place again and again. In one of my dreams, I identified it as Austria and a few days later, I saw a discovery channel show that confirmed my dreams! I have had various dreams abt places I am going to visit and mostly they prove to be true. I wonder what it means though ...IP: Logged |

I think that it has to do with astral visits and past lives.IP: Logged |

Well, yeah, when I first read your post, I misread a line and thought you wanted to astral travel there as the first place, maybe once you learnt how. Then after I posted, I realised you meant physically, but I have this thing where even if I'm way off (as can happen) I'll let it slide and see what transpires. Sometimes the wrong thing said will result in the right answer asked Mostly not Just an experiment Dean. IP: Logged |

interesting topic, and i can identify.. when i was 21 years old i awoke one morning with a message. "go to rockland" now, i had recently divorced and was staying with my mom.. being the sort of gal i am, i was in rockland 4 days later.. with just a backpack.. within 2 hours, i bumped into someone i had known years ago.. my aunt's ex husband, who invited me to crash on his couch.. within almost no time i had a job (at the first establishment i had walked into upon arriving). a few years have passed.. i still live here and would rather be a part of no other community if a place draws you to it, you may want to find out why IP: Logged |

Hi Tracy, My roomate last year felt a similar affinity for New Orleans and decided to transfer to college there. It was a big step for her because she would be very far from home but now she's happy she went! I've always had an affinity for California since I was little. I finally went on vacation there when I was 15 and I think it triggered some kind of spiritual awakening in me because I felt so alive and vibrant...I guess traveling has that kind of affect on some people though. San Francisco was the place that I felt most familiar with. Hmmm Maybe I was a hippie in a past life? IP: Logged |

WOW - I have been paging through old threads and I had the exact experience. I am from MN as well. I am magnetically drawn to the Big Easy and had similar "familiar" experiences. I feel "home" there and had no reason to. This strikes me as so strange because no one I've explained that to "got" it and we're in the same part of the US.------------------ Carpe Diem IP: Logged |

I felt EXACTLY the same way as you - New Orleans was the first place I wanted to go when I got into travel (I am in corporate travel) Once I arrived, it was almost surreal - and very familiar - I walked around almost in a daze/dejavu sense of feeling the entire time, but loved every second. I know I have had past lives there and have been back there 9 times. I love New Orleans. Same reasons as you - I don't drink or carry on in bars, although I'm a people watcher and love to just sit and watch the action. IP: Logged |

Sorry for the lateness of my reply, That's cool fairydust, I wonder if there is a reason for that.. Maybe also, I was just thinking.. I am sensitive to energy, are either of you? maybe its just the impression of fun energy there that's so magnetic. Now I want to go again.IP: Logged |

Tracey I've been desiring to do the same, lol and I know not why but New Orleans and Arizona are a callin for ever so long now. I reckon it could be due to pastlife connections too. IP: Logged |

Did anyone get to visit New Orleans before this terrible disaster? Unfortunately, I haven't been since Mardi Gras of 2003. I am so sad over this that I just have been able to express it now. I feel It will never be the same now, like it's poor old soul has been washed away.IP: Logged |
