Arch: Arches are symbolic of openings, passage-ways, and initiations. In a reading, the arch is a symbol of a new direction for the querent. This new opening or path is indicated by the card. Castle: Castle symbol meanings deal with goals. Castles are physical representations of our need to build (block by block) upon a strong foundation in order to obtain our goals. Castles may also deal with sheltering ourselves or limiting ourselves from reaching our goals. They are also a symbol of obtaining our desires. Flowers: As we would guess, flowers possess symbol meanings of joy, beauty, growth, sensitivity and unfolding. Flowers are all about opening up and receiving the light of love, joy and compassion into our lives. They remind us of the better things in life, the good times, the sweet smell of success, and the beauty that surrounds us if only we open up to its presence. Grapes/Grapevines: Symbol meanings of grapes and grapevines deal with fertility, abundance, transformation and blessing. Yellow: The color yellow is symbolic of intelligence as well as cheer, satisfaction and all-around contentment. Corresponding with the Manipura chakra, also known as the solar plexus chakra, yellow is an anchoring hue dealing with core issues in our lives. That which is at our emotional center is worth paying attention to. In the four of wands, yellow represents our emotional well-being in the high-bright summer days of our lives. Further, this particular festival traditionally marked the first day of summer. With that delineation, there is focus on new growth, rites of fertility, and renewed blessings within the homestead. Keep aware of this reference to the season in your readings, as this cue may define a timeframe in your readings (i.e., auspicious dates for new projects, weddings, partnerships, home purchases, etc). The idea of those poles "staking our claim" on the richness that is inherent within, and available to all. The energy of number four suggests claiming our foundational heritage and solidifying our personal proclamations in the matter of house and home. The four of wands Tarot card meaning also deals with openings and gateways. We can step right through the makeshift bower, and in so doing we step into the party, move into the mix, and embrace the virile power the 'summer season' of our life. You are enjoying pleasure and prosperity—finances are good and harmony with environment is also good. Time to celebrate… it may represent marriage; a very positive card. Reversed: Celebration is quiet.

Blue: The color blue is symbolic of expression and communication, especially in the form of speech; blue is a hue dealing with enunciating our "true blue" passions—effective communication. All the rods are merely making contact with other rods. This gives us the impression of defense; passionate defending of ideas and opinions - but no life-threatening damage. When the five of wands places its way into our reading a meeting of the minds is key. Although potentially unpleasant, it will likely lead to a creative outlet in which all parties hammer out a phenomenal, unified idea. The green grass underfoot indicates the fertile soil of ingenuity and inspiration as the base of the subject in a reading. In spite of all that potential, the five of wands reflects an outcry for: Strong leadership in a group of (sometimes unruly) people and/or thoughts. This is going to be in a spiritual or artistic setting, and these environments tend to bee loose and amoebic without strong guidance. Organization of ideas, people, thoughts, purpose, vision and/or opinion. This card may also indicate that you have a lot of different personalities; it also signals a lot of erratic energy flailing all over the place, and invites the reader to get hold of it with a goal to obtain order. Maintain passion without squelching the fire. With so much enthusiasm and heated debate over the subject, it can be hard to organize and lead without sucking all the fun out of the group. Remember, the rods are tapping against each other, not pummeling or injuring. Find temperance. Find common ground. We can maintain that enthusiasm by finding commonalities in ideas and perspectives. This is it he catalyst for the success of the group (whether it be a group of people, or a collection of ideas we may have). Moreover, this card indicates new factors moving the situation are demanding you to change, adapt, and grow; life is not as easy as it was. New competition has moved into the neighborhood. More effort is needed--depending on the rest of the reading, you’ll either suffer hardship and loss or go on to greater heights. Changing your ego is important. This card shows chaos, petty problems concerning what you wish to do… you are stretching yourself beyond comfort level. Reversed: Challenge yourself in order to change and adapt to different and difficult circumstances. New competition may be cut-throat, even dishonest or underhanded. There could be litigation to resolve disputes over contracts and such like… public image may suffer. Reversed also indicates playing it safe, may pass opportunity.

Horse: Featured on all the knight cards of the Tarot, the horse symbol meanings deal with strength, motion, action, and vitality. In the six of wands, we may also be "sitting on our high horse," placing pride too high on our list of priorities. Wreath: Typically wreaths of laurel are depicted on cards suggesting accomplishment or choosing high ideals over trivialities. With its bold messages of triumph and victory, the six of wands Tarot card meaning also hints admonishment at loosing sight of our vision in the midst of our successes. Clearly, we've ascended the conflicting din expressed in the five of wands, and mounted a sure footed campaign. Further, that campaign is met with the support from the majority, and the card indicates our cause (along with our confidence) is greatly bolstered as we swagger into our purpose in full pomp and regalia. The six of wands reflects this kind of cocky scenario with its use of specific imagery. To touch on these symbolic images and to elaborate: Horse: The horse more importantly, is a magnificently intelligent beast and arguably the single-most influential contributor in mankind's civilization. Why? Because of a unique companionship required between man and nature to facilitate results, productivity and forward motion. The horse invites us to consider this concept of facilitation and partnership as we dwell on the six of wands Tarot card meaning in our readings. Eyes: The subtle use of "eye-language" in this card is essential. You can't mistake the hint of distain in the horse's sideways glance at his rider. We can almost hear the horse saying "I can't believe these people are cheering for this putz." We get the sense of knowing only half the story of the hero's ascent to this victorious celebration. If the eyes are indeed the messengers of the soul, we have to ask ourselves: Can we keep our eyes affixed on the nobility of our cause without succumbing to the trappings of fame and adoration? Or, is the rider shading his eyes because of compromises in integrity on the way to achievement? Hands: Note the right hand (symbolic of action) firmly grips one of the six rods. This is iconic of acting on a singular creative idea. Which is fine, we've worked our way through the suit of wands to come to this singular focus. But what's the left (passive, intuitive) hand doing? It's left ominously understated and often not depicted at all in many decks. The Waite version shows the left hand leading the horse, which would be counter-intuitive (an active hand would be used for navigation, and the intuitive hand would lend faith to see creative passions to their reality). When the left hand is omitted from imagery altogether we have real problems. It suggests neglect in factoring in the intangibles of faith and belief in reaching our goals. Obvious message of triumph in the card. However, these details will come to bear relevance in future cards as we see a possible backfire in the seven of rods. In short, the six of wands encourages our exuberance as we meet with support and accolades in our creative vision. We'll just want to be aware of potential diverging thoughts in our readings so we may steer our horse back to our? True north? If the occassion merits. Victory is at hand—you feel secured. You brought your affairs to a point of success—gifts may be received, awards, and recognition. Enjoying success and admiration. Questions to illuminate our understanding of the six of wands Tarot card meaning: Positive recognition from others is great, but am I still letting my inner voice take the lead in my decisions? Am I prepared for the responsibility this public success and exposure implies? Reversed: All hopes and wishes you have for your success are being delayed often by factors over which you have no control. You are feeling frustrated and angry. You are challenged by circumstance—you may have experienced some kind of betrayal that has caused you to re-evaluate your self image.

