I got a little too intense for her last night over the phone according to her. A bit too responsible. What happened is that she mentioned in an email yesterday that her focus is on moving away in January to a city hundreds of miles away. The way my brain works is that when I enter a relationship I try to figure out as soon as possible whether or not there's a possibility of a long-term relationship. I do this because I hate hurting people, so it seems smarter to me to cut things short as soon as possible if I can't imagine being with them long term. So I wrote her back that I'm ok with her move, and it kind of helps me in that I won't have to have a serious deliberation about what I think the long term possibilities are. That is truly the way I feel about it. It lifts the burden of having to make a definitive decision about where we're heading, which should be good in that it lets us enjoy one another while she's here, and should make her move a little easier I would think. It was a bit heavy for her I think when we talked about it later on the phone. In the end I assured her that nothing had changed, that I would still be here today, that I would still email her today, and I'd still call her up today. I think she must have some Pisces in her or something. She seems a little dreamy or spacy at times. I don't think she enjoyed my being grounded, or bringing her back down to earth. Anyway, that's where things are. I emailed her first thing this morning when I got in, but I haven't received any reply yet. Not sure if that means anything or not. AG IP: Logged
