As we mature as lovers, we are able to gain some conroll of our arousal in an atempt to please our partners. Generaly called our staying power, this ability is often achieved by learning to distract ourselves from our arousal [thinking about baseball, or something else] rather then by learning to sensitize ourselves to it. As one who is well suited for marathon sex, it can honestly lose it's fun pretty quick. Foreplay and massage are probably more enjoyable and better uses of your naked time together (if you want to have fun in bed over an extended period of time).

How about animals?
For instance...
Like spiders and Praying mantis bite their mate's head off.
Bed bugs have no sexual orifice,...so the fellow must drill his own...
Some creatures can change their sex
Some males of certain mammals...nurse their young.
Toads can accidentally kill their mate by drowning or injure them by their too intense embrace...
I had a rabbit who got it on with my cats....they and the rabbit were all male....