In the previous card, it was hinted at the possibility of diverging thoughts looming in future cards that threaten to topple a "high horse" mentality. The seven of wands validates that supposition by conveying a feel of defensiveness at having fallen in the opinion of others or self. The good news is the fall isn't so far down. Our hero in the seven of wands is still sure-footed on higher ground as indicated by his stance on a cliff. And, prospects for regaining a following for our creative/spiritual campaign are still ample as indicated by clear, bright blue skies. The key is effective communication with a quality of transparency that allows our peers to see our genuine and honest intent. In a reading, the seven of wands Tarot card meaning points to a need to make a stand and defend our position in our cause. Recall that wands are the initiators in the spectrum of human saga. At this point, we've initiated action in the pursuits of our passion. Now is the time we might have to sweat a little to convince our target audience about the validity of our objective. To be sure, the suit of wands declares the argument in our defense will require honesty, courage and high enthusiasm. The card signals a green light to take action in voicing our passion's message, but with a note of caution: Action taken from an over-emotional state may cause slippage from our high vantage. Defiance is quite different from a stance of healthy defense. A card of profit and gain after some determined holding off of competition and enemies. You are discovering inner resources you hardly suspect you had and putting them to good use. Thus, you have the advantage and will eventually achieve success by sheer force of will and personality. Striving to stand your ground and maintain your work, yet unsure of your action. Reversed: A time of confusion- you don’t know whether on or back off; hesitates loses… firm and indecision are vital. Trying to hard to please—giving your authority away… letting others interfere with your aims.

Clouds: Clouds hold the symbol meaning of revelation. Consider out of the mists of our deepest thoughts suddenly an epiphany comes; a bright idea comes out from nowhere. Rivers, Streams, Waterfalls: Water is a symbol of emotion and the subconscious. Therefore, waterfalls deal with the constant running and flowing movement of our emotions and the stirring movements of our deeper minds. Observing the nature of rivers and waterfalls, we see they typically move at such a rushing speed that they tend to take everything with them in their path - rocks, trees, any debris in the midst of water's dominant path is subject to its pull. In the eight of wands Tarot card meaning, we are called to submit to that dominant pull and higher purpose.Drop: Hunker down deep into the recesses of your soul and rest in silence. Drop your consciousness into the endless, timeless nature that is both beginning and end. Those of you who meditate know what I mean by this. Dive deep into the well that is the Absolute and Infinite. Why? Because that is where we receive our next instruction; our next call to action. Roll: If we've stopped and dropped, we now know in what direction to roll. And, odds are, we'll be divinely guided to roll in the path of least resistance, leading to our best interests. Those tranquil waters running through the eight of wands indicate our best action is surrender to the pull of a higher current. It's a faith thing. To summarize, the eight of wands Tarot card meaning is a big comma in the long sentence of our life. Take a breather, and wait for the next paragraph to write itself on the pages of your epic autobiography. This card can indicate that you do not know where you are going; it can also suggest that you do not know who your true friends are. Examination, interior disputes, misunderstanding, regrets, interior agitation, scruples, doubt, repentance, etc. But on the other hand it is brought into connection with everything that has to do with country life, the fields, gardens, woods, etc. Also: pleasure, amusement, enjoyment, recreation. Quite apart from all this: an express messenger, the arrows of love or the arrows of jealousy. "Great haste, great hope, speed towards an end, which promises assured felicity." Side-note: The rods in this card can serve as an arrow. Pay special attention to the neighboring card at which the "arrows" are pointing. This card often works in conjunction with another, pointing out a need to take a sober look at an issue surfacing in your reading. There’s also a clear, intuitive hits about ecological matters with this card. Other than the miniscule house in the background (which plays into the concept of tending to our Earth home), the absence of human influence in the card beckons the intuitive mind to consider our environment, ecology, bio-friendliness, and other hot ?Green? Topics we face in our world today. Your arrows are heading right to the spot where you aimed. Time for action into the next phase. It may involve travel, landings and taking off again, busy moving fast; letting go of the things no longer felt and go with the one’s best. A card of transition and new possibilities; cannot last long. Exciting and fast paced. Reversed: Movement may be unwanted and unpleasant. Go with the flow. Today’s unpleasantness may be tomorrow’s celebration. Relationships may suffer: Marriage, partnership, family. You may be required to reprioritize your schedule to accommodate other people’s needs.

The nine of wands has a stoic, stern quality to it. The set jaw of our hero denotes a true grit lacking in the previous cards. The bandages indicate the wounds of hard knocks; the brow is beaten, but the hero is certainly far from defeated. On the contrary, our figure is stalwart and determined in his last stand to defend his freedom of creative expression. The erect rods at his back symbolize his virtuous ideals have held strong and true. They may also symbolize his supporters who have stood behind him through the battles along the way. Further, those rods indicate an impenetrable force of standards and a level of integrity that will not allow corruption. Still standing on higher ground, our hero also finds himself on a smooth, steady foundation. No emotional over reacting, and no question as to his objective. No more diverging thoughts, and no more short cuts. Our figure been down that road, and has no further need for the tang of disappointment that route offers. *This card totally means you don’t know who your friends and enemies are; you are ignorant to what’s around you. It can indicate obstacle, delay, suspense, adversity, slowness, contrariety, calamity, misfortune, trouble." The card signifies strength in opposition. If attacked he will meet the onslaught boldly." Moreover, this card also indicates power in solidarity (of thought and community). When we see the nine of wands in our readings we've committed to our cause and are prepared to honor it with remarkable courage. At this point, we've invested mammoth amounts of energy in our dreams and our self-development, there is no retreating now. The flames of the wands (i.e., our burning desires) have been lit, flickered, faltered, extinguished and are now rekindled - blazing with more ferocity than ever before. It’s interesting to note how the hero is facing east in the card. Iconically, eastward directions salute new beginnings as the dawn of a new day rises with the sun. These references reinforce a renewed determination in wherewithal and wit. Also pay attention to the other cards in the spread. You will notice our nine of wands hero might be looking eastwardly to another card that may lend more meaning to the reading. In the journey of wands, a cause was taken up with youthful verve. Winding to the end of our journey we have become a dauntless patriot, staunch in our firm believe that we shall surpass all odds to drive our cause to its conclusion. Furthermore, it indicates job is done—you’ve planned well and wisely. You are moving forward with a sense of purpose and direction. If opposition, you’ll prevail over opponents. Persistent questions the nine of wands asks us: Am I prepared to carry our task to its final conclusion? Do I need to call for further reinforcements? What have I learned from previous challenges that can serve me now? Am I willing to stand firm in my beliefs? Reversed: Fighting a losing battle; time to get out and learn the lessons of failure. Learn your strength; don’t get locked into a static self-image that will draw you no good. A danger of willing actions and decisions because you haven’t evaluated and planned. IP: Logged |

