I forgot to mention the question that's been recurring to me lately, similar to the one that teased Zhuangzi after he dreamed he was a butterfly (or was he a butterfly dreaming of being a man?):Am I me who once dreamed of having been of an alien species, or am I a member of that alien species that's having a dream of being of an extinct sentient species on Earth? ^ So happy to see you again Lei_Keui haven't seen you around. 'Love the onesie!PJ, incredible story, I loved it! And maybe it was more than a story? Maybe you channelled a future alien you? In Divine Diversities, I've talked about how, in the absence of any kind of religious framework, I can't understand karma, because you need moral absolutes to establish good and bad. It seems that most humans feel that morals and ethics only apply to interpersonal relationships...but that is absurdly narrow. Some of us take on additional responsibilities for the earth and animals, which is better, but we still get into sticky moral quandaries. For example, euthanasia and abortion, or even killing an animal to feed another that's starving. The food chain has animals devouring each other and that's "good"...but how should humans function in that chain? Sometimes I think the greatest good is to cultivate high awareness and wield that intuitively, in the present...it's nothing words can ever touch because it's always circumstantial and immediate. But I'm just wafting around grasping at straws.