The ten of wands feels a little anticlimactic after journeying through often heroic footsteps in the suit of wands. And that's unfortunate because we've learned so much as in the journeyed through the rods. But the tell-tale signs of dejection linger in the body language found in the ten of wands card. Note the down-cast eyes of our figurehead. He can't even see the horizon of his dreams. Indeed, the wands are blocking his vision; symbolic of allowing the throes of his passion to completely blind him from his path. His back is turned, which suggests reflecting on past actions, or even a movement of retreat. However, he moves to the homestead. We could intuit this for ourselves to mean a time to regroup or collect ourselves and find our center within the whirlwind. On the subject of collecting ourselves, the body language seen holding all the wands together is symbolic of harvest and/or girding the loins as we continue on our path. When those ten wands waggle before our sight in a reading, it may indicate a time to gather up our lessons and recollect ourselves for the next phase life offers us. ***Too many burdens; trying to take the world by yourself. Moreover, labor may have gone naught, or you may be carrying burdens that really don’t belong to you. Make sure others are doing their fair share. Ask for help when needed—do not let pride stand in your way. This man may be a workaholic overwhelmed by the weight of too many responsibilities and commitment. Console yourself that because this card is ten, the fruition--the burdens cannot increase. In essence, you are dealing with everyone’s welfare. Reversed: Burden is lifted—A feeling of freedom… you are dealing to delegate responsibility. Depending on the surrounding cards, you may need a recovery period. Letting go of responsibilities that aren’t yours—letting others shoulder their own responsibility.

Feather: Symbolic meaning of feathers deal with higher thought. They may also point to ascension and spiritual evolution to a higher plane. Feathers were worn by the page of wands symbolizes communication with spirit energies, and expresses intuitive wisdom. Literally, we can recall the adage of "quite a feather in his/her cap" which means an accomplishment or success that looks very well on one's record or puts one in high standing. As the ever-restless, the Page of Wands loves new places, the more exotic the better. The Page of Wands makes an excellent travel companion because he or she will open your eyes to new avenues of intrigue and delight. When shown in your cards, consider him or her a muse. The page of wands delivers messages from foreign realms, and will smile while watching you decrypt his or her news with your logical mind (because the page of wands is encouraging you to decipher his or her speeches with your creative mind). Nevertheless, the page of wands sharpens your mind with prompts of imagination and humor. When you see this page in the cards, get ready to have the fires of your higher creativity flair back to life. Furthermore, the page of wands indicates a message of importance to your current project or situation, usually affecting work with positive information. If representing a person in your life, a will come from a younger relative, friend, or a younger person eager to experience work—The Page is an eager beaver related to international travels, meetings with foreigners and philosophic interests. It can denote a chance for advancement; doing the ground work and creative youth. The Tarot meaning of Pages have a special place in my perception because these are the dreamers of the Royal family. Pages always have their ears perked up, listening for oracles of the universe. They hear messages no one else in the Royal family can, and they deliver these messages to us through our Tarot readings. Pages capture the essence of transition, and they can tell us how to smoothly move through changes they often foretell in the cards. Tarot meaning of Pages will vary according to the suit from which they hail. Pages of the Tarot inspire us to think outside non-linear terms. Because they are receivers of unorthodox data, they serve as the muse in our lives. They can facilitate impressive enlightenment to our perceptions - if only we open ourselves to heed their calling. Moreover, Pages have a playful spirit about them. Reminiscent of simplicity, and almost childlike qualities, the Page holds no threat or harm. These archetypes give loving service, with generosity equal to our willingness to interact with their presence. For example: The land of wands caters to our awareness of spirituality, inspiration and social settings. The page of wands thrives in this realm, and will wave grand brush strokes of creativity and ideas for using your deeper spirit to communicate higher meaning to all those in your sphere of influence. Reversed: News of delay can cause trouble. The message can be unwelcome news. If a person, not to be trusted, bringing false and misleading information… be on guard, betrays your ideals.

Armor: The symbolic meanings of armor deal with protection, preparation, and strength. Most Tarot deck renditions depict all the knights in full armor (knights typically represents action and strength). The armor indicates a need to protect ourselves when engaging in activities referenced in a reading. The Knight of Wands, is a double fire. His family crest is the fire of wands, and his station as knight also corresponds with fire. He always want to bust out and conquer, or devour new territory. His bright auburn hair is a physical trait of his passion, and nobody can resist his crisp, emerald eyes; he may have sharp features, pointy nose and jawbone. He has no problems courting and wooing because he has striking looks and charming words. In fact, he tends to have a silver tongue and a remarkable gift for persuasion. When it appears in the cards, The Knight of Wands is going to shake you up. He will make you move, and want to shift you into a new paradigm. Just pay attention to where he’s taking you because there is no telling where you will end up on the trail. Knights are messengers, and the Knight of Wands is bringing good news concerning work or social activities; perhaps a happy event, a vacation, change of residence or job. If representing a specific person, it refers to a young man who is a relative or friend with the same qualities as the king and queen…can be trusted and is faithful. It indicates the path ahead is clear for dynamic action—a sexual explorer who may not be serious about commitment—full force to their problems. These cards are archetypal of motion. These are the personalities who carry out the task of battle on the front lines. They are the right arm of the law for the kingdom. They facilitate law, order and execution. Knights are about forward motion, high spirit, drive, determination and almost wreck less demand for compliance. Knights need their environment to bow to their will. They aren't quite mature enough to know not everything crumples to the application of force. Kings know this, and that's why they're kings. Queens know how to make situations and people yield to her will too, but she certainly does not use force as the Knight does. The role of the horse is part and parcel with the Knight persona. The horse in the knight cards speaks to us about strength, ignition and mobility. Further meanings of the knight will be wrought from the suit within which he lives. For example: The land of wands caters to our awareness of spirituality, inspiration and social settings. The knight of wands struggles to find temperance between his hot-blooded nature and his philosophical, creative urges. Reversed: None of the wands reversed are particularly negative, but this card reversed can indicate a delay in a message or communication you have been expecting. Example: check delay; a trip may be cancelled because of bad weather; or an engagement or wedding postponed, or even broken off. Reversed betokens separation.

Cats deal with watchfulness, awareness, and perception. Shown on the queen of wands card, the cat is a message that there are energies at work that we may not be aware of, but we can certainly tap into. Cats are also a symbol of psychic ability. In a reading, the queen and her cat will make a point that the querent must keep his/her poise (keep your wits about you) and be aware of all sides to the story in the situation relating to the card reading. Lion: Signifying one of the four fixed signs of the zodiac, lion symbol meanings deal with strength, courage, royalty, and protection. Sunflower: If you've ever observed this happy flower, you've noticed that its head always looks to the sun. This is the message of the sunflower "always look to the light" for the answers and guidance you seek. When the sunflower nods at us in a reading it is time to look away from the dark (negativity) and look to the light (positive) side of things. It sounds cliche, but keeping on the "sunny side" as the sunflower does assures a more sunny disposition. Her beauty is legendary, and she realizes her attractiveness is part of her effectiveness. She can have strawberry blonde hair, typical of my fiery clan, and her eyes are like cat's eyes: Amber, wide, and magical. It's more than her nobility that gives her a presence of refinement and stature. Rather, her natural objectivity, grace, balance allows her to move with quiet, elegant confidence. To add: She is a woman in a position of authority and likes to shine in her endeavors; she is a lioness in her personality… warm, lovely, intelligent, and friendly. A good money manager, and good to move forward. *Note: This is considered to be a card of witchcraft (depending on the surrounding cards) Witchcraft may be cast upon you; she is a powerful woman; she has a cat in front of her. At the Shamanic and magical level, this is the card of the shaman/sorceress with her spells, charms, and enchantments, chants and incantations. She also represents the fiery, destructive, and predatory forces of Nature, which are necessary to thin or decrease excessive growth. A cautionary warning to be careful in any business that deals with a woman—be aware of deception, greed, and jealousy. Tarot meaning of Queens are similar to King meanings. Queens are just as commanding, authoritative and strikingly intense in their ruling authority as Kings. However, there is one massive departure in queen persona: One) She is feminine, and therefore subtle in her reign. That said, further queenly qualities take on more meaning according to the "queendom" (the queens domain or suit) in which the queen resides. For example, the queendom of wands caters to our awareness of spirituality, inspiration and social settings. Ergo, the queen of wands will be the belle of the ball, socializing with us about deeper personal connections, intuiting spiritual connections and she will conjure our creative juices to flow. Reversed: A powerful woman who demands control over your affairs in return for her advice and financial assistance, a controlling situation to her own advantage. If not representing an actual person, the reversed card is a cautionary warning to be careful in any business that deals with a woman—be aware of deception, greed, and jealousy.

Lizard: With symbol meanings of renewal, vision, enlightenment, and rebirth, the lizard makes its appearance on the male court cards in the suit of rods. The lizard (or salamander in some renditions) suns itself on these cards to signify the importance of vision in the midst of action. In fact, in ancient times (particularly in alchemical lore), it was believed that the lizard renewed its sight by looking into the sun. A symbol of demure perspective in the face of monumental physical force - the lizard is a tiny reminder that big results come from small, conscious efforts. When the lion roars at us in the cards we are encouraged to consider the level of our courage His eyes are fixed on the western skies as he is always looking for accomplishment in his endeavors. As the King of Wands, he always has the final word… he emphasizes his authority with passion, generosity and honesty. His appearance belies his aristocracy because his looks are quite average. Indeed, in regular dress he can blend in among the common people. He often has reddish-brown hair, a strong jaw, and tends to be burley and ox'ish in his build. His eyes are his most telling feature. Changing from greenish to copper depending on his mood, his eyes are soulful and deep. They express his penchant for honesty and bright thought. When the King of Wands shows up in your cards, he is the authority figure that encourages innovative, entrepreneurial leadership. The kind of leadership that is uncompromising in honesty. He will encourage you to take the righteous route to your goals, and lead with the highest intent and equally high moral standard. Honesty, creativity and soulful purpose are his watchwords. In addition, this card represents a man of status, wealth and influential; an independent person inclined to help. He may be a boss or mentor, a senior business partner or advisor. You can rely on his honesty, intelligence, and fair-mindness—if not a person, it can refer to a situation. He indicates that good fortune is coming your way—perhaps unexpectedly… unexpected good news; a promo or inheritance. Represents the best of all aspects of the feeling function—wands is brave, enthusiastic, and dominant. The king’s qualities will take on more meaning according to the kingdom (or suit) the king resides. For example, the kingdom of wands waves magic to our awareness and deals with creativity, spirituality, inspiration and social connections. The king of wands will knowingly guide you in these areas. Reversed: Delays in business, projects. This man will not go out of his way to help; will not back your efforts… he is bitter and resentful.

Hand: We see this symbol in all the aces, and in each one the hand represent a slightly different meaning. In the case of pentacles, the hand is symbolic of generosity. It is a reminder that in order to get what we want (in this case: wealth, job opportunities, health, material gain) we must also give. The hand symbol meaning in this cars is a strong reminder that we must be givers and not all takers. To only receive without giving is a violation of natural law, and may be our demise. This card is an incredible encouragement in a reading when we are hoping for signs of improved finances and promotions on the job. In matters of love and relationships, the ace of pentacles Tarot card meaning indicates stability, increased trust, and new/stronger bonds made in an existing relationship. This card calls the loudest to investors, planners, teachers, those with health issues, as well as those who are looking to turn over a new leaf in their lives. For these people, this card should represent big victories coming their way. Although material abundance and positive health may come to us from unexpected sources and with unexpected timing, we can be 100% sure there was something we did to spark the gift of abundance in the first place. The ace of pentacles Tarot card meaning reminds us that we are human, and sometimes it takes work to get what we want. This card also reminds us that we must be flexible and keep ourselves in a positive state of allowing in order to receive the material gifts available to us. In addition, this card is an extremely positive card, predicting success for some new enterprise you are starting—you are planting the seeds—prosperity coming toward you… it denotes being open to receive. It represents a new path that opens up promising success. Perhaps indicating a pregnancy. Reversed: Adventure is still in the idea stage. It’s coming, but being delayed and you must be patient and not be discouraged… could indicate lack of prosperity; a miscarriage.

Lemniscate: The lemniscate (also known as the infinity symbol) is a geometrical representation of the endless and eternal nature of energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it simply continues on forever in motion. The symbol meanings of this emblem serve to remind us of the infinite nature of our spirit, as well as our thoughts. When this symbol comes to our attention it may be a message that we should consider the consequences of our thoughts and deeds - the effects of which can be infinite. Ship: ship symbol meanings deal with travel and journey's. However a commonly overlooked factor is the medium upon which they sail - water - it deals with the deeper levels of the psyche and the subconscious. When Ships sail across your vision in a reading, take into consideration where your thoughts (psyche) are traveling - what kind of baggage (cargo) are you carrying around, and are you charting (navigating) out the best course for your thoughts and emotions? At the heart of the Two of Pentacles is the feeling of flexibility. Pentacles represent the element of earth. Within this suit's realm, our attention is drawn to grounding effects, and matters of a physical nature. However, this card purposefully reveals an ethereal quality. We see this in the woozy water waves that undulate in the background the card. Further, we see the prominent lemniscate (infinity symbol) wrapped around each of the Pentacles. The physicality of Pentacles (stability, earth) juxtaposed with the more intangibles of water and the infinite is a clear message of combination and unification on an energetic level. This card indicates balance, turmoil. When the 2 of Pentacles shows up in a reading, it is a calling to: Strike a balance, travel beyond the conventional to reach your goals; consider the infinite channels of energy that provide you well-being; root yourself in your mission statement while trusting in the flow of your higher purpose to transport you. These points are the cause for that pensive look on our character's face in the Two of Pentacles card. He is contemplating the vehicles that will move him to his greatest, most balanced, and longest lasting reward. Message in money, probably in written form. Deciding which of two options to choose. You are concerned with issues of abundance and may be holding down more than one job. Time to make a choice. Money from two sources. Being overly busy… perhaps two wishes in his life. Reversed: May be haring financial difficulties while pretending is all good (well). Juggling sources of income but options for change. Not the right time for change until the moment presents itself. Overcome doubt and worry—juggling to meet ends meet.

Arch: Arches are sym\bolic of openings, passage-ways, and initiations. There’s a church... two men, one is a priest and the other in a secular cape, present plants to a third man, who appears to be an artist carving on image or a design in the stone wall; we see a medieval artisan at work in a church. When the Three of Pentacles hammers its way into our readings, we may be superficially impressed with the concepts of work, which leads us to the logical conclusion that the card speaks of vocation, employment (often new contracts or commissions offered to the querent for the employ of his/her skill). These intimations are all very true, but tunneling deeper into the card we find ourselves within the chambers of primitive, raw creativity. By the sweat of our soul we produce some of our greatest masterpieces, and the figure in the Three of Pentacles beats out his vision by good, old-fashioned physical labor. Integration. The number Three (particularly when seated in the visual concept of the triangle) reminds us to integrate foundational strengths and funnel them into a primary focus to create something altogether new, expansive and glorious. Your whole being is needed for this work, an engagement of all of your energies. There is also the idea of work as a doorway to “self-development.” We have to remember here that money is nothing of itself, but it is something that we use as we make many of life’s choices. Work is one step away from money. But work requires our most valuable resource – time. So, time, work, money are related. ***A card about faith; this card indicates that you are losing your faith and you don’t trust in yourself. The element of danger may be present, depending on the surrounding cards. A danger of trusting… someone is making you lose your faith. Simply seems to imply the absence of the better qualities: weakness, humility, vile and abject action, etc. It can also mean acquiring marketing skills, preparing yourself for action. Maybe a recent graduate, or have gone to school to upgrade your skills or change career. Interested in a specific trade or business—can anticipate a rise in prestige and earnings, perhaps from an established organization… in essence, you have developed skill and profession. A final thought on this card: Remember the rule of integration. Drive to higher achievement - but don't do so brutishly - allow the finesse of your artistry to temper your creation as you chisel your way to your goals. Reversed: Not using the acquired new skills you need. Today’s changing market, without action is invalid…. Perhaps skills are sloppy, need to improve skills.

City/Village: Cities and villages represent centers or gatherings of people, thoughts, energy and ideas. They are a symbol of the culmination of a group that meets for a common goal. They also symbolize protection, harmony, and team-work. When you notice the cities/villages in a reading it indicates a group effort is required, or the querent must tap into some energy centers or thought centers to accomplish what he/she must. Line up each suit in chronological order and you'll get a story. To get a better story of the four of pentacles we back up one chapter. The third pentacle card points out our tremendous commitment to hard work at our craft and/or forging our will. In fact, we worked so hard that we've manifested some pretty lucrative rewards. The four of pentacles reflects our success and just rewards for all our efforts. At last, we are in the money, in the pink, high on the hill. What's more, we have only ourselves and our own ingenuity to thank for our success. Or do we? Our hero isn't smiling, and there's a sense of isolation from community in the card. It's a common trap that many well-meaning, ambitious entrepreneurs or hard-focused individuals fall into. To be successful, we often need to put blinders on and focus on only the path that leads to results. There's nothing wrong with this, as long as we don't neglect the community we support, and who supports us in return. In the three of pentacles, we see open communication with that community but somewhere along the way we closed off that correspondence. Ideally, our motivations for success include the well-being of everyone involved. But during months and years of hardnosed focus on the prize, sometimes we lose sight of the needs of the tribe. When the four of pentacles comes up in a reading we know we've been stingy with our time, or money, and our presence in the lives of those around us. No need to have guilt; it happens. The figure is hoarding his pentacles overmuch, and is excluding other persons. You get a sense of security and strength at all levels of being. We all need order in our lives but sometimes it can be too rigid. Just break the wall of isolation and get the flow going again in your life by giving equal or more than what you've received. Remember, this is an inclusive universe. By giving openly, honestly, you're insuring your perpetual gain. This card can, moreover, indicate that money is coming into your life. Also, you are hanging on to something, either possessions or a situation. Maybe fear of change, or simply comfortable where you are. But change is part and parcel of life and acceptance is needed. His attitude has made him an outcast… also, perhaps a desire for material security. Reversed: You may be trying to make something happen prematurely or holding on too tightly to current circumstances—maybe quarreling with someone over money, such as divorce proceedings. Not planning well; easily distracted. IP: Logged |

Stained Glass: Stained glass is symbolic of perception and how our vision (mental, physical and spiritual) can change according to our perception and beliefs. The art of staining glass reaches back to ancient alchemy when certain compounds (i.e.: antimony windows) were mixed with glass to bring about transformational effects upon the viewer. When you are looking through the stained glass windows of a reading, it's a sign to begin getting honest about your perception of the situation. Are you seeing things clearly? Snow: Featured on the 5 of Pentacles, we can derive from this imagery that snow symbol meanings deal with being "out in the cold," isolation, and exposure to harsh conditions. However, anyone who has stepped outside just after a fresh snow can tell you the beauty is stunning. Clean, crystally, and quiet. These are also symbolic qualities of snow. When the flakes fall on your eyes in a reading, keep in mind the snow is needed in order to have spring flowers. Also remember that tribulation is a matter of perspective - we can either see the snow as isolation or we can see it as a fresh clean blanket - waiting for us to make a few snow angels in it. The theme of pilgrimage can be easily inferred in the five of pentacles Tarot card meaning (Webster defines pilgrimage as: "a long journey taken as an act of faith or devotion"). It is clear the figures in the card are downtrodden, but certainly not beaten. They endeavor. They find the internal fortitude to persist in their journey. To what are they driven? Why, against seemingly all odds, do they persist in their quest? Here are some ideas as to why they endeavor: The promise of security, the ideal of acceptance; the hope of better days ahead; the belief their efforts will be rewarded. When the five of pentacles shows up in our readings, in some fashion we are encountering the darkest before our personal dawn. This card beckons us to screw our courage to the sticking place and persist in following our anchoring beliefs. The card further urges us to bolster ourselves in the midst of what's likely to be a tremendously troublesome environment. The conditions we find ourselves in when pulling this card are potentially wicked, and they bite hard at our backs. Lack of money and poor health are cruel enough to darken the heart. But, perhaps the cruelest cut of all is ridicule or rejection from others who would (traditionally) be considered compassionate to us and our cause (i.e., the church, our family and friends). Indeed, we see evidence of this latter scenario in the card as the figures are often depicted as outcast from what looks to be an orthodox establishment, like a church or synagogue. As an example of popular belief: The story of Mary and Joseph indicates their enduring hardship because their situation was unacceptable to the established normalcy of their time. The five of pentacles in a reading may indicate we too are moving to the rhythm of a dance that is not any part of the status quo. This heretical dancing often wreaks fear in conventional, sheep-like mentality (hearken back to my shepherds hook reference). Agreed, rebels aren't as quick to be stoned these days, but can certainly be subject to some painful criticism. Even from people and organizations who are supposed to be in a position of support and love. Be that as it may, this is the time our strength must be derived solely from our innermost founding faith. Resist the temptation to succumb. Drive on and continue following that bright North Star to the promise land affixed in the eyes of your soul. Some helpful questions pertaining to the five of pentacles Tarot card meaning: What could I do differently to make the journey less arduous? Am I still committed to my foundational faith and vision? If so, how can I strengthen that commitment and reaffirm my faith? What are some ways I can enhance my self-confidence? Are there people who share my plight that I can help along the way? Do I feel I have to suffer for my cause? Why? How do I feel about being socially accepted? Why? Why do I care about other people's perception of me? ***You are losing your faith; you are on the outside of the church, not on the inside. Seeking spiritual direction in a time of despair; it may be that you need to put your trust and faith back in God. Negative connotation—financial losses, business problems, money may soon be tight. Not good investments; a grant or support you you’d counted on won’t be forthcoming. Represents poverty and exclusion—a weak self-esteem; losing a job. It foretells material trouble above all. The five of Pentacles speaks of financial loss and despair. It can literally represent a period of unemployment, and given the right surrounding cards could represent homelessness. At best, financial insecurity might be a good phrase. There is an element or feeling of being on the outside looking in, as it were; the five cards tend to be heavy cards in a general sense. Reversed: Advised to get your house in order financially—cut your losses to avoid further deterioration on finances. If in debt, clear out; don’t risk investment, be careful.

Hand: Power, protection, the act of proffering as well as obtaining all come time mind in the use of hand symbolism in the Tarot. Hands are historically seen as points of transmission, meaning we give and receive from hands (energetically and physically). It's no accident that the powerful ace cards are all depicted with a hand holding the suit symbol. This is a clear message of force and power relating to the indicated suit. It is also a reminder that we are able to both give and receive those attributes pertaining to the referring suit. Scale: As one would guess, scale symbol meanings deal with of equality and balance. It is a perfect visual measure when something is "out of whack." The scale in all its precision shows us which part of our life is out of balance - when the scale is tipped more to one side we know we need to take some corrective action. Notice the activity of the hands in the six of pentacles. We can easily grasp the message of giving and receiving in the card as we observe these hands.. Note the right hand (both in Rider-Waite and Morgan-Greer versions far right and center images respectively). The right hand of our hero formed into the Kubera mudra. Mudras are symbolic hand expressions born from Hindu and Buddhist cultures. Shapes made from hands hold specific symbolism and are used to convey special meaning in cultural art and history. Pay attention next time you observe Hindu or Buddhist illustrations of their deities - you'll see their hands are depicted in very specific positions. These are purposeful, and those positions hold symbolic meaning. The Kubera mudra symbolizes wealth. Indeed, Kuber is a Hindu god of wealth. Mudra practitioners mimic this hand position (index finger and middle finger pressed against the thumb with ring finger and pinky finger retracted) as means of signaling their allowance of wealth and abundance in their lives. Also noteworthy, is this mudra stimulates the root chakra the seat of primal life force and physical well-being. Of course, it takes more than a hand position to tap the flow of wealth into our lives, and the six of pentacles indicates a need for balance, good judgment and prudence as well. The element of balance is emphasized as we see recurring themes in the scales, as well as two sycophants - one on either side of the merchant. Further, the number six underscores the theme of balance. Note the triad of suspension wires on each side holding the weighing platforms. This indicates the creative power of threes in both light and dark sectors of life. Together they form a perfect creative balance embodied in the number six. When the six of pentacles shows up in our readings we can consider our own balances. Moreover, we might consider our physical position and how we may purposefully place ourselves in positions better suited for giving and receiving. That's why I like the mudra analogy so much. It expresses a purposeful intent to stimulate a response from our environment. There’s good coming to you in this time, materially; perhaps even contributing financially; experience of abundance, prosperity and personal gratification. Past financial problems solved… you are helping others: giving and receiving. Reversed: You need recouping after a period of loss and confusion. You want to help, but cannot and it makes you unhappy. Decrease in prosperity and success.

Hoe: This is a tool, and as such its symbolism deals with work, resourcefulness, accomplishment. But the hoe is also a message telling us we can make our way easier by using the resources (tools) that are available to us. The hoe is also connected to the old adage "what we sew so shall we reap." When the hoe pops out at us in the seven of pentacles we might do well to consider what kind of sewing we are doing and how we are utilizing our resources (are we doing things the hard way, or should we recruit some help). The seven of pentacles indicates we've followed through with our intentions. Now is a time of purveyance. The magic of manifestation has taken root; our triumph grows with Amazonian fervor. It's not really magic though. We know our toil and focus created the physical product - our lush, lavish rewards. Indeed, the presence of the seven of pentacles in a reading typically comes after a time of back-breaking endeavor. We'll often see confirmation of this in supporting cards, indicating health or financial ruin. That ruin inevitably caused our re-commitment to commanding our focus on shifting our inner landscape to create a mutually satisfying outer experience. “We did it… We hunkered down and now reap the harvest of the heart.“ This card indicates a time for reflection and appreciation. It's time to recognize the triumph. Time to savor the accomplishments we've earned. Moreover, the seven of pentacles urges us to re-evaluate our position. How so? In Business: Revisit our Mission Statement; reevaluate the use of our resources; take a hard look at consumer opinions. In Finance: Reexamine retirement, investment or savings plans; take a second look at personal spending habits. In Health: Reconsider our current diet; check in with our bodies confirming optimal performance; ask deeply and inwardly about current health status; observe responses. Just check in. This is what the seven of pentacles Tarot card meaning signifies. Tapping into the ground roots that anchored themselves according to our will. We may find, after tapping in, that no changes need to be made. Contrarily, we may discover our objectives have changed (as often happens during growth). It may be time to adjust our vision. Foremost, the seven of pentacles asks us to be easy with our observations. This is a time of savoring and enjoying the sweetness we've allowed into our lives. Looking over our bounty with a scrutinizing or criticizing eye is counterproductive. We can choose to be easy with the natural flow of our evolution. In this manner, if we detect a call for change, it can be implemented in a smooth, organic fashion. You’ve put time and effort, and paid your dues… now you’ll gain; you also feel great satisfaction… good fortune well earned… you are working for your goals. Reversed: Disappointment and financial difficulties. Unwise investment or loan unpaid; a dreamer rather than a doer.

Bench: The bench is symbolic of taking a moment to examine the details. In a reading, benches indicate the querent might need to take some time to examine or savor the situations expressed in the card layout. Hammer: A hammer, or the act of hammering is a sign of getting the point across, or getting the job done. The hammer is also a symbol of force, action, masculinity, and creativity. Typically drawn in matters of vocation, when the hammer catches our eye in a reading it may indicate that we need to get the job done and done well. It may also mean we need to hammer out the details relating to work or a project. Remember those symbolic mountains pointed out in the seven of pentacles? We were aware, even in the midst of our fresh abundance that more hard work was likely looming. The eight of pentacles Tarot card meaning confirms this. You may also recall similarities to this card and the three of pentacles. In the third pentacle, we're testing the structure, finding our creative voice and doing so within an orthodox framework. The eight of pentacles signifies full-out production. No holds, no barriers, no fluff. Here we have found our creative voice, and we are belting out a powerful song of productivity. The intensity and focus represented in this card confirms that our creative axe is honed, and the quality of our craft is at its peek. We've received our commissions, contracts for work have been signed, and there is no shortage of potential growth and gain. All that's left is doing the work. But work at what? It's not so much the occupation, or end-focus of the work, but the execution of it is what is alluding to. The eight of pentacles is encouraging us to work at being remarkable. The presence of this card confirms we've already proven ourselves as worthy of work, health and pentacle-based (material/earth/physical) bounty. Will staying at the same level of quality and productivity ensure our sustained health and wealth? Not any more. This card indicates working—trying to make your achievements; trying to work hard and achieve your goals. He’s a wise man—everything is in front of him. The eight of pentacles Tarot card meaning asks us to raise the bar and consistently enhance our focus on being remarkable. I daresay this card asks what remarkable means to us, and how we can incorporate that element of extraordinary elegance in every action we take to our achievements. This card explains that you are learning new skill or taking up a new career. You are training yourself intensively with a clear goal in mind. New skills and/or old skills you are integrating into a new form. You have tried other ways and now are finalizing. Production and routine; sureness of purpose guarantees success… he is literally making money. Reversed: You have not finished mastering the task of the necessary skills to achieve his/her ambitions. Desire for new, but lacks ambition or clear lack of identifying goals… lacks skills.

Falcon: Throughout culture and myth the falcon symbol meanings have pertained to higher vision, superiority, and rising above the mundane. A common sun symbol among many cultures, the falcon also symbolizes potency, vibrancy and power. When Falcon catches our attention on the nine of pentacles, we are prompted to consider if we are living our lives in-line with our vision. Are we living at our highest potential? The falcon asks us to fly high and blaze the sky with our own brilliance. Snail: Snail symbol meanings deal with steady footing and stability. Snails carry their homes upon their backs which is symbolic of carrying our security in our hearts (security and happiness being an inside job). Not only sure of foot, snails are also symbols of slow (but steady) progress. Featured in the 9 of Pentacles, we understand stability and success do not appear overnight. Rather, success often comes at a snail's pace. The spiral connotation is lovely- that motif found in the shell of the snail. Spirals signify a radiating consciousness, and an inner-centeredness that exudes outwardly. Ideally that brilliant core emits positive change in environment and community. We now come to a spectacular culmination in the nine of pentacles. This card is beautiful for the refinery, class and style it represents. The card indicates we've identified the roots of our passion, trained those roots with constant care so as to produce significant and remarkable gifts of core wisdom, vitality and freedom. The themes of liberation from the conventional are rampant in the nine of pentacles. Note the opulence, the lushness of growth and sensuality. There is no hesitation in embracing the material gifts. There is no question of authority in matters of acumen and skill. No doubts inhibit the natural order and flow of growth and increase. Validating the notion of authority is the presence of the falcon (peacocks in some deck renditions). Falconry has long been the sport of royalty in which falcons and other raptors (like hawks) are trained for hunting purposes. So intense was this activity, that in Medieval times crimes of injuring or stealing prized raptors was punishable by death. Further, the falcon sports keen intellect and inexhaustible focus. This made them ideal for trained hunting events. Their ability to hone in on their target is superior. We can take symbolic cues from this in the nine of pentacles Tarot card meaning. When this regal bird waves its plumage to our psychic eyes it indicates we have engaged in focusing in on very specific aims. We've invested in the personal training of our senses with a goal to achieve results. These results have certainly come to bear fruit as the energy in the nine of pentacles card reflects. We intuit elements of balance and rooted footing as we see equidistant trees in the background of the Waite (left card in the trio) version. Moreover, the grape clusters pervading the scene indicate a network of connections made within a mutually nurturing community to seal that feeling of success and acceptance in our endeavors. The high-minded and beneficent symbolism in this card is epic (a few symbolic highlights are below listed). Invest the time to meditate on the nine of pentacles and see where this card grounds you in your visions. There should be no question, this card marks the path of a well trained, highly attuned and successful traveler whose rewards are strewn at every pace. Independence from financial concerns and worries—there’s abundance gained. Secure base—enjoying its money, resources, and physical energy. Experiencing in a well-coordinated totality. Reversed: Secure base is shaky and probably dependant on someone else, like spouse or relative for your financial well-being. Some circumstances have caused you to lose your independence, which you’ll regain.

Children: Children represent promise, hope, fresh starts, new beginnings, new ideas, and a fresh way at looking at the world. Children are full of promise for the future and as such they are a symbol of this promise. When they show up on the cards in a reading it could mean the beginning of a new venture, the promise of a new beginning, or it could literally mean children are on their way (new births/adoptions). Dogs: Man (and woman's) best friend - symbol meanings of the dog deals with fidelity, honesty, loyalty, and truth. When the dog symbol pops out at us, we might ask ourselves one of the following questions: 1) Where are our loyalties? 2) In what are we putting our faith? 3) Are we being true to ourselves? To our community? The dog in our cards is also a good indication that we're on the right track as they are symbolic of stability and righteousness. Staff (in the non-elderly adult male's left hand, Rider version): Here we are recognizing staff's found in the cards that are specifically used for support by the archetypes in the cards. With this parameter in mind, staff symbol meanings deal with support, stability, direction, and single-ness of purpose. The staff is also a symbolic representation of the numeral one, and as such is carries a meaning of new beginnings, first-attempts, and again, single-mindedness in thought as well as deed. The joy and celebration in this card is palpable, and leaves with very little nuance on which elaborate. The scenario in the ten of pentacles is wrought from a strong bond among people who share a common vision and who have worked loyally together to coax that dream into reality. This is a manifestation of mass proportions and its reality comes about on multi-levels. Achievement of core goals as demonstrated in the ten of pentacles requires mammoth life choreography. Consider the myriad of personalities within any organized group. Now consider just a few of these elements required to bring about a consensus of vision to allow for the group to "win" as a whole: Strong foundation; intense focus; unshakeable commitment; empathy for all the members in the group; perspective in the present moment; foresight for future outcomes; diplomatic leadership (the kind that leads while enabling others to be leaders too). And, there's a reason we've reached this apex at the end of the pentacles suit. Note this kind of exuberance is expressed in the ten of pentacles, not in the two of its kind. Because it takes time to build this kind of harmony. Time, preparation and a veteran experience with life itself. The ten of pentacles comes up in a reading when we've reached a climax in our foundational life that required the spice of actively living in order to enhance the flavor of our experience. You’ve established a solid and secure life both in business and in family. Enjoying the fruits of your labor—emphasizing home and family at this point… may plan to build a new home… family matters at the forefront. Inheritance. Reversed: You are so established that you may be just there. Activate some growth in your life to avoid mental stagnation; take up a hobby or start a new business.

In the nine of cups, yellow represents our emotional well-being. His or her suit is of the earth, and his or her station is earth-bound too. That makes the page of pentacles a double-earth sign and fully aware of his or her affinity to nature in all forms. The page of pentacles is an avid explorer, and his or her interests are pretty diverse. Enjoys philosophical pursuits, particularly in the realms of esotericism. As the Page of Pentacles he or she has access to high education, and is persistent in studies at schools of mysteries. Everything is subject to his investigation. The page of pentacles approaches his studies with open-mindedness, but not so naïve that he or she can't make his or her own judgment calling about what is fact and what is fiction. Loves to start new projects, but the page of pentacles is very selective. One can say that he or she is precocious because even at his or her young age, the page of pentacles is thoughtful about starting things unless sure he or she can finish them. If you met the page of pentacles on the street you would think he or she is much younger than the page of pentacles really is, that's because he or she has a fresh face to the world. The page of pentacles has deep brown eyes and looks out on the world with friendly expectation and innocence. People love this about the page of pentacles, and that's why they find him or her so physically attractive too. As the Page of Pentacles he or she serves as a messenger of simplicity and devotion in your readings. When the page of pentacles shows in your cards, he or she will explain how nurturing and tilling the souls of your life will render you favorable results, and will also remind you how paying attention to details and enjoying simple, earthly pleasures is a reward in itself. This card indicates a message regarding the acquisition of money or material goods. News is good—Intelligent, refined, sensitive to the arts, and appreciative of good life; ambitious and determined. If not a person, your own worldly ambitions… possibly introverted but with a good sense of humor. For example: The domain of pentacles is a material world dealing with work, money, home and health. The page of pentacles will whisper news about financial trends, and offer sweet suggestions about domestic issues. Reversed: The opposite—lazy, uninterested. If not a person, the message may be bad news about money matters or some sort of disappointment—more effort or focus is needed. Dull, resentful, no sense of humor. IP: Logged |

Determination to make sure things work as they are supposed to. As the Knight of Pentacles, a great deal of responsibility is in his charge. Never feels burdened by it. Enjoys hard work and being in control. It makes him feel important and part of something grander than himself. Works well in the community, but feels his natural role is that of a leader; has a tendency to be pushy or bossy, but he can't help it. He simply wants to be sure everything is done correctly and in a timely way. Fiercely protective, people feel safe around him, he is a simple man, If he wants something, he expects to work for it… pragmatic planning. He has a dark complexion and dark hair. People find these traits attractive in him, and has no troubles in the social arena; he rather thinks his looks are average. He looks a lot like a younger version of his uncle, the King of Wands. And, like him, he can dress in common man's clothes and none are the wiser as to his aristocratic status. When the knight of pentacles pays a visit in the Tarot cards, he is likely going to tell you to get back to work at protecting your assets. His season is the summertime, and as any vineyard owner will tell you, it's the season of endless chores. Resting on laurels is not an option. The good news is, all that hard work will pay off. If a person, someone with spirit of adventure, but who is materially minded and not likely to be a self-starter. If not a person, suggests a situation involving arrivals and/or departures… may quit a job for more money elsewhere. Moving (relocate) in relations to money. Focus is on determination. For example: The domain of pentacles is a material world dealing with work, money, home and health. Reversed: Unwelcome message about money, a loss of some kind or disappointment due to unforeseen delay. If not a person he shows a situation where there’s an element of depression and problems with money.
